Mr Squirrel Speaks From The Grave - Respect Animal Rights!
Walking home today and I see this little guy lying in the street shaking, trying to move. Saw a car screech about a hour ago from blocks away but thought it was just taking off. I took him home. Neighbors told me the car hit him about an hour ago, driver did not stop. There were no other cars on the road and it would have been safe for this person to stop the car and try to help the squirrel. All they had to do was bring him to an animal shelter so they can save his life or if his injuries were too severe, put him to sleep so he did not have to suffer, alone. Our other neighbors; not one of them would go outside in the cold (Massachusetts weather) to bring the squirrel inside. Only a little boy was on the street and called me over to help. Squirrels rarely have rabies and they make loving pets. Neighbors should have called animal control; they know how to handle animals safely and they respond here in Worcester, MA even for these little critters. There are some people in this world who seem to not have a heart, no conscience, no feeling for life other than their own well-being. Too many people are in a big rat race to the top. I can #39;t understand this. It #39;s a lack of spiritual growth and/or life experience, maybe malfunction in the DNA, brain, emotions..? Animals have rights! Domestic and wildlife. There are many squirrels in our neighborhood and a few of us feed them in the back yard.
