A "non-violent" protest was planned, and we were advised to cancel. SO many activists wanted to interfere with our screening. Our intention was to show the movie and let people make their own minds up without any interference, but these activists wouldn #39;t allow it. They wanted debates, and parades etc. I guess the TRUTH threatened their livelihoods. By making the news, we have actually promoted this great movie even more than a simple screening. So thank you to all those activists who planned to stop it. We are doing a twelve hour sponsored freedom read-a-thon on Saturday 12th January in support of press freedom and freedom of speech . A Boy is angry because his favorite Harry Potter Books have been banned. He decides to take action by organizing the Wizards Against Censorship(WAC) to smuggle the banned books back into the library. This Film is the blog that Jeremy(the leader) made during his ordeal. He faces challenges like angry librarians but in the end he finishes his book. I had a limited amount of resources for this project. I was watching Netflix for a good idea for a cheap project to do for this film. I came Upon Doctor Horrible #39;s Sing Along Blog. It inspired me to think about making a similar project but with the theme of the scholarship. I think I did a good job with the allotted time, resources ,and my creative thinking.
