New Delhi: As his upcoming film 'Aur Devdas' -- a hard-hitting political take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's romantic-tragedy -- gears up for its release
soon, director Sudhir Mishra says he is not bothered by the recent censorship issues.
The filmmaker, who earlier faced the heat of the censor board for his movies like "Dharavi" (1992) and "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi" (2005), said censorship is an old issue. "I am not worried about censorship, it is my country and I will fight for what I want. It is not as if censorship is beginning now, everybody is thinking it is happening now but we have problems all the time and you have a way of handling
it," Sudhir told PTI.

Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) locked horns with Bollywood over its recent decisions including removal of the word 'lesbian' from 'Dum Laga ke Haisha' followed by denying the primary clearance to Hollywood erotic romance
'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
The board also delayed the release of Anushka Sharma's "NH10" by objecting to certain scenes in it. The film industry has also been battling with the new
list of 28 banned cuss words issued by CBFC. Mishra along with other prominent Bollywood celebrities like Aamir Khan and Deepika Padukone met Minister of State for
I&B Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore to raise their concerns over the censorship.

CEI head urges reaction against corruption
(ANSA) - Rome, March 23 - Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, head of the powerful Italian Bishops Conference (CEI), said Monday that gender education could lead to the creation of "transhuman" beings. But Italian parents have the "freedom of education for their children," which is permitted not as a "favour" but instead is a "fundamental right". Meanwhile, he told the CEI's ruling council that honest people "can and must react against corruption" after the latest in a long line of graft scandals. Corruption, the cardinal said, is "a very grave offence for the poor and the honest. That is intolerable". As well, Bagnasco warned that Europe must consider why its citizens are joining Islamic State (ISIS) extremist death squads. The problem is not because of unemployment but due to a culture at home that is found to be "empty of its own spiritual, moral, anthropological" guidelines, said Bagnasco.

In a profile of Jeffrey Deitch published last year in New York, Massimiliano Gioni, the director of the New Museum, weighed in on a exhibiton Mr. Deitch curated in the 1990s called Post-Human by remarking, of Mr. Deitch, I think he has played the role of a post-human character himself. Perhaps well get an elaboration on that one when Mr. Gioni and Mr. Deitch meet onstage at the New York Public Library. Or, perhaps Mr. Deitch will use the opportunity to announce the new location for Deitch Projects. Were all waiting, Jeffrey!

Meanwhile, over at Mr. Gionis museum, theres a party for members that features a performance by Us the Duo, two singers who, according to its website, are the first artists signed to a major label from Vine.
