Fashion week is back, people. And frankly, the sartorial relief has never been more welcome: our newsfeeds have been dominated with partygate, and god, why does WW3 suddenly feel disgustingly imminent?

Praise the fashion gods for delivering excellent shows so far. We've seen Euphoria-esque, cool girl co-ords from Coach; tulles on tulles from Carolina Herrera, and a full latex ensemble from Christian Siriano. The fashion has - inevitably - been a delicious spectacle.

The eyes of Grazia's beauty team though, naturally, are on the make-up. The beauty looks to come from fashion week are something to marvel at, and forecast trends to know for the year ahead. Graphic eyeliner? Neon eyeshadow? Bare, glossy lips? You'll see it at fashion week first.

Strap yourself in and scroll on down for some serious fashion week make-up inspo. Take notes: we anticipate you'll be seeing a whole lot more of them in the weeks to come.

Christian Cowan opted for glossy, smudgy eyes and clear glossy lips to accompany. Chic, but don't wear this one outside in the wind.

The theme here? Well placed gloss, apparently. Marrisa Wilson applied it strategically in the places you'd naturally get a little perspiration (the nasolabial folds) - but actually, it doesn't look sweaty. A few larger specks of glitter placed above the crease of the eye and underneath accompanied it.

XXL wings are in vogue, according to LaQuan. Eyeshadow is matched at equal length with the wing, and elongates the eye.

Neon, blocky, cobalt eyeshadow works particularly well against untouched skin in Dion Lee's show.

There was one common theme on the catwalks of Carolina Herrera: long, straight eyeliner. Surprisingly, it works - and doesn't drag the eye downward.

NARS were behind the looks at Tory Burch at NYFW. Make-up artist Diane Kendal says they wanted to highlight 'healthy skin, and they achieved the lit-from-within look using the new NARS Light Reflecting Foundation.'

Behind another NARS look, Diane Kendal combines a lightweight, luminous foundation with a strong, matte lip for 'the perfect play on textures.'

Stylist's at Dyson created this sleek braid-meets-bun. The key to a pristine parting? The Dyson Supersonic (with the Professional Styling Concentrator attachment) to direct airflow down the hair shafts at each side.

Zimmerman opted for blue liner that closely hugged the lashline.

Sofia Tilbury at Charlotte Tilbury was the artist behind the looks at David Koma. Her inspiration? 'A sporty, post-gym glow. We wanted the models to look like they'd just been for a run, with a healthy-looking, dewy radiance.'

bareMinerals matched their make-up to the feel of Rixo's 1930's inspired collection. 'Classic, feminine and fun' was their brief: it was interpreted with a glowy skin, balmy cheeks and smudged eyes.

Mark Petchey reacts to Novak Djokovic willing to skip tournaments over vaccine – Tennis World USA

Posted: at 6:24 pm

Mark Petchey says now that everyone knows the clear position of Novak Djokovic and tournaments it's time to switch focus to other more important things. On Tuesday, the BBC released an interview they conducted with Djokovic.

In his interview with the BBC, Djokovic confirmed that he is still unvaccinated and said that he is ready to skip tournaments over the vaccine. Djokovic has made it clear he doesn't plan to take the vaccine just for the sake of being allowed to compete in all events.

"@DjokerNole has made his views very clear. The rules of each country are now very clear on what you need to be to compete. Nothing else to say. So lets now perhaps focus on WW3 not happening because none of us need worry about Covid anymore if that starts," Petchey wrote on Twitter.

"I was never against vaccination, but I've always supported the freedom to choose what you put in your body," Djokovic told the BBC.

Djokovic says his health and well-being is more important than the all-time Grand Slam record. "Because the principles of decision making on my body are more important than any title or anything else. I'm trying to be in tune with my body as much as I possibly can," Djokovic explained.

Djokovic insists he is not against vaccination but he just wants to have the freedom of choice. "I was never against vaccination. I understand that globally, everyone is trying to put a big effort into handling this virus and seeing, hopefully, an end soon to this virus," Djokovic insisted.

Also, Djokovic recalled being detained and interrogated by the Australian Border Force. "It was very, very hard. While I was still at the airport, I couldn't use my phone for three, four hours. I was lost, really, I didn't know what was happening," Djokovic admitted.

I can use my powers to stop Putin invading Ukraine & save us from WW3 all the West needs to do is ask, s… – The US Sun

URI Geller has wildly claimed he can save the world from World War 3 as he says he has the powers to stop Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine.

The famed psychic, 75, has said he'll only intervene if Ukrainian top dogs or Joe Biden ask for his help, however.

2

Celeb spoon-bender Uri believes he has the ability to avert war erupting between Russia and NATO allies as he claims hes successfully de-escalated similar geo-political quagmires in the past.

Both Boris Johnson and French premier Emannuel Macron have tried to persuade Putin to withdraw an estimated 130,000 troops from Ukraines border.

Now, wacky Uri claims he could step in and save the day where political bigwigs have failed, saying I believe so when asked if he could stop the looming war.

But the Israeli-born mystifiersays he will only intervene if hes asked by US or Ukrainian authorities.

"I dont just go out and do something on my own or by myself, I have to get an official invitation to do something, then I judge, I wait, and then I can do whatever I feel is the right move," he added.

Uri said it would take a plea either by the Americans or Ukrainians to draw him in.

The illusionist added: I dont want to sound that Im boasting but Im very well known in Ukraine, I had a lot of television series there and everyone knows me there.

But that is really down to negotiations, its also down to my remote viewing skills, but Im sure I would be able to help.

But the self-proclaimed psychic - famed for appearing to bend cutlery with his mind on the telly - wouldnt reveal how exactly hed assist, saying thats confidential.

Pressed whether he really thinks he could help de-escalate the stand-off, he added: I believe so."

Uri previously claimed he helped Boris Johnson win the 2019 election after giving him a spoon once owned by former Israeli PM Golda Meir.

I always use my powers and abilities and skills only when Im asked by official bodies

And Uri alleges he used telepathic skills to assist the CIA in negotiations with the Soviet Union during the Cold War - claims that don't appear to have been substantiated by Washington.

Uri alleges he used telepathic skills to assist the CIA in negotiations with the Soviet Union during the Cold War - claims that don't appear to have been substantiated by Washington.

I always use my powers and abilities and skills only when Im asked by official bodies," he said,

For instance, when the Americans wanted the Russians to sign the nuclear arms reduction treaty, I was asked, I was briefed, and I flew to Geneva with them.

Americans bombarded the Russians to sign the nuclear treaty which they did.

Obviously I cant take full credit for everything but there is no doubt in my mind that I was helpful, I pushed it through.

His bizarre claims about halting war come as the PM this week warned war was looming in Europe - as Russian bullies greeted Britains peace efforts with abuse.

The PMsaid the continent stands at the most dangerous point since World War Two owing to Putins build-up of troops and tanks threatening Ukraine.

And after flying to Poland, which borders Ukraine, he appeared to compare the Russian leader to Nazi dictatorAdolf Hitler.

In a gloomy assessment,Mr Johnsonsaid: We stand on the edge of a precipice and things are as dangerous as I have seen them in Europe for a very, very long time.

The lesson of the last 100 years is that when Poland is threatened with instability, or aggression on the borders of Poland, then we are all threatened and were all affected.

Meanwhile Foreign Secretary Liz Trusss diplomatic push in Moscow ended in a bad-tempered stand-off with counterpartSergei Lavrov.

A thousand British troops are now on standby for an invasion on top of the 350Royal Marineson their way to Poland for joint Arctic warfare drills.

The UK has also offered to send warships and RAF jets, on top of 900 troops in Estonia as part of a Nato deterrence mission.

Russia accuses a US submarine of violating its waters as Putin pushes West to brink of WW3 in Ukraine… – The Sun

Posted: at 5:22 am

RUSSIA has accused a US submarine of violating its waters - with Putin pushing the West to the brink of World War Three in Ukraine.

Russia's Ministry of Defence has said a Virginia-class submarine entered its territorial waters around Urup - and ignored demands for it to surface.

9

9

9

9

According to reports, the submarine left the area after "special measures" were deployed by the Russian navy.

The ministry said it had summoned the US defence attache in Moscow over the incident.

Virginia-class submarines are mostly used for anti-submarine warfare and intelligence gathering operations.

The US navy ships are nuclear-poweredcruise missilefast-attack submarines.

The underwater warships allegedly crossed into waters near the Kuril Islands in the Pacific - where Russia has been carrying out military preparedness drills.

The Pacific chain of islands, which were taken over by the Soviet Union at the end of World War Two is also claimed byJapan.

Russias last round of Kuril drills took place in November last year.

It comes as America has vowed a "resolute and massive" response to a Russian invasion of Ukraine after reports it could happen on Wednesday.

The warning from U.S Secretary of State Anthony Blinken come during a phone call with his Russian counterpart, in the wake of fears an invasion is imminent.

US embassy staff have now been told to evacuate Ukraine as the 6000 Brits living there were also urged to leave immediately amid growing fears a Russian attack would shut down airspace.

New intelligence now suggests Russia will invade Ukraine this Wednesday, February 16, according to German newspaper Der Spiegel.

Information received by the Secret Service, CIA and other intelligence services has even gone as far to outline the routes that individual Russian units will take, along with the roles they will play, it reports.

Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin are set to discuss the crisis today but ahead of that Blinken spoke to Sergei Lavrov.

"I spoke with Foreign Minister Lavrov today to urge a diplomatic resolution to Russias unprovoked military build-up around Ukraine," Blinken tweet afterwards.

"I reiterated that further Russian aggression would be met with a resolute, massive, and united Transatlantic response."

But in response Lavrov accused the United States of seeking to provoke a conflict in Ukraine, during a call with his US counterpart Antony Blinken.

Their talks come after U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said Washington believes Putin could strike any day.

It was previously widely believed Russia would not attack before the end of the Winter Olympics on February 20 but the latest intelligence reports have cast doubt on that.

The imminent threat follows weeks of growing tension as Vladimir Putins build-up of troops and tanks continue to threaten Ukraine.

Sullivan echoed President Biden's call for "all American citizens who remain in Ukraine to depart immediately".

"We want to be crystal clear on this point. Any American in Ukraine should leave as soon as possible and in any event in the next 24 to 48 hours.

"The risk is now high enough and the threat is now immediate enough that this is what prudence demands.

"If you stay you are assuming risk, with no guarantee that there will be any other opportunity to leave and there is no prospect of a U.S. military evacuation in the event of a Russian invasion."

Last night, Brits were warned to leave Ukraine immediately as the imminent threat of war loomed.

Mr Sullivan said an attack would likely begin with aerial bombing and missile strikes, which would shut down transportation by air, rail, and roads.

His fears were echoed by MP Tobias Ellwood, chair of the House of Commons Defence Select Committee, who also said war was "inevitable".

Russia has been deploying military troops to the Ukraine border as Nato begins beefing up its own forces in the area.

Pentagon said it would send 3,000 combat troops from Fort Bragg,North Carolina, to Poland to join 1,700 troops assembling there.

Afterconflict Turns the Cold War Hot With the Triggering of WW3 – Gamers Decide

Posted: February 7, 2022 at 7:15 am

The fear that the cold war would turn hot and potentially become World War 3 was an ever-present shadow in the lives of many people during the Cold War era. The question of what would have happened exactly if the war had turned hot has been examined in various forms.

Use a range of different Cold War-era weapons. Image by 'Afterconflict.'

Afterconflict pits the forces of the Warsaw Pact and NATO against each other in a bitter fight for survival towards the end of the Third World War, which was ignited when the tensions between the Soviet Union and the United States of America reached a breaking point and caused all hell to break loose.

There are a number of key elements to Afterconflict. These include:

Players can choose from a number of factions to play within NATO and the Warsaw Pact, including the United States, East Germany, and Yugoslavia among others.

Using the all-time classic, the AK-47. Image by 'Afterconflict.'

Each faction has equipment and weapons unique to their faction, such as the M16 assault rifle for the US and the AK-47 in the Eastern European factions. Equipment and weapons will become more used and potentially less functional over time, depending on the severity of the wear and tear.

Players must coordinate the attacks well to ensure strategic and military supremacy in their battles and ultimately in the war. They will be able to play in a variety of locations in Europe, with each map being large enough to allow free maneuvering and strategic gameplay.

Afterconflict is developed by Afterconflict Development and is available on Steam.

World War 3: Heres what would happen if a nuclear bomb dropped on Los Angeles during WW3 – Portsmouth News

Posted: February 3, 2022 at 4:03 pm

It was announced that it would be remaining at 100 seconds to midnight for 2022.

This is the closest to midnight the clock has ever been.

The countdown - a metaphor for global collapse - took into account dangerous threats posed by nuclear weapons, climate change, disruptive technologies and COVID-19.

While nuclear war remains extremely unlikely it could have a devastating impact.

Previously The News revealed that Portsmouth was one of the key Russian targets during the cold war along with many other cities across this country.

But what about targets in America could WW3 see Washington D.C. and other major cities targeted by missiles.

Russia continues to amass troops on the border with Ukraine, while President Biden announced that U.S troops were on standby to be sent to Eastern Europe in the case of an invasion.

NUKEMAP calculates the predicted number of fatalities and injuries that would be caused - based on the size of the bomb dropped on a city for this story we have selected the option of the bomb exploding as an airblast.

So if the Little Boy 15 kiloton bomb, which was dropped by the US on the Japanese city of Hiroshima in WW2, fell on Los Angeles which is the second largest city in the United States - it is estimated that 100,040 people would die and another 150,700 would be injured.

The fireball would have a radius of 180m, the air blast radius - which would severely damage buildings would be 340m and the radiation radius where death rates would be between 50% and 90% - would be 1.2km.

However the Little Boy' hasnt been used since WW2, so if a 800kt Topol nuke currently the largest in the Russian arsenal was used on L.A. it would be much more devastating.

With an estimated 582,880 fatalities and an estimated 1,454,320 people injured.

Im a doomsday prepper and heres how you could survive nuke disaster as Ukraine-Russia tensions threaten W… – The US Sun

Posted: at 4:03 pm

A FORMER White House advisor-turned-doomsday prepper has shared tips on how to survive a nuclear disaster or any other world-ending event amid fears that a Russian invasion of Ukraine could spark WW3.

John Ramey, the founder of the popular how-to prepping website The Prepared, is urging Americans to start thinking rationally about the idea that, at any moment, society as we know it could completely collapse.

6

6

Such a societal implosion could be caused by nuclear war, a catastrophic natural disaster, or even through the proliferation of AI technology, Ramey warned in an interview with The Sun, insisting that there's no time like the present to start planning for the end of the world.

"Not only are the threats [against our civilization] changing, but they're converging in a way our world has never faced before," he said.

"So on top of all the historically-normal stuff like wars, natural disasters, car accidents, and inequality, we're now dealing with a dying planet and machines that can sincerely replace humans."

Ramey, who was an innovation adviser to the Obama White House, said he has been a prepper for the majority of his adult life, citing 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina as "early impactful events" on his beliefs.

But the longtime Silicon Valley entrepreneur said for a number of years he was reluctant to out himself as such because of the stigmas and stereotypes surrounding the survivalist movement.

In years gone by, preppers have been routinely stereotyped as paranoid, gun-toting, right-wing older white men but in recent times prepping has become increasingly more mainstream, appealing to people from all walks of life.

For instance, in 2013, around 3.7 million Americans self-identified themselves as survivalists. Fast forward to 2021, and that number is estimated to be as high as anywhere between 10-20 million.

Ramey has also experienced the apparent surge in interest firsthand. Since the coronavirus pandemic hit in March 2020, his website The Prepared, which he set up in 2018, has seen a 25x growth.

Explaining the apparent boom in interest, Ramey said: "It's tipped into the mainstream because enough 'normal' people have seen what the world is like, such as going through Trumpism, ever-worsening natural disasters, coronavirus and all the problems from climate change - and all of the other data points show we're headed in bad directions.

"All of these fears are rational. And the reward for prepping is proven," he added.

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of pain - so it's naturally going to spread."

Ramey, who identifies himself as one of the first outed preppers in Silicone Valley, said he thought it was important to put himself "out there" because "it felt like there was a wall that needed to be broken through" in the public's perception of preppers.

"So many people like me have been prepping for a long time but felt the need to be closeted about it," he said.

"It didn't take long after people like me spoke up for those walls to come down."

Prepping certainly isn't a new phenomenon and its origins can be traced back as far as the 1930s in the UK and the United States, where perceived threats included government policies during the Great Depression, threats of nuclear warfare after World War II, and fears of imminent social and economic collapse.

Early members of the survivalist movement pointed to the Great Depression and the stock market crash of 1929 as examples of the need to be prepared for anything.

Several decades on, the threats facing our society may have changed but they remain equally as, if not more pressing, according to Ramey.

When asked what he believes the most likely cause of a societal collapse would be in the modern age, Ramey said it would likely be a combination of "the climate crisis causing things like mass migration, regional economic collapse, and fighting over scarce resources, combined with mass economic inequality and the failure of institutions (eg. democracy) leading to a conflict created by Russia, China, and other adversaries.

"Maybe you sprinkle a pandemic on top of that, too," he added.

Contrary to the stereotypes surrounding the survivalist movement, Ramey said he isn't preparing for a zombie apocalypse and has no plans to hide in a bunker beneath the ground in the event of a nuclear event.

The former tech CEO said he, and other modern preppers like him, "don't focus on scenarios that aren't worth living in, to begin with."

"No one wants to be the last person on earth, down in their bunker patting themselves on the back," he said.

"Instead, we think the world is going to get much harder in the next few decades than it was in the last few. So the question is, 'How do we come out of it?'"

To begin preparing for a disaster, Ramey urges any prospective preppers to "ignore the extreme stuff like nuclear bunkers" and start small, focusing on what their biggest risks are, which for most people, he says, is personal health and finances.

"Once those bases are covered, such as an emergency fund with three months worth of expenses, you must look to ensure you're able to survive in your home without any outside utilities or help for at least two weeks."

From there, Ramey suggests building a "bug-out bag" - a bag packed with survival supplies such as food, water, medications, radios, and flashlights - in the event of an emergency that requires rapid evacuation.

Ramey says all responsible members of society should begin prepping in some capacity, likening preparing for an emergency to buying homeowner's insurance or car insurance.

6

6

Where many Americans buy home insurance in the event their home is burned down in a fire, or buy car insurance in the event of a crash, Ramey says the same logic should be applied to preparing for potential catastrophes, likening do so to keeping a "rainy day fund."

Dr. Alex Bitterman, an architecture professor at Alfred State College in New York who studies how extreme events impact communities, agrees.

"There are two things that are very important, he told Downtown Magazine last year. The Boy Scouts of America, their motto was always 'Be prepared.' They've been teaching young people to be prepared for anything.

"That's a very resonant piece of our culture. Prepping is part of being an American part of being able to provide for ourselves. We take great pride in being a self-sustaining nation."

Bitterman added: "The other thing, as we magnify the more extreme events from terrorism to hurricanes to wildfires to storms and flooding, snowstorms, and extreme heat and cold, the way we build in this country is for a very stable climate not for these massive fluxes."

Essentially, what Ramey and Bitterman are saying is that individuals must prepare themselves for emergencies, particularly natural disasters, as the systems in place to protect society are ultimately ill-equipped to do so on a large scale.

According to Ramey, prepping is about "flattening the curve", meaning the more self-reliant an individual can become, the less likely they are to seek help, such as treatment in a hospital, and therefore the more the system will be able to cope with.

He shares a wealth of survival tips and reviews of survivalist products on The Prepared for "rational preppers" - or people who like to like to calculate risk and see prepping as a bit of a game.

Explaining the website's mission, Ramey said: "The Prepared teaches people how to get ready for life's inevitable disruptions, whether it's a car accident or job loss to bigger events like disasters and pandemics.

"We research and review gear, and write guides to walk you through prepping and learn skills like first aid. It's also the largest community of mainstream preppers people from all walks of life working on building the community and knowledge base, rather than bickering about culture-war junk."

Ramey's call to action comes as an aggressive show of Russian force on the eastern border of Ukraine has sparked concern among western nations in recent weeks that an invasion may be imminent - potentially leading to a multi-nation conflict.

Russia has already massed around 100,000 troops near Ukraine and the State Department ordered the families of all personnel at the US embassy in Kyiv to leave the country.

The USS Harry S. Truman is now under Nato's control for the first time since the end of the Cold War, while around 8,500 US forces have been put on "heightened preparedness" as tensions escalate.

Isabel Sawkins, a research fellow at the Henry Jackson Society, thinks any potential conflict in Eastern Europe would not be confined to its borders.

She told The Sun: The crisis has the potential to extend its tentacles into all corners of the globe.

Sawkins warned thatChinesepresident Xi will be watching the Ukrainian crisis unfold.

The expert added: If Russia invades Ukraine, Xi will be emboldened to invade Taiwan. The idea of being part of one nation is similar Russia and Ukraine, and China andTaiwan.

Reports say that the US could send up to 50,000 troops to Eastern Europe if theUkrainiancrisis continues to deteriorate.

But, Biden is apparently reluctant to deploy forces to Ukraine as he doesnt want to enter into another conflict months following the Afghanistan crisis, according to theNew York Times.

The White House has yet to make a decision about whether to deploy forces to Ukraine.

Sawkins believes this week is crucial as the crisis continues to heat up, with Washington expected to issue a response to Moscow's aggression in days.

She called on the West to present a united front, urging nations must make it clear that Russia has to back down.

She said: There is no united effort.Putinknows that hes managed to dig these sorts of crevasses to basically isolate certain parts of the West."

Sawkins warned that if the West cannot unite over its strategy then aRussian invasion is inevitable.

William and Kate have panic room and tunnels at home in fear of WW3 biological warfare – Daily Star

Posted: at 4:03 pm

Prince William and Kate Middleton have installed a panic room and secret tunnels at their Kensington Palace home in order to protect their family from biological warfare.

The panic room also reportedly includes an air filtration system, along with an escape tunnel, Global Citizen reports.

According to reports, when William was younger, he along with his brother Harry and their Diana mother would use the secret tunnel to sneak out of the Palace and go to McDonalds.

Seeing as the Duke of Cambridge is second in line to the throne only behind his father Charles and his son Prince George is third in line after him, their security is of utmost importance.

The Cambridges arent the only ones with a panic room, however, with the Queen leading the way with two panic rooms, both at Windsor Castle and at Buckingham Palace.

The rooms were installed over 15 years ago and are encased in 18ins thick, bullet-resistant, fire-retardant steel walls.

They are designed to withstand poison gas, bombs or terrorist attacks and are equipped with secure communications, beds, washing equipment, and enough food and water to last for at least a week.

To stay up to date with all the latest news, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here.

Similarly, first in line to the throne, Prince Charles, also has a secret room at Highgrove House.

It features an iron room the size of a shipping container that can be used by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in the unlikely event that someone breaches through their security.

According to some security experts, the secret steel panic room at Highgrove House is so strong that if the property was targeted in an airstrike or terrorist attack, the royals inside would survive.

World War 3: HereS what would happen if a nuclear bomb was dropped on London in event of WW3 – Portsmouth News

Posted: January 19, 2022 at 10:54 am

Britain has provided further self-defence weapons and training to Ukraine amid concerns over a possible Russian invasion.

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said light anti-armour defensive weapons systems would be supplied to Ukraine, with a small number of UK personnel travelling to the country to provide training.

The announcement came after he warned tens of thousands of Russian troops are positioned next to the Ukrainian border, explaining the deployment is not routine and they are equipped with tanks, armoured fighting vehicles, rocket artillery and short-range ballistic missiles.

He told MPs there is real cause of concern over the scale of the force being assembled by the Kremlin, supported by Russian air and maritime forces.

The News previouslyrevealed that Portsmouth was one of the key Russian targets during the cold war along with many other cities across the country.

NUKEMAP calculates the predicted number of fatalities and injuries that would be caused - based on the size of a the bomb dropped on the city for this story we have selected the option of the bomb exploding as an airblast.

So if the Little Boy 15 kiloton bomb, which was dropped by the US on the Japanese city of Hiroshima in WW2, fell on the City of Westminster of London it is estimated that 76,460 would be killed and 245,960 injured.

The fireball would have a radius of 180m, the air blast radius - which would severely damage buildings would be 340m and the radiation radius where death rates would be between 50% and 90% - would be 1.2km.

However the Little Boy' hasnt been used since WW2, so if a 350kt W-78 nuke currently the largest option on NUKEMAP was used on London it would be much more devastating.

With an estimated 565,980 people being killed and 1,629,370 injured if it fell on the City of Westminister

The fireball radius would be 0.63km, the air blast radius - which would severely damage buildings would be 4.95km, the thermal radiation radius causing third degree burns, scaring, disablement, and can require amputation - would be 7.67km.

All of this is hypothetical and the risk of a nuclear bomb falling on London or anywhere in the World is extremely low.

WW3 fears over Russias plot to justify Ukraine invasion as expert warns escalating tensions may spark ma… – The US Sun

Posted: January 17, 2022 at 8:08 am

RUSSIA'S reported plot to justify a Ukraine invasion has sparked World War 3 fears as an expert warns escalating tensions may trigger a major conflict.

Concerns are mounting after a US official reportedly revealed how intelligence suggests Russia has prepositioned a group of operatives to conduct a false-flag operation ineastern Ukraine in an attempt to create a reason to invade.

6

6

6

Taras Kuzio, an associate research fellow at Henry Jackson Society, told The Sun US that a "major war" may erupt and said the "crisis is likely to escalate before it de-escalates."

It comes as a US official told CNN that intelligence teams found evidence that the operatives are trained in urban warfare and in using explosives to carry out a disguised attack against Russia's own forces.

The claims were echoed by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense on Friday, saying Russian special services are preparing provocations against their own forces in an attempt to frame Ukraine.

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan hinted at the report during a briefing on Thursday.

"Our intelligence community has developed information, which has now been downgraded, that Russia is laying the groundwork to have the option of fabricating the pretext for an invasion," Sullivan said.

"We saw this playbook in 2014. They are preparing this playbook again, and we will have, the administration will have, further details on what we see as this potential laying of the pretext to share with the press over the course of the next 24 hours."

On Friday, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry told CNN that "the military units of the aggressor country and its satellites receive orders to prepare for such provocations."

Russian have continued to claim they will not attack Ukraine unless NATO guarantees it will never let Kiev join the US-led alliance.

Kuzio told The US Sun: "The last thing that NATO wants is for a war to spill over into member states. They want it to remain constrained in Ukraine."

He added that Putin has an obsession" with Ukraine and he will always be fixated on the country.

"Putin is president for life he cant leave office. Thats the way their system is. He knows that he cant trust the people around him theres no honor amongst thieves," Kuzio said.

He has an obsession with Ukraine he cant rebuild his empire without Ukraine. So he will always be fixated. Theres frustration and anger with the West, and he thinks its the West preventing Ukraine from coming back to Russia.

He always sees his war against Ukraine as part of his general war with the West. He doesnt separate them at all.

"You will have crises periodically throughout Putins presidency. When you have this kind of crisis, theres always a danger that things can escalate," he added.

Kuzio said that if a major war erupts - it could "feel like the 1980s again".

It depends on what Russia does in Ukraine. If it escalates into a full, major war, then whats going to happen is the Americans, Brits, Canadians are going to supply Ukraine with very good military equipment and itll be like the 1980s again," the expert said.

Some of that equipment like stingers will kill Russians. It will bring down Russian helicopters."
