WW3 fears as Russia accuses US of staging nuclear strike with TEN BOMBERS and puts nuke forces on co… – The Sun

Posted: at 9:48 pm

MOSCOW has accused the US of secretly staging a mock nuclear attack on TEN bomber planes 20km from their border "putting Russian forces on alert."

Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said the Kremlin had noticed a significant increase in activity by American strategic bombers, which he said had carried out 30 flights close to Russia this month.

3

He claims that is 2.5 times more than the same period last year.

Shoigu complained of what he said was a simulated US nuclear strike against Russia earlier this month.

He said: "The defence minister underlined that during the US military exercises 'Global Thunder', 10 American strategic bombers rehearsed launching nuclear weapons against Russia from the western and eastern directions.

"The minimum proximity to our state border was 20km."

Shoigu said Russian air defence units had spotted and tracked the US strategic bombers and taken unspecified measures to avoid any incidents.

His ministrys TV channel Zvezda interpreted his comments as him saying: NATO activity dictates the need to maintain nuclear forces on combat readiness.

The Pentagon has hit back insisting its drills were announced publicly at the time and adhered to international protocols.

This comes at a time of high tension with Washington over Ukraine, with US officials voicing concerns about a possible Russian attack on its southern neighbour - a suggestion Russia has denied.

Moscow has in turn accused the United States, NATO and Ukraine of provocative behaviour, pointing to US arms supplies to Ukraine, Kiev's use of Turkish drones against Russian-backed separatists and NATO exercises close to its borders.

Exclusive

Pentagon spokesperson Anton Semelroth said: "These missions were announced publicly at the time, and closely planned with Strategic Command, European Command, allies and partners to ensure maximum training and integration opportunities as well as compliance with all national and international requirements and protocols."

Top Russian and US military officers, Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, spoke by telephone but neither side disclosed the contents of the conversation.

Global Thunder, which this year put US nuclear-capable B-52 bombers through their paces, is the US Strategic Command's annual nuclear and command exercise designed to test and demonstrate the readiness of America's nuclear capabilities.

President Vladimir Putin referenced the apparent episode last week, complaining of Western strategic bombers carrying "very serious weapons" close to Russia.

He said the West was taking Moscow's warnings not to cross its "red lines" too lightly.

Shoigu made the comments in a video conference with Chinese Defence Minister Wei Fenghe. He said that US bomber flights close to Russia's eastern borders were also a threat to China.

3

"Against this backdrop, Russo-Chinese coordination is becoming a stabilising factor in world affairs," said Shoigu.

Russia and China agreed at their meeting to step up cooperation between their armed forces when it came to strategic military exercises and joint patrols, the defence ministry said.

Earlier this month, Russia warned relations with the West are almost at boiling point as tensions mount over migrants at the Poland-Belarus border.

With Nato and Russian forces playing cat and mouse games, Putin has said he would simply destroy any country that encroached on his countrys territory.

Recent days have seen US officials warnRussiamay beplotting an imminent invasionofUkraine, with the Kremlin massing100,000 troops on their border.

And Putin's regime has been accused of stoking the unfolding migrant crisis between Belarus and Poland andeven sent their own nuclear bombers into the area.

Belarus - dubbed Europe's last dictatorship - has been accused of "weaponising" migration against the EU sparking atense stand-off along their border with Polandwith troops on both sides.

Peter Rhodes on Covid tests, preparing for WW3 and how Lionel dealt with a heckler – expressandstar.com

Lionel Blair - winning smile

I may have discovered why only 14 per cent of the 691 million lateral-flow tests issued to test and trace Covid 19 have been forwarded to the NHS.

I did my first Covid-19 test a few days ago. It proved negative but as a good citizen, I did as the authorities ask and went online to register my result, encouraged by the notes with the test which tell you you'll need the identifying number on the plastic test strip. What the notes don't tell you is that in order to register, you'll also need your NHS number (the one you can never remember) and your mobile-phone number (ditto).

If you stick with it, hunt those numbers down and report the result, 24 hours later you will be rewarded with an email and text both telling you: Your coronavirus lateral flow test is negative. Which is precisely what you told them 24 hours earlier. You begin to understand why so few people report their results.

Test and trace is described as the flagship of the NHS Covid-19 programme. The lesson of history is that flagships get sunk.

Incidentally, isn't it scary how far you can shove the test straw up your nose? I assumed the mild resistance I encountered was my skull.

I wrote some time ago about the well-recruited Territorial Army after the Second World War. Having been conscripted to fight in that catastrophe, why would so many ex-squaddies volunteer for the TA? An old sweat writes to explain. If you chose the right TA unit and gained a trade (in his case as an ambulance driver), you might get a cushy number in the Third World War. I joined the TA, he explains, because if there was another war, I didn't want to go back in the infantry. All is clear.

Way back in ye olden days I knew a chorus girl who became one of the Lionel Blair Dancers. As a result I encountered Blair, who has died at 92, a couple of times. He was fun and his dancers clearly adored him. At one of his shows I attended, some heckling drunk in the front row made a homophobic remark. Blair who was a straight family man, told him with a winning smile: Don't bandy words with me, I'll crucify you. The heckling stopped.

US secretly training Taiwan troops and conducted 2,000 spy missions in China sparking WW3 fears… – The US Sun

Posted: October 30, 2021 at 2:47 pm

TAIWANS president has admitted for the first time that US troops have been on the island secretly training its military.

Tsai Ing-wen was speaking as China said American planes and ships carried out 2,000 spying missions against Beijing, amid rising fears of war between the two nuclear powers.

3

3

Authoritarian China considers Taiwan part of its territory and has vowed to reunify the island state with the mainland, by force if necessary.

The secret presence of the US has raised eyebrows as Washington does not recognise the island as an independent nation.

America does not have a formal defence pact with the island and is deliberately ambiguous about what it would do in the event of a Chinese invasion although its generally thought the US would come to its defence.

Asked in an interview with CNN how many US troops were in Taiwan, Tsai replied "not as many as people thought".

"We have a wide range of cooperation with the US aiming at increasing our defence capability," she added.

When asked if she was confident that the United States would help defend Taiwan if necessary against China, Tsai replied: "I do have faith."

China meanwhile has said US warships and planes carried out 2,000 close spying operations aimed at its forces this year.

The targets include Chinese controlled islands and reefs in the South China Sea, as well as the coastal area of the Chinese mainland, the South China Morning Post reports

The details were revealed by Cao Yanzhong, a researcher with the People's Liberation Army Academy of Military Science at a recent conference.

He said the spying missions raised the prospect of war.

"The high frequency of such close reconnaissance endangers China's sovereign security and heightens regional tensions, which will inevitably trigger firm opposition from China and undoubtedly increase the risk of gunfire," he said.

US reconnaissance planes, ships and submarines have also been carrying out more operations to monitor Chinese military air and naval bases on the islands and near the coast.

China has also accused the US of disguising warplanes as civilian aircraft for close-shore reconnaissance missions.

Recent weeks have seen Beijing send record numbers of warplanes in to fly close to Taiwan in what are seen as invasion rehearsals as it threatens to strike any time.

In response, Tsai has said the island will never bow to Chinese pressure and its leaders say it is preparing for war.

Taiwans disputed status stems from the Chinese civil war, which was fought between 1946 and 1949.

Former Chinese mainland president Chiang Kai-shek and his supporters fled to the island in 1949 following the Chinese Communist Party victory.

The island of 25 million people has since developed its own democratic identity and party of current President Tsai supports moves towards full independence which Beijing says will trigger war.

Many Millennials Think WW3 Is Coming. What Could Cause It? – Interesting Engineering

Posted: October 21, 2021 at 10:53 pm

The 20th-century was certainly a bloody one. Over the course of two world wars, tens of millions of people were killed, countless economies collapsed, and some of the world's strongest empireswere brought to their knees.

These wars shocked the world so much so that most of the rest of the century was spent attempting to prevent such a thing from ever happening again. But have such provisions been enough to stop a third world war? If not, what could cause World War III? Let's explore.

War is, sadly, part and parcel of human history. As far as we can tell, humans have been at it for as long as our species has existed on this planet and animals were in conflict before us. Some of the earliest evidence of warfare was unearthed in Kenya, where anthropologists uncovered remains of people who had died violently sometimes between 9,500 and 10,500 years ago - the earliest scientifically-dated evidence of organized human violence.

War could be a consequence of our biology, or a completely human construct initiated and maintained by organized societies. Like most things in life, the true underlying causes are likely a combination of the two schools of thought.

The triggers for war are pretty diverse but generally center around some common themes like the need for resources, conflicting ideas, expansion of territory, revenge for perceived wrongs, frustration with the status quo (i.e. revolution). The two major world wars of the 20th-century include some aspects of all of these, with the complication that WW1 was largely seen as an unsatisfactory end to the burning pressures between interested parties. This, according to some, laid the ground for WW2, and, to a certain extent, continued into the Cold War and beyond.

Today, the world is a different place, at least on the surface, compared to the 1940s. However, people, and by extension nations, can have a very long memory. And we've had some very close calls since the end of the Second World War like The Korean War,The Berlin Crisis of 1961,The Cuban Missle Crisis of 1962, and the Yom Kippur War of 1973, to name but a few.

And fears of a new world war are growing. According to some recent studies, nearly half of all millennials believe they will see the world plunging into a world war within their lifetimes.

While we cannot be precisely clear what might trigger WW3, there are some pressure points around the world that some think could kick things off.

First popularized by the American political scientist Graham T. Allison, many believe that another massive global conflict may happen in only a matter of time through a phenomenon called the "Thucydides Trap."

The premise of it is that throughout human history, there is a tendency towards war when an emerging power threatens to displace an existing great power for regional or international hegemony. Today, that would apply to the growing power and influence of the People's Republic of China and the decline of the power of the United States.

The term was coined in reference to the ancient Athenian historian and military general called, funnily enough,Thucydides. In his view, at the time of his writing, he suggested that the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta was inevitable because of Sparta's growing anxiety over the growth in Athenian Power leading up to the conflict.

In Allison's view, of the 16, or so, times that a similar scenario has arisen over the last 500 years, the outcome has been an outright war in 12 cases. In the other four cases, he notes, was avoided through either some imaginative statecraft or pure chance.

For example, one of the case studies that did not end in war was between the rising United States and the British Empire at the turn of the 20th-century. The United States would ultimately surpass and replace the British as a dominant global power but as an ally of Britain, not an enemy.

While this theory, of course, has its critics, it is a compelling argument and one that may predict all-out war erupt as China's economic and military power continues to rival that of the United States.

Taiwan is something of unfinished business for the Chinese Communist Party. After the conclusion of the Chinese Civil War in the 1940s, remnants of the defeated Kuomintang(KMT) controlledRepublic of China (ROC) took refuge on the island, where they maintain a form of self-determination separate from the mainland.

The People's Republic of China (PRC), to this day, considers Taiwan as part of China and does not recognize the legitimacy of the ROC. If China decides to invade the island, this could, some fear, trigger a chain of events that could escalate very quickly.

The PRC has been taking particularly belligerent actions recently, including violating Taiwanese airspace, which some analysts think could be a sign of things to come very soon.Of course, other parts of the world could also equally be the kindling for a new world war Iran and North Korea being key areas to keep an eye on.

The world's population is around eight billion today. This is set to grow to at least almost 10 billion by 2050 if current trends are maintained. That's two billion more mouths to feed and water. While some are confident technological improvements and management strategies can handle it, others are concerned that this might reach a tipping point in which demand outstrips supply.

If the pessimists are right, water and food shortages will likely not be taken lightly by much of the world's population. After all, food scarcity was one of the major triggers for the French Revolution.

Many compounding issues, from environmental issues, water-hungry industries, and poor resource management from governments, may create a perfect storm where food and water supplies will not be able to keep up with the rising population to come. Not to mention the potential impact climate change could have on extreme weather events and droughts.

If this prediction is correct, then we may be entering a period of increased civil unrest, revolutions, and, perhaps, state-on-state struggles for control of basic commodities. It is not difficult to see how this could trigger a global war the likes of which we've never seen.

But, experts are more confident that intra-border conflicts will be more likely. If that is any encouragement to you? However, this doesn't need to be the case. Technology could rise to the challenge as it often has in the past. Necessity is the mother of invention, after all.

Not a day goes by that some financial expert appears on our screens, or in the press, about an impending economic collapse "worse than ever before." This is nothing new, and such predictions are usually overplayed or unfounded.

However, they have happened before, and do occur in ominous, almost predictable cycles roughly every decade or so. But when they do happen, instability tends to follow in its wake.

While never usually the primary cause of global conflicts, events like depressions create the kind of social unrest that can lay the foundations for war. Around the world, many governments have turned on the printing presses to try to spend their way out of the crisis which will have serious consequences in the near future.

How this manifests itself in the global economy is yet to be seen, but it's not looking good so far.

Our modern electronic world would not be possible without some key resources critical for making many of the electronic devices we use every day. From smartphones to your internet router, and everything in between, they all need basic electronic components to actually work.

Pretty much all electronics require a good deal of mineralraw materials and chemicals that, if supply were to dry up, would pretty much bottleneck electronic production. Typical common key resources include materials like copper, lithium, tin, silver, gold, nickel, and aluminum.

The pressure on these resources is also being accelerated with the global push to decarbonize and switch to renewable technologies and electrically power vehicles too.

Some of these key resources, like lithium, for example, are not universally abundant or available, and maintaining access to them has become something of a national security issue for many nations. One particular place that has some of these materials in abundance isAfghanistan.

The long-overdue and sadly controversial, withdrawal of the U.S. and international forces has put some serious doubt on the future control of these materials. If access to these materials is hampered artificially in any way, this could cause some very serious tensions around the world.

Perhaps enough to trigger a devastating global war?

Throughout most of human history, mass migration has been the result of, not the cause of conflict the Hunnicinvasions of the 5th-century being a prime example.

But some have warned that the kind of mass migration we have seen over the last decade or so could set the scene for conflict in the not too distant future. Some even believe we are only just entering an era called the "migration wars."

The reasons for these large-scale migrations vary from civil wars to environmental disasters or economic desperation. And these issues are likely only going to get worse as populations rise.

In recent times, the ongoing war in Syria has resulted in tens of millions of refugees seeking safety in neighboring countries and in the West. Often taking incredibly perilous journies over land and sea to do so. But, it's not just the West being affected.

Since 2017, around half a million Rohingya people have fled persecution in Myanmar to seek relative safety in neighboring states, notably Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Mass migration is also becoming an issue for Western Africa.

The problem is also being accelerated by technology as access to information of the quality of life, or perceived quality of life, in other parts of the world, are now readily accessible.

Such large influxes of new people cause understandable trepidation and very real pressures on the infrastructure and economy of native populations. This can lead host nations to intervene overseas in an attempt to curb the flow of refugees. While this can be done peacefully, it is all too often violent.

Such interventions run the risk of sparking something much more serious. Not to mention making the problem worse.

We can never know if another world war is on the cards or not in the near future, but rest assured the world has gone through many trials and tribulations in the past. Only twice (arguably once with a two-decade ceasefire) has this led to an all-out war.

Some of the potential causes highlighted above can be resolved peacefully. After all, Einstein is credited as once poignantly saying "Ido not know with what weaponsWorld WarIII will be fought, butWorld WarIVwill be fought with sticksand stones."

Food for thought.

WW3 fears as China puts military on ‘high alert’ and issues ‘Doomsday’ warning – Daily Star

Posted: October 17, 2021 at 4:46 pm

World War 3 tensions continue to rise as China threatens Taiwan with "doomsday" and reportedly has soldiers on "high alert".

A week after China vowed to "fight to the death" for control over Taiwan, its state-run newspaper has added that Beijing's military is "ready to fight any time".

China trying to "reunify" with Taiwan could spark a third world war if the West rallies together to defend the island 112 miles from China's coast.

Taiwan broke away from the Communist state for independence in 1949 but now faces an apparently determined President Xi Jinping, who sees reclaiming the island as a huge political victory.

Chinese defence ministry spokesman Tan Kefei told The Global Times that the military is on "high alert" and "ready to fight any time".

America has accused China of destabilising the region with a series of military drills it considers to be a deliberate show of intimidation over Taiwan.

Dozens of warplanes have recorded soaring back and forth over the island's air space as have 'rehearsals of a full scale invasion' been carried out with mass beach landing operations, The Sun reports.

Tan Kefei refuted the allegations yet reiterated that Taiwan belongs to China and everybody else needs to back down and let the 'reunification' happen.

The spokesman told The Global Times that the US is "confusing white with black" and "external interference" would be beaten back.

Tan also warned Washington to "stop any form of official contact and military relations with the island".

Another article published by the Communist Party's media mouthpiece said that Taiwan faces "doomsday", describing the island's relationship with the US as "the last madness".

The Global Times reported: "The hope of a peaceful solution to the Taiwan question is declining sharply."

For more incredible stories from the Daily Star, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here

It continued: "The mainland has to consider how to safeguard the national sovereignty of China and resolve the Taiwan question once and for all by force."

The piece quoted President Xi condemning Taiwan for resisting China's attempts to take back control of the island.

Xi said: "Those who forget their heritage, betray their motherland, and seek to split the country will come to no good end," and "they will be disdained by the people and condemned by history."

A blacklist of so-called secessionists has been drawn up by China to bring "very small group of extremists and vicious politicians" in Taiwan to justice, The Global Times reports.

China ‘has been preparing for WW3’ for years as experts claim they have proof – Daily Star

Posted: at 4:46 pm

Experts have suggested that the next World War will be started by China, and its huge military has already been training for it for the past few years.

Current tensions between Beijing and the West following China's activities near Taiwan and in its air space has experts believing that a full-out conflict is inevitable, and could happen soon.

Chinese soldiers have been seen training in a mammoth replica city which shares many similarities to Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.

It reportedly only took China two years to construct the mock city and clips began to emerge of the People Liberation Army (PLA) conducting a menacing-looking invasion drill.

The clip showed troops dropping from choppers into the fake city, as exploding bombs caused smoke to rise up from the streets, as soldiers made their way to presidential headquarters, news.com.au reports.

Experts claim that the invasion drills show that the PLA is "more than ready" to take on a full-blown conflict.

If China was to carry out the drill for real, a bloody chain reaction would likely occur, with the United States and its allies being drawn into defending Taiwan.

The Diplomat reported that despite the mock presidential building not being an exact replica of the real thing in downtown Taipei, the many "similarities are striking".

"Both of the buildings have a bisected rectangle layout, are five stories high with six stories at the corners and have a central tower over the main entrance," the report added.

As well as the presidential building, the replica features an L shaped structure opposite that bears many similarities to Taipei's First Girls' High School.

To stay up to date with all the latest news, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here.

The Diplomat's report said: "Its sports field is the largest space near the Presidential Office Building that would be unencumbered by vehicles or trees if the PLAs helicopters were seeking to land close to Taiwans seat of government."

Taiwan Defence Ministry said the country's training drill and mock city was "absolutely unacceptable".

Beijing has since said that the attack was a routine drill.

But The Diplomat report claimed that the drill was not in any way routine, claiming that the "real" drill had "practical value for the PLA in training for an invasion of Taiwan."

Should We Be Worried That China’s Treatment Of Taiwan Risks WW3? – Todayuknews – Todayuknews

Posted: at 4:46 pm

COULD the world be heading to war?

The question may seem strange, as we struggle with basic issues at home, such as how to just get a tank of petrol.

But events a couple of continents away are a reminder that the world is often on a trigger point, and the Communist Party of China is starting to look very trigger happy indeed.

Earlier this week the Communists sent a record number of fighter jets into the airspace of neighbouring Taiwan.

The CCP believes that Taiwan belongs to them. It does not.

Taiwan is a sovereign nation whose people have managed to escape the curse of Chinese Communist rule for decades.

But if there is one thing the CCP excels at, it is pursuing long-term goals.

Between Friday and Monday of this week a record 149 Chinese warplanes deliberately flew into Taiwanese airspace.

The CCP is solely responsible for these provocative acts.

And they know that each time they do it they are only one step away from hurtling the region, and the world, into full-on military conflict, turning an existing Cold War into a very hot war indeed.

The Cold War with China is itself something that has crept up on us.

For the last twenty years, since China entered the World Trade Organisation, there was a hope that the country would normalize.

They have done anything but. They have become richer, certainly, and they have built up their military, for sure.

But they have also tried to flex their muscles on the international stage in a way that is becoming increasingly intolerable.

Too few people in the West realise the true scale of this ramping up of tensions by the CCP.

Last year the American government ordered the Chinese authorities to close their consulate in Houston, Texas.

The cause was the discovery that the consulate acted as one huge Communist spy ring.

This was spying on a scale that was unimaginable, even during the Cold War standoff between the West and Russia.

The Chinese were using their consulate to hoover-up intelligence including information about American businesses.

It was an escalation of a decades-long process of information theft by the Chinese.

All done at the behest of the authorities in Beijing.

And it is not just America that Beijing has in its sights.

Any country that the communists think is daring to stand up to them is treated in a way unheard of among civilized nations.

Take the hostage stand-off that has just finished between China and Canada.

Yes Canada, a country which under PM Justin Trudeau has become perhaps the developed worlds most ridiculous and unserious nation.

Three years ago the Canadian authorities detained Meng Wanzhou, the chief financial officer of Chinese tech company Huawei.

This company has been central to CCP influence and information peddling in recent years.

4

It is essentially a front of the Chinese government. Wanzhou was detained on fraud charges.

And how did China react?

It immediately kidnapped two Canadian citizens who were in China, under invented charges of espionage.

It was a straightforward hostage situation.

These two Canadian men Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor spent more than 1000 days languishing in Chinese prisons.

Without realising it, we have been in a Cold War with China for many years.

Douglas Murray

It was all part of an ugly kidnap and extortion by the Communist authorities against citizens of a free democracy.

It was a disgraceful episode, only concluded this week, when both sides did an effective prisoner exchange.

One CCP official responded to this by saying that the Canadians shouldnt be so upset.

After all, most Canadians who go to China are allowed back home.

Such brazenness by the Chinese Communists is a new thing.

Perhaps they are emboldened by the fact that they have got away with releasing a virus that has killed millions of people around the world.

And they not only got away with this.

They have got away with their coverup, refusing to answer any questions about the laboratory which the coronavirus almost certainly came from.

Or perhaps their recent military aggression against Taiwan is a result of something else.

The sight of America and her allies scrambling to get out of Afghanistan, chased from that country after 20 years by the rag-tag Taliban and other terrorist groups.

The CCP knows that America in theory vows to protect the sovereignty of Taiwan.

Too few people in the West realise the true scale of this ramping up of tensions by the CCP.

Douglas Murray

But in theory the Americans were meant to defend Afghanistan, or least not disastrously retreat leaving their citizens and equipment behind.

The CCP may have calculated that the aftermath of a display of such Western weakness is a good time to test the resolve of America and her allies on other issues, including Taiwan.

Without realising it, we have been in a Cold War with China for many years.

If that were to turn into a hot war then it would certainly be the fault of the communists.

They are the ones who have started it.

But if China keeps pushing Taiwanese and Western resolve, then it should be us who finishes it.

Aliens could trigger WW3 after taking control of nuclear weapons & tampering with missiles, says ex-… – The US Sun

Posted: October 15, 2021 at 8:52 pm

ALIENS could spark a future global conflict after taking control of nuclear weapons and tampering with missiles, an ex-military officer has claimed.

Robert Salas was at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana in March 1967 when ten intercontinental ballistic missiles unexpectedly stopped working.

3

3

The weapons moved into the no-go setting meaning they couldnt be launched even if there was an order to do so.

Salas alleged the incident happened when a strange-looking object was spotted glowing in the sky, according to CBS.

Officials scrambled to get the ICBMs back online but they couldn't find any physical damage or explanation for the sudden problem.

Salas claims that aliens tampered with the weapons and disabled them, the Daily Star reports.

Retired missile targeting officer Robert Jamison recalled several occasions where he had to "restart" the deactivated missiles.

Salas claimed a similar incident happened at a control facility just days before.

He and three other ex-captains will speak about cases of alleged UFO interference and reveal declassified papers in the coming days.

They will discuss their involvement in UFO incidents at nuclear missile launch facilities and test sites.

Findings will be presented at a conference on October 19 and they hope lawmakers in Congress will hold investigations into claims that UFOs have disabled nuclear weapons.

US military and intelligence officials have reported alleged UFO sightings near nuclear testing sites for more than seven decades.

The phenomena may have been triggered by the first atomic bomb tests in the 1940s.

Green fireballs were spotted in Sandia, New Mexico in 1948 where the atomic bomb was developed and tested, History reports.

A mysterious declassified FBI report, produced by Guy Hottel, from the 1950s titled Flying Saucer details alleged sightings in New Mexico.

The paper claimed three flying saucers - around 50 feet in diameter - were recovered, CNN reports.

An allegation states: The Government has a very high-powered radar set up in the area and it is believed the radar interferes with the controlling mechanism of the saucers. The FBI took no further action.

US Air Force air traffic controller Ivan Barker spotted a mysterious object hovering over RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk, England in December 1980.

The base was used by the US Air Force during the Cold War against the Soviet Union.

Barker told History: We looked up on the radar scope and saw something not like anything Id seen before.

He said the object was looked like a helicopter but it was stationary and shaped like a basketball.

He said: I was shocked. There was nothing aerodynamic about it. Basketballs dont fly.

Fears that orbs could pose a national security risk escalated among lawmakers after the conclusions of the Pentagon's UFO report were leaked in June.

The report investigated 144 sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) but officials could only identify one incident with high confidence -a large deflating balloon.

The dossier said the unexplained aerial sightings could besecret aircraft from Chinaor Russia or a "non-government" terror group.

Former MOD officialNick Popepreviously told the Sun: Whether it's Russia sending drones dangerously close to aircraft carriers or whether it really is something from further away, it is a defense and national security issue and you cant just dismiss it.

Republican lawmaker Tim Burchett warned, something is going on that we cant handle.

Ahead of Joe Bidens summit with Vladimir Putin, the congressman alleged that the Russian strongman wouldve sent a UAP to show his superiority.

He told Newsmax: I mean, honestly, Putin as an egomaniac, if they had a UFO he would have landed one on the steps of the White House just to show his superiority.

Burchett told TMZhes having a hard time thinking that Moscow is behind alleged sightings.

The reportcouldn't rule out that UAP sightingsresulted from alien visitors - despite concluding no evidence was found.

The current consensus in the science world is that no one can say for sure whether aliens exist.

NASA an expert in space activity has remained notoriously tight-lipped when it comes to alien life.

The lack of scientific consensus has led social media users to wildly speculate that aliens could land on Earth in the future.

TikTokuser @Futuretimetraveller claims that their arrival would lead to an interdimensional war with the US.

The text in the "time traveler's" video wildly claims: Aliens will make their first appearance on Earth next year. The exact date they are first sighted is May 24th, 2022.

From my time, there are many different aliens, and they actually live on Earth as citizens in the future.

The time traveler claims the mythical creatures are called Nirons and will come in peace.

According to the users unsubstantiated predictions, the US will attack the aliens, starting an "interdimensional war".

Aliens ‘tampered with nukes’ and could spark WW3, warns Airforce officer – JOE.co.uk

A former head-honcho at the US Air Force claimed that aliens were very close to instigating World War Three after apparently witnessing them tampering with nuclear weapons systems.

Former American Air Force bosses are set to go on the record about their experiences with aliens - sorry Demi Lovato, we mean extraterrestrials.

They claim these encounters go back decades and that the little green men came close to starting the next World War, reports the Daily Star.

According to the story, top officials claim that off-world spacecrafts disabled weapons systems at nuclear bases and even started the launch sequence of missiles before later turning them off. Phew.

On March 24, 1967, former Air Force officer, Robert Salas, was the on-duty commander of an underground launch control facility at the Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana.

Salas claims that numerous extraterrestrial encounters occurred at the time. These multiple incidents reportedly left military officials concerned over a possible attack.

Salas and three other former military brass intend to release declassified documents to the world via a press conference they have raised $10,000 to hold. The press conference is set for October 19.

With the big day approaching, could the world be about to finally get some answers about life outside of our atmosphere - or are the men's tinfoil hats slipping?

It's a good day to be an alien PR guru because in other news Demi Lovato has shared their opinions on the term alien.

"I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything," Lovato said.

They added: "That's why I like to call them ETs!"
