The trance-themed rave travels to Manchester, Glasgow and Sheffieldin March.

Evian Christ is taking his Trance Party on another tour of the UK next month with Laurel Halo, MssingNo and more.

Travelling to Manchester, Glasgow and Sheffield, the tour also features Total Freedom, Visionist and Actress, who appears as a special guest at the Sheffield gigonly.

Evian Christ will perform at each date, andwill be the sixth in a series of Trance Parties from the Warp artist since he launched now legendary raveback in 2013.

According to a tweet from Barcelonas Sonar Festival, Evian Christ will be releasing his long-awaited debut album on Warp later this year. Last year, he produced Danny Browns Pneumonia, which featured on the rappersAtrocity Exhibition album.

Evian Christ's Trance Party tours UK with Laurel Halo, MssingNo - FACT

A spur of the moment Facebook Live video stream on a Sunday morning has led to a new dance event in Maidstone.

When DJ Nathan Martin started playing trance tunes on his personal profile he was not prepared for hundreds of viewers and a raft of excited comments.

The 37-year-old, who was resident DJ at Banks Bar in Bank Street for 10 years and has played at world-famous club Ministry of Sound in London, said: The viewing numbers were going ridiculous and lots of people were commenting on how they missed trance.

Nathan, from Maidstone, approached Social Chill Bar in Week Street, where he hosts monthly night Debut, and decided to start a daytime event.

The first Trance, featuring former Ikon resident DJ Paul Johnson, Rascal Van Russ from Londons daytime Trance Sanctuary event, warm-up act Alex Faulkner, and Nathan, takes place from midday to 6pm on Saturday, February 18.

Wow oh wow! This is not a drill everybody! Two of the biggest names in trance music have come together to produce arguably the most well orchestrated collaborative project that Anjunabeats as a label has ever seen.Andrew Bayerand Ilan Bluestone have teamed up to create a track entitled Destiny which contains an alarming amount of simultaneouspower and bliss. The track seems to be a perfect 50/50 split between the styles of both producers, sparking an incredible fire within the track that allows foe the build ups and the breakdowns to grab you by the heart strings and take you on an emotional journey. With the two being announced as the headliners of the Anjunabeats North American Tour in a special back to back format, this song could be the precursor to what fans all over the continent will receive in their headlining sets. Something tells is this may not be the only collaboration they have ready for release, and hopefully attendees will be lucky enough to catch more from the duo over the course of their headlining slots. Andrew Bayer & Ilan Bluestone Drop Massive Heater: Trance Fans Rejoice - EDM Sauce

With the flood of producers returning to trance, will W&W be heading back to their roots under a new alias?

Its been a long time since W&W has been known for something directly involving trance, and their jump to big room house really turned many fans against them. Lets take it back really quick, for those of you who arent well versed in the saga that is W&W. Joining forces in 2007, they released multiple trance tracks over the years,including many collaborations with notable artists like Mark Sixma, Ben Gold, and Ummet Ozcan. In 2011, they even released an entire album,Impact, on Armada Music that was also well received. Fast forward to 2012, when they struck gold with hit tracks Lift Off! and Invasion. Of course, if youve followed A State Of Trance, youd know that Invasion was also the anthem for ASOT 550 too. But the words W&W and Trance were numbered.

As the tastes of the electronic music scene changed, so did W&W. They werent alone, for what its worth, as others fled right along with them. Names like Ummet Ozcan, Tritonal, and others jumped to more popular genres too.By 2013 they began pumping out big room house hits that still were getting dancefloors going but forcing many older fans to choose between accepting their new sound or leaving them behind entirely. To their credit, theyve gone on to see success in the big room market. Bigfoot, The Code, Rave After Rave, and more have all gone on to become hitsbut it still stings that they left the trance scene behind.

Yesterday, Ultra Music Festival released the second phase of their lineup. Included in that list were many namesand even some aliases too that I wasnt expecting to see. Alpha 9, the old alias of Arty led the charge, and I was excited to see Sander Van Doorn brings you Purple Haze too. Being an active social media enthusiast, I was messaged a link to a post from one of the Ultra groups on Facebook with an interesting theory unfolding. It was brought to my attention that on the lineup post on facebook, someone had asked the question Where is W&W? and Ultras Official Facebook commented, Look Closer ;). The comment from Ultra, which has since been deleted, sparked my interestand many others though. The masses began to check one by one, but it clearly wasnt there in plain sight. One name that wasnt ringing any bells as an actual artist or alias was thoughNWYR.

So away I went in my mission to figure out if perhaps this was some secret alias that an artist like W&W could use. I crosschecked all the names of other artists to a variety of sources just to make sure I wasnt missing something, yet still, nothing could be found. Thats when the digging began, I started scouring W&W socials for any hint or sign that this was the case. I could only really source a comment in which they stated Chill guys, got tons of new music coming!! Even for the Trance heads out there ;). So the search continued to look at figuring out who NWYR was and I found it to be more baffling than ever.

It clearly HAS to be someone using an alias, but who? The artist profile on Ultras own website is lacking in any information about the artist outside of the logo. I stumbled upon the Facebook, Twitter, and SoundCloud, all of which were fresh accounts. The Facebook Page provided the first hint at NEW YEAR, and the SoundCloud placed their location in the Netherlandscuriously where W&W calls home. Unfortunately, after this, I hit a wall and the information really stopped there. I can point out the fact that there are two heads to the dragon and W&W is a duo, too, but honestly, we can only guess at this point.

Could it be someone else? Sure. Could it have been an interns mistake on Facebook? Of course. Maybe well end up seeing the name W&W show up on the Phase 3 lineup in March, or have another artist squash these claims and step forward as NWYR, who knows. But until then, anyones guess is as good as mine, and Ill subscribe to the idea that it is W&W returning to trance under a different alias.

Originally listening to trance artists such as ATB, Armin Van Buuren and Paul Oakenfold, Grant has expanded his listening experience to include a full set of genres ranging from hardstyle to deep house and has been regularly attending both festivals and club events since 2010.

[Speculation] Are W&W Returning To Trance At Ultra Miami? | EDM ... - EDM Identity (blog)

So the return to glory trance is experiencing the past year is absolutely incredible. Some of the best artists who decided to leave the legendary genre for greener pastures are returning to the euphoric fan favorite to enjoy the new popularity. Most under new aliases. We could mention quite a few artists who have followed this trend but most recently people have been gossiping about W&W possibly jumping on the band wagon.

Ultra dropped phase 2 and people were freaking out about why W&W were not listed on the line up. Well Ultra helped us all out and responded to a fans concerned comment with look closer. So we did and we noticed NWYR (New Year?).

Now I know what you are thinking who the hell is NWYR. Well from Ultras not very subtle hint, and the easy to notice the two Ws in the new logo. I think it is safe to say that this is in fact W&W returning to Trance. Most people are super happy about this possibility but some pure trance artists have thrown some low key shade. Like Artic Moon who tweeted this out earlier today:

He was quick to mention that he wished his music got as much attention as the shade he threw but his message is clear, it is a bit disrespectful to jump on the bandwagon after abandoning it. As a Philadelphia Eagles fan I know the feeling all to well for the first 4 games of every NFL season until they start to suck again. We hope W&W will bring it and show all the doubters that they are ready to return to their former trance glory.

W&W Looks to be Returning to Trance for Ultra Miami Some Shade is Thrown - EDM Sauce

Recently, Gareth Emery released the music video for his new single with Standerwick and Haliene, Saving light. The video had a very powerful message and urges people to stand up against bullying and stand up against it. You can watch the video here :

The video received a mixed response. Many people could relate to it and it moved them. The loved the vocals and the fact that it stands for a cause.

A few days later, Gareth posted a picture in an attempt to encourage people to buy the track on beatport in order to make a trance track number one again.

This post received quite a bit of attention, positive enough to make the track reach the 2nd position on beatport, but it also received criticism from artists like Christopher Lawrence and John 00 Fleming who believe it is a gimmick for fame.

While John 00 Fleming was not really in favour of the whole stint, he was openly vocal about it and posted about the same

On the other hand, Christopher Lawrence stated his opinion regarding the same, though he too is not in favour of it.

A few people did stand up for Gareth. Marwen Tlili, the label head of Armada musics sub label The Bearded Man tried to explain the cause to them.

Electronic artists and producers often are shrouded in mystery. Some switch between multiple aliases, cover their face, and manage to stay anonymous for years and years into their career. However, every now and then an artist does the opposite, and breaks the 4th wall. They decide to connect with their fans on a vulnerable, personable level.

Days ago, Russian producer Arty did just that. He posted a long note on Facebook, describing his musical journey intimately, and his feelings around rising to stardom. The producer originally came to infamy in 2009 as Alpha 9, making flavorfultrance music. After retiring the alias 7 years ago, the DJ has gone on to produce big house and dance, with official remixes ofMoby, Porter Robinson,andLondon Grammer.

Looking back on this past year, he says that It was a year of re-discovering myself as an artist and as a person as well I [havent felt] myself so inspired and productive in a long time, and it was probably the first time I opened my eyes so wide I noticed how much my music was different from what Ive done in the past, and I felt like I had been neglecting my long-time fans and it didnt feel fair.

And so, Alpha 9 was re-born into 2017 with the luminous track The Night Is Ours. Long time fans of the musician will melt upon hearing the track. Its dreamy, introspective, uplifting, and rings in the essence of his trance roots. Even if youve never heard of him, the single is sure to inspire.

Imagine opening for acts like Akon, SnoopDogg, & Sean Kingston, sounds surreal isnt it? This is what Sanket Arjunwade boasts of, which makes him along with Sound Avatar the preacher for Bass, Trap & HipHop music in India.In a crowd of many, DJ SA has made a unique name for himself and has definitely taken this style of music to a different level in the country. On the personal side, he just got hitched and we at Trance Hub wish him a happy married life.

Zaeden :

At just 22 years of age, Sahil Sharma already has a track on Spinnin Recordings. Success came early to this lanky lad from Gurgaon, has he became the first Indian to feature of Hardwells podcast Hardwell on AirZaeden has already played at one of the biggest festivals in the world, Tomorrowland when he shared space with international superstar Borgeous. His fan-base is currently growing at an exponential rate while he drops his power thumping music at all major cities in the country. With a great future ahead, we are really curious on what lies next for him.

The list cannot be complete without some local flavour.Shrikant & Durgesh, are real-time trance lovers who during non playing hours are really amazing people to deal with. Having already opened for industry heavyweights Above & Beyond, they have been constantly on the scene with their uplifting & progressive sets on several radio shows or Doing opening duties for artists like Super8 & Tab & Ashley Wallbridge. We know what this appearance at Vh1 Supersonic means to them and wish them well for their set.

6 Indian Acts to watch out for at Vh1 Supersonic - Trance Hub (satire) (press release) (blog)

A pastor had to be called to pray for a group of Form Four pupils at Pumula High School in Bulawayo after they allegedly fell into a trance trying to save one of their classmates who had fits.

It is said the affected pupils, the majority of whom were girls, began acting as if they were possessed, some rolling their tongues. Bulawayo Acting Provincial Education director Mrs Ollicah Fikelephi Kaira confirmed the incident which happened last Friday.

I can confirm that an epileptic girl fell down as she tried to pick up her lip balm and thereafter other girls collapsed as well but the situation is now calm at the school. It has not happened again. Investigations show that the girl had a long standing record of epilepsy but probably other pupils who collapsed were disturbed because they had never witnessed an epileptic attack before, said Mrs Kaira.

She said about 10 girls were transported back home by the school as some of the guardians and parents were not reachable on their phones.

These children had been called for an off-session lesson by their teacher and it all happened in the shade as they were waiting for their teacher.

Pumula is one of our shining beacons, it has excelled over the years and won the Secretarys Bell award last year. This was just an unfortunate incident but we cannot conclude that they were demons as other people allege, said Mrs Kaira.

A source said a school pastor was invited to pray for pupils.

It was scary, said a pupil who cannot be named.

Armin Van Buuren revealed that A State Of Trance radio has a new home last week, and now the 800th episode of his much-loved radio show has officially landed via his new studio.

It's the first show to be broadcast from Armin's new digs in Amsterdam, with the trance legend describing the build as: "a new chapter in the history of A State Of Trance."

The show is also returning to its original, two-hour format, with hour one consisting of new tunes selected by Armin himself, whilst hour two is a constant mix from the Dutch DJ.

The show has been split into two parts on Spotify for easy listening, with ASOT 800: Part Two featuring tracks and remixes by the likes of Omnia, Estiva, Markus Schulz, Ben Gold and more.
