The 19-year-old told police that he and his sister saw an advert on social media in February calling on people with good mathematics skills to apply for a medical school in Johannesburg said Brigadier Leonard Hlathi.
After a few contacts with the school owner an offer was made to arrange bus tickets for both of them from Kroonstad to Johannesburg as they could not afford to pay for themselves said Hlathi.
The man pretended to be a good Samaritan as he even deposited some money for food along the way.
The two travelled to Johannesburg where they were picked up at Park Station in a black BMW X6 and taken to a home.
[At the house] they found other girls and boys [around] 24 in total said Hlathi.
They were suddenly injected with an unknown chemical raped and assaulted he added.
The 19-year-old man woke up in a Bushbuckridge hospital in Mpumalanga on Monday.
He reportedly told police that they were removed from the house on June 7.
He cannot recall what happened from there.
Police said the man had been found dumped next to a road in Bushbuckridge.
When contacted their aunt reported that she received a call from the twin sister [on Monday] telling her that she is on a flight to Lagos Nigeria Hlathi added.
The Hawks have been roped into the police investigation which includes a case of kidnapping rape and common assault.

Police nab sick mess of a human behind the ‘Blue Whale’ suicide game – New York Post
Posted: June 12, 2017 at 7:41 pm
The administrator of the sick Blue Whale suicide game has been traced by police back to a Moscow postman. And he allegedly had more than 30 schoolgirls under his spell.
Ilya Sidorov, 26, reportedly has confessed to conceiving and creating thesocial media game that gave youths a series of increasingly risky dares ending in their own suicides.
Police questioned Sidorov over allegedly instructing a 13-year-old girl in the remote village of Yetkul to jump under a passenger train.
The girl had been taken to a hospital with cuts from an attempted suicide. Previously, he allegedly tasked her withoutlining a blue whale on her arm and inflicting self-harm.
Sidorov allegedly broke down under interrogation, admitting to administrating a broader online Blue Whale challenge.
Sidorov has since been detained and extradited to Chelyabinsk in the Urals, where he faces charges relating to inciting the schoolgirls death.
A police spokeswoman said mobile phones, a tablet computer and several SIM cards have been seized as evidence.
The suspect clarified that he is the administrator of a so-called suicide group that had 32 members, all of them underage, the spokeswoman said. He assigned them tasks aimed at injuring themselves in order to incite suicide.
But Sidorov is not the only suicide-game administrator to have been arrested.
Philipp Budeikin, 21, is also being held by Russian police, charged with coaxing up to 16 schoolgirls to kill themselves.
The suicide game got its name from the way whales appear to beach themselves deliberately.
Its popularity has spread beyond the bounds of Russia, with related suicide attempts being reported in Spain, Portugal, France and Britain.

Further remains have been found by garda carrying out searches in Co Wicklow afterbody parts were discovered near Enniskerry over the weekend.
A torso was found by walkers on the Military Road near Enniskerry at around 7.45pm on Saturday evening.
It was removed to the Mater Hospital for X-ray before being brought to the city morgue.
A second discovery, believed to be part of a torso includinginternal organs, was made near Glennmacnass, close to a waterfall, around 20km away from the site of the original discovery.
This evening two further discoveries were made, firstlyby the Garda Underwater Unitnear Glennmacnass waterfall.
Defence Forces personnel then also discovered additional remains at Lough Brea Lower on Military Road.
Garda were satisfied the first two sets of remains found are from the same victim.
They say the victim is a male, around 25, who died violently in the past week.
Divisional search teams and two Defence Forces platoons are searching a 30km area.
More troops and gardai are expected to join the search tomorrow.
A post-mortem examination was carried out today but garda saidthe victim has not yet been identified.
The locations have been sealed off as crime scenes.
The roads from Enniskerry to Glencree, from Glencree south to the Sally Gap, and from the Sally Gap to Laragh, have been closed to facilitate the search.
The post-mortem examination was carried out at the Dublin city morgue by the Deputy State Pathologist today to establish the age, race, and gender of the victim.
Garda are treating the case as murder, with dismemberment and disbursement of the body parts.
They are examining missing persons files and awaiting DNA results from the post mortem.
They believe the remains were left in the area in the past week.
Among the lines of inquiry in this case are a personal motive or the involvement of gang members.

If you’ve noticed many seeming human traits in animals, you’ll want to read this – Washington Post

Picture this scenario: You and a co-worker are given a task to complete. The co-worker occasionally pretends to do something but leaves you with all of the drudgery.
Now imagine that your co-worker weighs several thousand pounds and has a trunk.
Thats what happened to an Asian elephant in an experiment looking at social intelligence among animals, which researchers are learning is far more complex than previously thought. In addition to deception like that lazy elephant there are fascinating examples of cooperation.
For instance, some dolphin moms in Australia teach their daughters to don a sea sponge on their snouts, allowing them to search the seafloor for fish without hurting their noses. You can read more about it in Scientific Americans Secret Lives of Animals, a special collectors edition available on newsstands until July 10.
Many of the articles highlight just how much humans have in common with other creatures. One praises the architectural genius of termites, which build towering mounds that circulate air and offer protection from enemies. Another explains how wasps can recognize individual faces. Theres an examination of same-sex couplings in the animal kingdom, which details several of the reasons these relationships can evolve.
Then theres the tear-jerker When Animals Mourn by Barbara J. King, a professor of anthropology at the College of William & Mary. It includes an anecdote about a giraffe giving birth to an infant with a deformed foot. The mom stays close to the baby, even though that means not foraging with her herd and potentially putting her life at risk. When the young giraffe dies after four weeks, the mom is joined by 16 other females, which all help protect the body from predators.
Pet owners may want to flip directly to The World According to Dogs, a collection of scientific findings about mans best friend. The most useful tidbit: If a dog wont play with you, youre probably just doing it wrong. Patting the floor, picking up a dog, smooching it those are all ineffective techniques, according to a 2001 study. Instead, try a different strategy, suggests writer Julie Hecht: The researchers found that giving chase and running away and lunging forward were associated with play 100percent of the time.
And dont miss your chance to learn about the star-nosed mole, which boasts a schnozzle ringed by 22 fleshy appendages that are usually a blur of motion, writes Kenneth C. Catania of Vanderbilt University. Although the pink blob on its face allows the mole to find and eat five separate prey items in a single second, humans can be glad this feature is one thing we dont share with animals.

Scientists find human tooth inside HL Hunley submarine during cleanup – Charleston Post Courier
Posted: at 6:42 pm
If you want to know how the cleanup of the Confederate submarine H.L. Hunley is going, think oven cleaner.
In the simplest form of chemistry explanation, the sub is being subjected to a mixture of sodium hydroxide and a mild electrical current.
The effect is that, when combined, it gradually helps to soften some of the concrete-hard buildup of sand, mud and shells that accumulated inside the sub during the 140 years it was buried off Sullivan's Island so that it can be removed later.
"The equivalent would be oven cleaner," said Michael Scafuri, lead archaeologist, pointing to the caustic nature of the reaction.
Another find officials reported Wednesday: A human tooth.
While most of the remains of the eight men who sailed on the sub's final Feb. 17, 1864, mission were removed and ceremonially buried at Magnolia Cemetery in 2004, a tooth was recently discovered stuck in the concretion at crank handle position Number 3.
It is believed that's where crewman Frank Collins sat.
Scafuri said the tooth loss was "post mortem," meaning that long after the sinking, the tooth came loose during the decomposition process and stuck to the crank handle where it corroded with the iron.
Project restoration members gave a media update showing where the restoration project is so far some 17 years after the Civil War vessel was raised from the waters and taken to Clemson University's Warren Lasch Conservation Center in North Charleston.
While the sub's exterior is mostly cleaned bare and smooth, the upper level of the interior still has scabs of concretion. The crank shaft the crew used to hand power the vessel is also clean, but scientist report finding cloth remnants and loose metal sleeves at some of the crank positions.
The thought is these add-ons helped reduce the likelihood of blisters or chaffed hands.
What's still not known is if the team will truly be able to determine what caused the 40-foot-long by 3-foot-wide sub to be lost after ramming its explosive black powder charge into the Union blockade ship Housatonic, sinking her in a massive explosion.
The sub never returned to port after the attack that night, seemingly lost until a dive team funded by best-selling author Clive Cussler found her in 1995 buried under 3 feet of sand roughly 1,000 feet away from the wreck of the Housatonic.
Conclusively answering the mystery of what caused the sinking remains elusive for now.
"To be honest and upfront about it, we will always have an element of uncertainty because until we invent a time machine we're never going to know exactly what happened," Scafuri said.
It could be a series of complicated events, ranging from human error to "something obvious" or something not considered yet, he said.
"Everything is on the table within reason," Scafuri said.
The cleanup work, which is often painstakingly slow, will continue with an undetermined finish time.
Scafuri said the appearance today, however, means the sub is presented in a more clean and clearer fashion than from the day it was recovered in 2000.
"It looks like a submarine now, as opposed to a corroded artifact," he said. "Basically it looks like a submarine now more than ever."

Megan Leavey is a canine-human love story – The Denver Post
Posted: June 9, 2017 at 12:48 pm
By Mark Jenkins, Special To The Washington Post
The oddest thing about Megan Leavey is its title. After all, Shakespeare never titled his great romances simply Juliet or Antony.
Admittedly, Megan (made both sympathetic and resolute by Kate Mara) is on-screen a lot more than her paramour: a German shepherd employed by the military to sniff out explosives. But viewers of this fact-based weepie are likely to prefer the emotionally versatile Rex (impersonated mostly by Varco). Hes gruff with strangers but soon reveals his puppy-dog eyes.
The two characters are, of course, made for each other. Surly and solitary, Megan is feuding with her mother and stepfather (Edie Falco and Will Patton) when she impulsively decides to enlist in the Marines. That propels her toward Rex, the bomb-sniffer least likely to be voted Mr. Canine Congeniality. The two become partners only after Rex has violently sidelined his previous handler.
Once Megan and Rex bond, however, the pooch becomes gentle and protective. He doesnt even get jealous when Megan develops feelings of a different sort for a biped: fellow dog handler Matt Morales (Ramon Rodriguez). Most important, Rex keeps his cool after he and Megan start serving as one of the first female-led explosive-seeking teams among U.S. troops in Iraq.
The context for the military conflict is quickly sketched by a scene in which then-Secretary of State Colin Powells war-justifying 2003 speech to the United Nations plays on a TV. But the subject is never raised again. Megan, a New Yorker, is apparently too busy rooting for the Yankees to ponder the wisdom of the invasion by the United States, even after it blows up in her face literally.
In and around the city of Ramadi, Rexs nose locates bombs and guns, leading Megan and her cohorts through numerous scrapes. The movie isnt exactly The Hurt Locker, but it does convey a frantic sense of the battle experience. There are even sequences shot from Rexs height to suggest a dogs-eye view of war.
When Megan and Rexs luck goes cold, both are wounded, psychically as well as physically. She gets a Purple Heart and a discharge; he gets sent to Afghanistan. Megans bid to bring Rex home with her is overruled by a ferretlike Marine veterinarian (Geraldine James), who decides that hes too dangerous, a decision thats enforced by Megans tough-but-fair sergeant (Common).
Back in civilian life, a mopey Megan regains her warrior spirit only when her dad (Bradley Whitford) encourages her to go public with her campaign to win custody of Rex.
Clearly pitched to animal lovers, Megan Leavey marks the narrative debut of documentarian Gabriela Cowperthwaite, whose 2013 Blackfish about the treatment of captive orcas at marine parks was actually more harrowing. This movie is rarely more than merely competent, but it should stir lovers of justice as well as dog fanciers. If theres anything more heartwarming than a loyal animal companion, its teaching an impersonal bureaucracy to roll over and fetch.

The post reads as follows:
At tonights banquet, a detective from MPD spoke and she told us that Mayfair Mall and Bayshore Town Center are very popular spots for human trafficking. Girls as young as 12 are being snatched up and sold into prostitution rings. I thought this information is worth sharing. So be careful letting your girls go out alone and talk to them about this. Also, if you shop in or frequent these areas keep your eyes open, you could make a huge difference.
