Ron Paul says Hillary Clinton would be a mediocre president and would likely bring about little substantive change.

In a Thursday evening interview, host Larry King asked the former Republican Texas congressman and three-time presidential candidate what kind of president Clinton would be.

I would think shed be pretty average, pretty mediocre, pretty much for war, pretty much for welfare-ism, pretty much for deficits, pretty supportive of the Federal Reserve and loving the military-industrial complex, Paul said in the conversation on Ora.tvs PoliticKING.

The libertarian darling hasgained a large following for his strong positions against the Federal Reserve, which he considers to be unconstitutional, and against U.S. foreign entanglements, particularly in the Middle East. Clinton has been criticized by some, on the left in particular, for being hawkish on foreign policy, including during her time as secretary of state during President Barack Obamas first term.

On Thursday, Paul said that Clintons stances on foreign and monetary policy make her similar to the recent inhabitants of the White House.

[T]hats what weve been having, so I dont think she would provide any change whatsoever in a positive sense, Paul said of a potential Clinton presidency.

He added that he thought Clinton would be a formidable presidential candidate, when King asked, saying that the media will love her. Clinton is widely considered to be the likely front-runner to win the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination if she chooses to run. Both Clinton and Paul ran unsuccessfully for their respective parties nominations in 2008.

His son, Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, is openly considering a 2016 bid, but Paul said during the interview that he wasnt strongly encouraging him to run.

Ron Paul says Hillary Clinton would be a pro-war, pro-military-industrial complex and pro-Federal Reserve president.

Paul, former Republican congressman and presidential candidate, made the remarks during an interview on Thursday night on a RT America program, Politicking with Larry King.

When King asked Paul what kind of president the former US secretary of state would be, he said, I would think shed be pretty average, pretty mediocre, pretty much for war, pretty much for welfare-ism, pretty much for deficits, pretty supportive of the Federal Reserve and loving the military-industrial complex.

Paul, 79, has maintained strong positions against the military-industrial complex and the Federal Reserve, each of which he considers responsible for many of the ills afflicting the United States.

He has also strongly opposed US wars on foreign lands, particularly American military engagements in the Middle East.

Paul said that Clintons stances on foreign and monetary policy make her similar to the recent US presidents.

Stephen Lendman, a writer, peace activist and radio show host, told Press TV in August that Clinton, the 66-year-old presumptive Democratic frontrunner for the 2016 presidential race, represents imperial arrogance, and she was a wretched secretary of state.

She represents -- in spades -- bulling, bluster and imperial arrogance. She was a wretched secretary of state. John Kerry is going way out of his way to match her blow for blow. But Hillary Clintons tenure was really, really an abomination, to say the least. She is extremely hawkish. She supports Americas wars that all are illegal, Lendman said.
