YAKIMA, Wash. Barbara Justis says she was taken from her home at the age of 5 and sold for sex until she was 22. Now 46 and living in Yakima, Justis says the healing only began in recent years.

Sharing her story through tears with about 60 people gathered at Millennium Plaza in downtown Yakima to bring awareness to the human trafficking epidemic, Justis said putting an end to the sex trade starts with building a community that cares about victims.
