Prof. Russolo composed this Russolo Vespers. A sung service in which he studies the relation between silence and noise and the relation between innovation and tradition. Ensemble #39;Gregoriana #39; sings Italian lyrics from his Futurist manifesto l #39;Arte dei Rumori #39; (1913) set to music in, especially by him, deformed gregorian modes. Prof. Russolo is present during the service and, in his own inimitable way, illuminate a thing or two with word and gesture.
