Hockey teams historically have issues in their first home game after a lengthy road trip. Its essentially just another road game, especially in the case of the Penguins, who hit the road again on Thanksgiving night for a game on Friday in New York.

Mike Sullivan, in fact, acknowledged that the Penguins coaching staff was concerned about the home game on Wednesday against the Canucks.

Turns out, there was nothing to worry about.

The Penguins produced one of their most energetic efforts of the season, dictating the tempo from the beginning in an impressive 4-1 victory against the Canucks to extend Pittsburghs winning streak to four.

I thought our effort was good, Sullivan said. We came out with a lot of energy. As a coaching staff, we were a little concerned about this one after a tough travel day. The guys played with a lot of energy. We werent as tight defensively as weve been. I think thats something weve got to take from this and just make sure that were making better decisions with the puck.

Bryan Rust, Evan Rodrigues, Zach Aston-Reese and Brock McGinn scored for the Penguins.

Throughouttheir relatively short-lived career, The Police were best defined as a new-wave band with a punk edge they weren't exactly hard rock. However, Sting has compared his vocal style to that of a heavy metal singer, but "with a little more melody."

The discussion came about during an interview with Rick Beatoand guitaristDominic Miller.

"I'm not here to belong to a genre or adapt myself to any kind of rules. I just do what I instinctively feel I want to do. I'm lucky to have that opportunity and the privilege to do that. I'm also helped by some fantastic musicians who feel the same way exploring the whole spectrum of music, and not just saying 'We're in this ghetto here.' We're not. We play everything."

The Police were active from 1977 until about 1986, and they released five studio albums within that timeframe. One of their most popular songs, which Beato pointed out during the interview was "Roxanne," which features Sting singing in a particularly high register throughout it.

"I think registers are interesting. Most heavy metal singers sing up there. So I'm a heavy metal singer, but I have a little more melody," the vocalist said smiling. "It's the same way that, to get above the noise of the band, you need that register. You can't be a baritone with a rock band, really."

He thencomparedthe duties of a vocalist in a loud band to that of a military commander who has to raise his voice above the artillery during combat.

"Singers have the same need," he added.

BATON ROUGE, La. Leading 17-0 from his own 39-yard line in a game against a team ranked No. 125 in the country by ESPNs SP+, Ed Orgeron said, Screw it.

LSU ended up beating UL Monroe, 27-14, and the outcome was never truly in question. But it was just one more night in which things could never come easy for the Tigers. It was the kind of night in which ULM missed two wide-open fourth down attempts at the goal line to save LSU from itself. Yes, its a depleted roster with double-digit starters out and little to play for, and yes, its a season thats been off the rails for months, but the same team that took Alabama and Arkansas down to the wire this month barely got by UL Monroe.

Thats this LSU season in a nutshell.

As Orgeron went into the locker room at the half, he told the ESPN sideline reporter, We took a gamble right there on the punt fake that didnt make it. My bad.

Its a rematch of that one crazy Super Bowl where the Falcons blew a 28-3 lead against the Patriots.

Something tells me this game wont be nearly as entertaining, but were going to probably tune in regardless. Rookie tight end Kyle Pitts is already a very talented player in the NFL and the Pats will have their hands full with him tonight. Cordarelle Patterson, who has done pretty much everything for the Falcons this season, will still be the focal point for both the Falcons offense and the Patriots defense.

Who do I ultimately like to win tonights matchup? Well, lets dive on in and find out. Of course, all odds below are via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Patriots (-6.5) vs. Falcons - O/U 47

Prediction: Patriots - The Pats are in year two without Tom Brady and theyre already one of the best teams in the AFC, if recent results are any indication. They just put the Browns in a piledriver so I wouldnt put it past this team to continue their brand of efficient and hard-nosed football on display again tonight in Atlanta.

Saints vs. Eagles (-2) - O/U 43

Prediction: Eagles - After barely dropping one to the Chargers, the Eagles came out and beat an overachieving Broncos team 30-13. Jalen Hurts was efficient enough to overcome an interception while the defense got a massive pick-six from Darius Slay. The Saints have been a wild card without Jameis Winston and I have a feeling the Eagles will come together to play one of their better games of the year this week.

Dolphins (-3.5) vs. Jets - O/U 44.5

Prediction: Dolphins - The Dolphins are likely feeling themselves quite a bit after they took down the Ravens just one week ago. If they play anything like they did defensively against Baltimore, they should absolutely steamroll the Jets who, for some odd reason, are startin Joe Flacco at quarterback.

Washington vs. Carolina (-3) - O/U 43

Prediction: Carolina - Both of these teams are riding high following wins against two of the best teams in the NFL in Tampa Bay and Arizona, respectively. Cam Newton gave the Panthers a surprising spark in the red zone and they were able to ride their phenomenal pass defense the rest of the way. Washingtons defense came to play, looking more and more like their 2020 form, and picked off Tom Brady twice and limit their explosive offense.

In this battle, I just dont think I should bet against Cam Newton in his first start for Carolina since returning last week.

Colts vs. Bills (-7) - O/U 50.5

Prediction: Bills - The Bills will be desperate to get the bad taste out of their mouth following their abysmal loss to the Jaguars. They get to face a hot Colts team thats been riding the legs of Jonathan Taylor week in and week out. The Bills have the leagues third-ranked rushing defense thats allowing just 83.9 yards per game. In this matchup, the Bills seem to have an edge where it hurts Indy the most.

Lions vs. Browns (-11) - O/U 43.5

Prediction: Browns - After tail-whipping they just got from the Patriots, the Browns are being handed the best possible matchup they could have hoped for in the winless Lions. Nick Chubb remains on the COVID-19 list but it wont throw Cleveland off their game too much as third-stringer DErnest Johnson has done more than enough to be the teams starting running back in the meantime.

49ers (-6.5) vs. Jaguars - O/U 45

Prediction: 49ers - After throttling the Rams on Monday night, the Niners get the Jaguars in an easy matchup that should only further San Franciscos sudden uptick in momentum. The Jags have the leagues 11th-ranked rushing defense so it may not be the easiest matchup in terms of what the 49ers want to do but if Jimmy G can remain as efficient as he did against L.A., this could still be a pretty lopsided victory.

Texans vs. Titans (-10) - O/U 44.5

Prediction: Titans - The Texans havent looked that competitive since their week one win over the Jaguars. The Titans, even without Derrick Henry, have shown they can still move the football at will. The duo of Adrian Peterson and DOnta Foreman are more than enough to exploit the leagues 31st-ranked run defense.

Packers (-1) vs. Vikings - O/U 49

Prediction: Packers - Aaron Rodgers simply owns the NFC North. Every single year, its the same story. Sometimes the other teams find a way to sneak a game out against Green Bay but this doesnt seem like one of those seasons. I think the Vikings will keep it competitive early before the Pack creates separation in the second half.

Ravens (-5) vs. Bears - O/U 46

Prediction: Ravens - I cant imagine the Ravens putting up a dud for a second consecutive week. Lamar Jackson and company should rebound well against a rookie quarterback who is still finding his rhythm in the NFL. Ill say Baltimore wins this game by at least two touchdowns.

Bengals (-1) vs. Raiders - O/U 49.5

Prediction: Bengals - This might be my favorite matchup on Sundays slate. Both teams love to sling the rock all over the field and thats an easy recipe for a very enjoyable football game. Im taking the Joe Burrow and the Bengals here because every other team in theAFC West needs to lose. I dont make the rules.

Cardinals (-2) vs. Seahawks - O/U 48.5

Prediction: Cardinals - The return of Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins is expected to take place this week and thats a quick fix to the Cardinals issues they went through against Carolina. Of course, those issues are literally just missing your best players. Cardinals should win this game somewhat easily against a Seattle defense thats one of two units to allow over 400.0 yards of offense per game.

Cowboys vs. Chiefs (-2.5) - O/U 56.5

Prediction: Cowboys - Whatever needs to happen for the Chiefs to lose this game, Im praying for. Patrick Mahomes looked as legendary as ever this past week but Im not going to be all that quick to say that the Chiefs are back by any means. Hell need to have another one of those masterful performances if they hope to survive a very strong Dallas team.

Giants vs. Buccaneers (-11) - O/U 49.5

Prediction: Buccaneers - In no way are the Bucs going to lose twice in a row to lowly teams from the NFC East. Tom Brady will have his players in the right mindset to come out and absolutely steamroll the Giants. This is an easy call.

WWE has been celebrating the 25 year anniversary of The Rock all month long as "The Great One" made his debut at WWE Survivor Series 1996. While WWE was reportedly hopeful that The Rock would be at Survivor Series 2021, he will be in Australia filming "Young Rock" at the time.

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Roman Reigns was asked about the rumors at The Rock would be making an appearance.

"These are rumors, you're saying? I haven't heard these rumors and I would think I'm closer than anybody at this point. It's not what I've heard, but I also debuted at Survivor Series as well, so it's a nice little tie-in," he said.

Reigns made his debut alongside The Shield at Survivor Series 2021.

Asked if he would like to face The Rock, Reigns replied, "I would. I don't know if he wants it. That's something we do in our family as far as sports entertainment, professional wrestling, WWE, this is our platform and family business. I fought with my cousins The Usos about a year ago and where better to solve problems than the squared circle."

Reigns is set to face Big E at WWE Survivor Series.

Progressive alt-rockers The Dear Hunter have a new album called Antimai on the way, and they'll support it on a 2022 tour with two very cool openers: The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die and O'Brother vocalist Tanner Merritt (who has collaborated with The Dear Hunter in the past). The Dear Hunter will be playing their new album in full, plus "additional songs voted on by the TDH community."

The tour kicks off with shows in San Francisco (3/3 at The Chapel) and LA (3/4 at Lodge Room), and it eventually makes its way East, where it will hit Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg on March 20. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (11/19) at 10 AM. All dates are listed on the tour poster below.

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die just wrapped up their own headlining tour at Brooklyn's Elsewhere this past weekend (pics, review), and their excellent new album Illusory Walls is out now on Epitaph Records. University of Utah Athletics / Under Armour

The University of Utah football team will debut new helmets during this weekends game against No. 4 Oregon and they are pretty special. Each helmet has been hand-stenciled, painted and airbrushed and will honor United States servicemen and women.

In addition to the helmets, the Utes will rock all-grey uniforms that correspond with the lids. The entire uniforms, while paying tribute to the military, are specifically designed in style with the U.S.S. Salt Lake City.

The ship, which launched in 1927, had the distinction of having taken part in more combat engagements than any other ship in the World War II Pacific Fleet. Intricate details on the uniform are both meaningful and well-presented.

Each of the jerseys features a single battle star on the right shoulder. When all 11 players are on the field, it will represent the 11 battle stars that was earned by the U.S.S. Salt Lake City.

The dark grey color scheme is consistent with the battle ship, featuring dazzle grey camo on the shoulders and side of the pants. The patterns on the left and right side of the kit corresponds directly with the left and right sides of the U.S.S. Salt Lake City. Same with the gloves.

(Authors note: as someone who typically hates every Under Armour uniform they put out, these are a significant exception.)

From top to bottom, Utahs uniforms are really unique, creative and beautifully-executed.

Will they be enough to give Utah the extra edge it needs to take down a top-five Oregon team? I dont know.
