The Carolina Panthers head south for the winter to take on the Miami Dolphins. The Panthers are coming off a loss to the Washington Football Team even with Cam Newton making his return home to Carolina. Dont look now but the Dolphins are on a three-game win streak with their most recent being a 24-17 divisional win against the New York Jets.

Here, well take a look at our picks for best bets for the Panthers-Dolphins in Week 12 of the NFL season. Odds come via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Spread: CAR -2Point total: 41.5 Moneyline: CAR -130, MIA +110

Pick against the spread: MIA +2

The Dolphins' defense isnt great, but they are more susceptible to getting beaten by the pass than they are the run. The Panthers' offense looked better against the WFT in Week 11, but Newton threw for fewer than 200 yards. Sure, he had a long rushing touchdown in typical Newton fashion, but the team as a whole didnt come together. The Dolphins' offense is clicking at the right time even missing some of their best pass-catchers. Mike Gesicki could be a problem for the Panthers' defense and I think he is what gives Miami the edge.

Over/under: OVER 41.5

I know that I am not big on Cam Newton throwing the ball, but he still finds ways to get the ball into the endzone. Plus, he isnt the entire Panthers offense. Christian McCaffrey is still running around and is a problem for defenses. Even if the Panthers' defense rebounds this game, I think the OVER still gets hit.

Panthers vs. Dolphins predictions: Picks, best bets for Week 12 NFL matchup - DraftKings Nation

The NFL is wrapping up its Week 11 Sunday slate and Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football remain. In the meantime, weve got some early odds to get you ready for Week 12. The Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints will face off this coming week, with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET on Thanksgiving.

The Bills took a big L against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11 as they lost 41-15. The Saints didnt fare much better against the Philadelphia Eagles as they lost 40-29.

DraftKings Sportsbook posted opening odds for this matchup earlier this week. Heres a look at what the odds opened at and where they re-opened at the Bills-Saints Week 12 matchup.

In the week after the three games that the Bills lost previously this season, they responded with a win. Even though the Saints will theoretically have running back Alvin Kamara back, the rest of the offense has been shaky. The Bills gave up five total touchdowns to running back Jonathan Taylor, but they still have one of the best defenses in the NFL. On a short week, they will make the adjustments needed to stop the Saints' offense and reignite their own to cover.

Bills vs. Saints odds, Week 12: Opening betting lines, point spreads, early movement for Thanksgiving matchup - DraftKings Nation

With a win today, the Colts can claim a winning record for the first time this season. All it will take is beating the best statistical defense in the league, on the road. The Bills have lost games to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennesse Titans of the AFC South in their last four games. They have struggled to keep a healthy offensive line and managed only six points against the Jaguars in Week 9.

Of course, the reality is that the Bills have a high-powered offense and potentially the leagues best defense. Those characteristics dont necessarily create a reason for confidence that the Colts will get a victory. Its also true that Indianapolis beat Buffalo all over the field in the playoffs last season only to find a way to beat themselves with mistakes and penalties. So, who knows?

The Bills are favored by 7-points.

New Jersey sportsbooks took more than $1 billion in handle for the second straight month to set another round of state and US records.

Total handle was $1.303 billion, up 28.9% from the $1.011 billion that set the record in September. Sports betting revenue also hit a record $84.2 million for a 6.5% hold.

NJ sports betting operators paid a record $10.6 million in taxes for the month.

Octobers results are a big leap over last Octobers totals, which were all records at that point:

Its important to note this is not purely organic growth, however. Along with additional sportsbooks, October had five full Friday through Sunday weekends. That means five full Saturdays and Sundays to rack up handle on both college football betting and NFL betting.

Football accounted for nearly $500 million in completed event handle for the month, but bettor-friendly results helped drag hold down to just 2.4% on the sport:

A healthy piece of that $317 million bet on parlays was likely football betting as well. Completed parlay revenue accounted for 56.4% of reported revenue for the month.

As usual, the Meadowlands partnered with FanDuel Sportsbook, PointsBet and SuperBook led all licensees with $44.1 million in sports betting revenue.

Resorts Digital, which reports for its own brand as well as DraftKings Sportsbook and FOX Bet, ranked second with $15.9 million in revenue.

New Jerseys $1.3 billion in handle represents 38.9% of all reported US sports betting handle as of Nov. 17. Its $84.2 million in revenue is good for 43.5% of the reported revenue.

While Nevada will likely drop Pennsylvania sportsbooks from the second spot, no one is coming to contest NJ for that top spot this month or likely any month soon.

But things could look totally different for next Octobers results. The nine winners of online NY sports betting licenses are working right now to be the first to launch, which can basically happen as soon as a sportsbook is ready.

That does not mean New York will jump into the top spot, though that could happen eventually. How much of New Jerseys business drops off because it can finally stay in New York will determine if and how New Jersey falls in the ranks.

NFL Week 11 Picks: Sportsbook Wire's ML, ATS and OU predictions - USA TODAY Sportsbook Wire

As of this moment, individuals in Florida can place bets on sporting events from the comfort of their homes through the newly introduced Hard Rock Sportsbook mobile application. If West Flagler Associates, Ltd. (doing business as Magic City Casino) and Bonita-Fort Myers Corporation (doing business as Bonita Springs Poker Room) have their way, that mobile application will have a very short shelf life.

They are suing the Department of the Interior and Deb Haaland, in her official capacity as Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior, based on allegations that a Tribal-State Compact between Florida and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which led to the creation and distribution of the aforementioned mobile application, violates federal laws. The plaintiffs argue that the compact should never have been approved due to violations of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, and the Wire Act of 1961.

The crux of the plaintiffs case rests on an argument that the compact authorizes online sports betting that occurs outside of the Seminole Tribes Indian lands. The defendants do not dispute that the location of the bettor determines where the bet is placed. However, they contend that there has been no violation of the relevant federal laws by way of permitting individuals in Florida, outside of Seminole Tribe lands, to place wagers through their mobile phones.

In a November 10 filing, the defendants argue that when the compact was presented to Haaland, she was not given the option to authorize whether individuals in Florida could place wagers on sporting events when they are physically located outside of the Seminole Tribes lands. Instead, they claim that the state law ratifying the compact already accomplished that goal. Thus, Haaland was only tasked with approving or taking no action on the compact after the gaming activity was already deemed by the Seminole Tribe and by Florida to occur on Indian lands for regulatory purposes.

Basically, the Department of the Interior is claiming that it did not authorize persons in Florida to place wagers off of the Seminole Tribes lands but, instead, state law authorized it. It is essentially seeking to defer to the state, which has held that sports wagers placed off of the Seminole Tribes Indian lands are deemed to take place exclusively where those bets are received at the location of the servers or other devices used to conduct such wagering activity at a facility on Indian lands.

The defendants argument will win or die with the federal judge based on whether Florida and the Seminole Tribe are free to agree, for state law purposes, as well as for regulatory purposes under the compact, that the sports wagers are deemed to occur on the Seminole Tribes lands. The judge is expected to make a decision on whether to temporarily halt the compact and thus restrict action on the Hard Rock Sportsbook mobile application in Florida by November 15.

Judgment Day Is Coming For Hard Rock Sportsbook In Florida - Above the Law

After one month of the 2021-22 NBA season, the MVP race has begun to take shape. Preseason odds-on favorite Luka Doncic is now fourth in the running at +800 according to DraftKings Sportsbook, as three NBA champions have overtaken the Mavericks phenom.

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry leads the way at +275. He was +900 at the beginning of the season. Curry is averaging 28.4 points, 6.4 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game while maintaining his deadly efficiency from deep. The numbers might be down from his previous MVP campaigns but thats largely due to Golden States deep rotation. The Warriors are 11-2 early in the season and look like title contenders once again.

Durant (+475) has been brilliant even as the Nets had a rocky start with Kyrie Irving sidelined. Its hard to believe he had an Achilles injury a few seasons ago, as Durant is averaging 29.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. Hes not quite at 50-40-90 splits due to free throw shooting but Durant could end up being the best player on the leagues best team. Thats usually a good formula for success when it comes to lifting the MVP award.

The reigning Finals MVP is looking good early in the season as well. Giannis Antetokounmpo has had to keep the Bucks afloat amid some injuries and Khris Middleton being sidelined with COVID. The Greek Freak is averaging 26.6 points, 11.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game so far. The Bucks are 6-8 at the moment but should turn things around as their starters return. Watch out for Antetokounmpo as the season goes on. Hes +600 in MVP odds.

Big NBA card on Monday night, and some injury news is still keeping some spots up in the air for me. That said, Im on one side that weve been doing well with in the last week, along with a couple of props.

Per usual, Ill put everything official up on Twitter that I bet on personally. This is a betting guide for this NBA card, and anything Ive actually bet will include a unit amount.

We cashed the Celtics last week with a couple of nice home wins, but laid off on Saturday night. It was the second night of a back-to-back, and Boston was on the road against a scrappy Cavs squad. It seemed like the Cs were going to keep the momentum rolling, up 74-56 late in the third quarter. But the Cavs dug deep and earned an ugly 91-89 victory at home. Now with a day off in-between, these two teams square off once again. In general, I love backing the loser of the first games when NBA teams play each other two games in a row, but the spot becomes even more intriguing given how Boston collapsed. Credit to the Cavs for being one of the surprises of the young season, but the Celtics have been playing terrific basketball their last three and half games without Jaylen Brown, outside of Saturdays fourth quarter in Cleveland. I expect the Cs to go back to what worked early on Saturday, and keep their guard up in this one to close things out.

Whos been stepping up with Brown out? Well, Jayson Tatum has been fantastic, but Schroders scoring has been on another level since being inserted as a started. In the four games since Brown went down, Schroders scoring opportunities have seen a massive spike attempting 20.75 field goals per contest in over 37 minutes of run. Hes turned that into 26.5 points per game, with totals of 20, 20, 38 and then 28 in this exact matchup on Saturday impressive given there were 180 points in the game. Seems like were getting a short number here for the role Schoders played with Brown out.

Bradley Beal will miss his second consecutive game on Monday for the Wizards, which means we should see much more of Dinwiddie controlling the offense. In the two games Beals missed that Dinwiddie played in, here are his final lines:

10/22 vs. IND: 34 points, six rebounds, nine assists on 13-of-24 shooting in 35 minutes.

11/13 vs. ORL: 23 points, 11 rebounds, six assists on 10-for-18 shooting in 31 minutes.

Those are averages of 28.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists a total of 44.5 P/R/A per. Thats a large enough edge to fire on the over for my largest play of the night, particularly against a poor Pelicans defense.

Tons of injury news here on both sides. But there is a chance Portland gets Lillard back, and the Blazers have been much better at home. If enough bodies are ruled out for the Raps, this could be a spot to fire on. Stay tuned and pay attention to the news.

Its been a month in the 2021-22 season and theres already a shakeup at the top of the Rookie of the Year awards race. Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green was the odds-on favorite heading into the season according to DraftKings Sportsbook at +200 with Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham not far behind at +300. One month in, the rookie conversation has been dominated by big men.

Cavaliers power forward Evan Mobley is making waves early in the year, averaging 15.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for a surprisingly competent Cleveland team. The Cavaliers are in the play-in tournament mix at 9-5, which has helped Mobleys cause. The rookie has worked well with Jarrett Allen in the frontcourt. It helps that Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Love have been sidelined for significant time. Mobley is the favorite to win the award at +185.

One of the biggest surprises in the draft was Scottie Barnes going to the Raptors at No. 4. The combo forward was a defensive star but seemingly had little offensive game coming into the league. That has not been the case through the first month. Barnes is averaging 16.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game while helping Toronto immensely on the defensive end. Pascal Siakam has returned, so Torontos record is going to improve going forward. Barnes is currently +275 to win the honor.

Cunningham and Green are next in the line according to DraftKings Sportsbook at +500 each. The No. 1 overall pick dealt with an injury issue early in the season and has struggled mightily from the floor. Green is in a similar boat in terms of efficiency. Lets see if both players can pick things up as the season goes on.
