The censorship of American Indian news in the United States is no accident. It is carefully orchestrated by acts of deception, distortion and omission. The bottom line is dollars, as revealed by following the money to the corporate core of the censors and contract spies in the media.

Regardless of the censorship, Native Americans continue to block fracking trucks and megaloads, continue to organize the fight against the Keystone XL pipeline and continue to defend the sacred.

Lakota Joye Braun was arrested on Wednesday as she attempted to block fracking trucks on Cheyenne River Sioux land in South Dakota. Regardless of a tribal law that prohibits the trucks, Braun spent the night in jail.

The struggle to protect the sacred continues in Arizona, where Akimel Oodham of Gila River Indian Community protested the planned South Mountain Loop 202 south of Phoenix.

"Gila River has said no three times. As recently as 2012 the Gila River Indian Community voted for the No Build option because Moadak (South Mountain) is a sacred site, said Andrew Pedro of Sacaton. No means No.

In Mexico during August, the Zapatistas in the stronghold of La Realidad, Chiapas, hosted the National Indigenous Congress.

SubGaleano, formerly known as Marcos, spoke at the concluding press conference, honoring those who have died since the struggle for dignity and autonomy began. During the gathering, SubGaleano and the Comandantes also sent a message of support to Palestine.

On the road to censorship?

Reacting to Moscows propaganda campaign, Lithuania has launched an aggressive counterattack. But he warns that The eager warriors of the information war have already harmed the quality of Lithuanian journalism

Lithuanias president Dalia Grybauskaite is playing a major role in the campaign, more than once urging Lithuanian journalists to step up to defend Lithuanias interest and unmask Russian deception. Her own actions have ranged from silly comments to a disquieting tendency to emulate the Kremlins spin-masters.

Another excerpt: A leading Internet portal has published an article of the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN claiming that the 2010 crash of the plane carrying Polish president Lech Kaczynski to Katyn was not an accident but a planned terrorist attack

Although the story about Kaczynski is a particularly egregious case of malicious misinformation, the Lithuanian media is publishing many questionable, poorly sourced stories.

Girnius warns that: Calls for censorship are gaining momentum. Plans are in the offing to ban Russian television channels from Lithuanian cable networks More ominously, the Ministry of Culture is sponsoring a working group that will reviews laws and regulation to ensure the right of citizens to objective information and ensure all age groups of safe, unharmful content.

Nikolay Barekov, leader of the Bulgaria without Censorship party, has said that the formation supports a no-confidence motion against the socialist-led government.

According to preliminary results of the European Parliament elections, the Bulgaria without Censorship party of the former TV host will send two MEPs to the European Parliament.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Barekov informed that he would propose that early elections be held on October 26.

He said that the party had sent a letter to Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev to invite him to a meeting on the topic of early elections.

Barekov, as cited by dnevnik.bg, explained the choice of a concrete date with the fact that the party needed time to organize an election campaign, adding that the topic of early elections required a serious approach.

He suggested that the new government had to start its term with its own budget.

Barekov claimed that a consensus candidate for the post of Prime Minister had to be found.

He pointed out that the date of October 26 would allow Bulgaria to spend a calm summer and then hold elections.

He said that the Bulgaria without Censorship party insisted on two key points in the talks on an interim government, including an anti-corruption bill they had prepared, and on social policy. Barekov also noted that a new Election Code had to be prepared.

He stressed that the independent MPs who supported the Bulgaria without Censorship party would back the no-confidence motion against the government of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski, adding that the formation was positive about the support of two MPs from the current Parliament and other MPs could follow suit.
