NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Graphics Card Specs, Performance, Price & Availability Everything We Know So Far – Wccftech

Posted: June 7, 2022 at 1:26 am

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 will be the next-generation high-end gaming graphics card, offering the latest graphics architecture based on Ada Lovelace GPUs. The graphics card will be replacing the RTX 3060, a very popular gaming graphics card in the $300-$400 US segment.

While there's no denying the enthusiasm around the higher-end GeForce RTX 4090, GeForce RTX 4080 & GeForce RTX 4070 series graphics cards that offer the best of the best gaming performance, the RTX 4060 series graphics cards will be designed around the $300-$400 US segment which is a mainstream price range that still offers lots of performance at hand. It's simple, the RTX 4090 series will be aimed at users who want the best of the best without worrying about the amount of money they are spending while the RTX 4080 series is aimed at users who want the best performance at the best possible price. The RTX 4070 will be the sweet spot for high-end gaming, while the RTX 4060 is designed for the gaming masses at a price that will be hard to ignore given its performance.

The previous GeForce RTX 3060 was touted to offer a huge improvement over the RTX 2080 SUPER. The card did end up meeting its promised performance target but was at most a 25-30% boost when compared to the RTX 2060 SUPER. This was mainly due to the fact that the RTX 2060 SUPER was already an upgraded version of the RTX 2060. But ever since the RTX 20 series, the RTX 30 got its own Ti and Non-Ti flavors.

The RTX 3060 Ti was around 30% faster than the RTX 3060. The RTX 3060 Ti was also 30% faster than the RTX 2060 SUPER and 40-45% faster than the standard RTX 2060. The RTX 3060 Non-Ti on the other hand was around 10% faster than the RTX 2060 SUPER and 20% faster than the RTX 2060 Non-SUPER graphics card. So based on the performance, the RTX 3060 Ti was indeed faster but also more expensive but still ended up delivering better value versus its predecessor.

For example, the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 2060 SUPER both had an MSRP of $399 US but the 3060 Ti offered 30% faster performance. Meanwhile, the RTX 3060 Non-Ti was $20 US cheaper than the RTX 2060 Non-SUPER but offered a 20% performance boost. Since the RTX 3060 never launched with a Founders Edition variant, most of the models retailed at $15-$20 US more so at the end of the day, you were getting the same price as the RTX 2060 Non-SUPER with a 20% uplift.

The one thing NVIDIA did to persuade the gaming crowd to get its RTX 3060 graphics card equipped with 12 GB of memory versus the 8 GB on the RTX 3060 Ti. That didn't change the performance much since the card featured a lowly 192-bit bus versus the 256-bit bus of the Ti variant, ending up with lower bandwidth.

We should expect similar things with the next-generation gaming solution too but an important factor to consider is that GPUs are becoming more power-hungry and more pricey. It is a trend that might continue into the future as we get better products but in return, there's always a cost to pay for end consumers. So starting with what we know so far, first we should take a look at the brand new Ada Lovelace or AD10* class GPUs that will be powering the next-gen GeForce RTX 40 series cards.

Starting with the GPU configuration, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 series graphics cards may utilize both AD104 and AD106 GPUs. The reason is the same as the situation with the current GeForce RTX 30 series where the RTX 3060 Ti is based on the GA104 GPU and the RTX 3060 is based on the GA106 GPU. We have already detailed the AD104 GPU here so let's take a look at the AD106 GPU & what it has to offer. The GPU is said to measure around 200mm2 and will utilize the TSMC 4N process node which is an optimized version of TSMC's 5nm (N5) node designed for the green team.

The NVIDIA Ada Lovelace AD106 GPU is expected to feature up to 3 GPC (Graphics Processing Clusters). This is the same GPC count as the GA106 GPU. Each GPU will consist of 6 TPCs and 2 SMs which is the same configuration as the existing chip. Each SM (Streaming Multiprocessor) will house four sub-cores which is also the same as the GA106 GPU. What's changed is the FP32 & the INT32 core configuration. Each sub-core will include 128 FP32 units but combined FP32+INT32 units will go up to 192. This is because the FP32 units don't share the same sub-core as the IN32 units. The 128 FP32 cores are separate from the 64 INT32 cores.

So in total, each sub-core will consist of 32 FP32 plus 16 INT32 units for a total of 48 units. Each SM will have a total of 128 FP32 units plus 64 INT32 units for a total of 192 units. And since there are a total of 36 SM units (12 per GPC), we are looking at 4,608 FP32 Units and 2,304 INT32 units for a total of 6,912 cores. Each SM will also include two Wrap Schedules (32 thread/CLK) for 64 wraps per SM. This is a 50% increase on the cores (FP32+INT32) and a 33% increase in Wraps/Threads vs the GA102 GPU.

Moving over to the cache, this is another segment where NVIDIA has given a big boost over the existing Ampere GPUs. The Ada Lovelace GPUs will pack 192 KB of L1 cache per SM, an increase of 50% over Ampere. The L2 cache will be increased to 32 MB as mentioned in the leaks. This is a 10.6x increase over the Ampere GA106 GPU that hosts just 3 MB of L2 cache. The cache will be shared across the GPU.

Finally, we have the ROPs which will stick to 16 per GPC. You are looking at up to 48 ROPs, the same as the current GA106 GPUs. There are also going to be the latest 4th Generation Tensor and 3rd Generation RT (Raytracing) cores infused on the Ada Lovelace GPUs which will help boost DLSS & Raytracing performance to the next level. Overall, the Ada Lovelace AD106 GPU will offer:

NVIDIA AD106 'Ada Lovelace' Gaming GPU Block Diagram Mock-Up (Image Credits: SemiAnalysis):

Do note that clock speeds, which are said to be between the 2-3 GHz range, aren't taken into the equation so they will also play a major role in improving the per-core performance versus Ampere.

As we saw with the GeForce RTX 3060 series, NVIDIA can have two distinct configurations of the RTX 4060 series graphics cards. We realistically expect there to be two variants, the RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti. The existing generation saw the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3060 release a few months apart and this is known to be a volume segment so NVIDIA will take the advantage to position two solutions, one around $300-$350 and one around $400-$450 US at mainstream gamers right off the bat.

Currently, there's no telling if the AD104 GPU will be utilized within the GeForce RTX 4060 series and as such, we will focus on the standard RTX 4060 which will utilize the AD106 GPU.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 'Expected' Specifications

Based on NVIDIA's decision to do a mix of AD104/AD106 or go AD106 across its RTX 4060 series lineup we can either see a cut-down RTX 4060 or one with a full configuration whereas the Ti can use a cut-down AD104 configuration. The AD106 GPU will come packed with 32 MB of L2 cache and up to 48 ROPs.

The clock speeds are not confirmed yet but considering that the TSMC 4N process is being used, we are expecting clocks between the 2.0-3.0 GHz range. The higher than usual clock speed bump comes from the fact that NVIDIA is making a two-node jump considering the Ampere GPUs with Samsung 8nm node was in reality a 10nm process node with some optimizations. NVIDIA is skipping 7nm and going straight for a 5nm node and not even the vanilla variant but an optimized version of it. With Pascal on the TSMC 16nm node, NVIDIA delivered a huge frequency leap and we can expect a similar jump this time around too.

As for memory specs, the GeForce RTX 4060 is expected to rock 8 GB GDDR6X capacities that might come at faster 20+ Gbps speeds across a 128-bit bus interface for over 320 GB/s of bandwidth. The 'Ti' variant, if it ends up with an AD104 GPU, could offer up to 12 GB of memory across a 192-bit bus interface. The GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card is also said to rock a TGP of 220W which is an increase of 30% over the RTX 3060 and a 10% increase over the RTX 3060 Ti. This is a massive TGP increase and the performance needs to be really good for NVIDIA to keep its efficiency numbers up.

As for its feature set, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics cards will rock all the modern NV feature sets such as the latest 4th Gen Tensor Cores, 3rd gen RT cores, and the latest NVENC Encoder, and NVCDEC Decoder, and support for the latest APIs. They will pack all the modern RTX features such as DLSS, Reflex, Broadcast, Resizable-BAR, Freestyle, Ansel, Highlights, Shadowplay, and G-SYNC support too.

As for the performance of the gaming GPUs, we can only use theoretical numbers here since the launch is a bit far away but based on what we know, the RTX 40 series cards might be the first gaming cards to hit the 100 TFLOPs compute horsepower limit.

Just for comparison's sake:

Based on a theoretical clock speed of 2.2 GHz, you get up to 20 TFLOPs of compute performance and the rumors are suggesting even higher boost clocks. Now, these are definitely sounding like peak clocks, similar to AMD's peak frequencies which are higher than the average 'Game' clock. A 20+ TFLOPs compute performance means more performance on a '60-class' GPU than a '70-class flagship' which will be a good bump. But one should keep in mind that compute performance doesn't necessarily indicate the overall gaming performance.

This will be around a54% compute performance uplift for the GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card versus its predecessor and this is without even factoring in the RT and Tensor core performance which is expected to get major lifts too in their respective department. Now FLOPs aren't necessarily reflective of the graphics or gaming performance but they do provide a metric that can be used for comparison.

Gamers should expect great 1080p and even 1440p gaming to be buttery smooth on these graphics cards and with DLSS. The '60' series has always been targeted at premium 1080p & mainstream 1440p gaming but expect these cards to be really popular amongst eSports with technologies such as Reflex, DLSS, and various streaming capabilities at a mainstream price point.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 was launched at $329 US while the RTX 3060 Ti was launched at 399 US. We can expect NVIDIA to retain the same prices for these cards with a $10-$20 US pricing adjustment here and there.

NVIDIA really needs to secure more gamers in the $300-$400 US segment but they have to deliver a product that's worth the price. The RTX 3060 Ti was a decent product while the RTX 3060 proved very competitive against the AMD Radeon RX 6600 series. Now it will be up to NVIDIA to decide if they want to retain the position of the mainstream-king or go a route that will not be in the interest of gamers and themselves, alike.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards are rumored for a Q3 reveal and a launch is expected in Q4 2022 so we will know for sure what NVIDIA is up to in the next few months.

Uruguay had little problem handling Mexico. What should the USMNT expect from Edinson Cavani & Co.? – ESPN

Posted: at 2:47 am

By the time Diego Alonso's Uruguay squad arrived in Glendale, Arizona, he had come to some important conclusions about the balance of his side. After beating Mexico 3-0 at State Farm Stadium on Thursday, La Celeste can now move forward with confidence to Sunday's meeting with the United States in Kansas City, Kansas.

In two of the past three World Cups -- statistically, at least -- Uruguay have been South America's best team, remarkable given it's a nation with a population of just 3.5 million. Being so small inevitably limits their options; if they are to get the best out of their resources, they must achieve the right collective balance. And over time, a hardened group of wonderful veterans have helped haul Uruguay back to football's top table after a spell between 1994 and 2006 in which they failed to qualify for three out of four World Cups and were eliminated in the group phase the one time they did qualify.

In 2010, they finished fifth in South America's qualifiers and had to go through the playoff to make it to South Africa -- where they announced their return to the big time by finishing fourth. Many of the players responsible for that remarkable run are still involved, but how should they be handled? Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani have formed a magnificent front pair, but can they both still operate together? And is 4-4-2 still the team's best formation?

2 Related

Toward the end of his marathon reign, manager Oscar Washington Tabarez appeared to have decided that it was time to move on. In his last nine World Cup qualifiers, only once did the team play in a 4-4-2 formation. Suarez and Cavani took the field together away to Brazil, where Uruguay were lucky to come away with a 4-1 defeat. In came Alonso -- fresh off a futile tenure as Inter Miami's first-ever coach -- and turned the clock back. Uruguay had to win and their remaining fixtures were relatively straightforward, so he went back to a 4-4-2 set-up, pairing Suarez either with Cavani or with the emerging star, Benfica's Darwin Nunez.

Three consecutive wins took the team over the line and, interestingly, with a place in Qatar secure, Alonso tried something different in the final round, away to Chile. He started with Cavani on his own up front, ahead of a five-man midfield. It looked closer to the team that he'd use in the World Cup -- an impression confirmed by his selection against El Tri. Suarez is unavailable this time. but Alonso can call upon Nunez, plus the strength of Maxi Gomez.

There are, though, clear advantages of playing a single central striker. It allows the team to field three in the centre of midfield, which these days is playing to a new strength. Real Madrid's Federico Valverde has emerged as probably the most important member of the side, and he works well with Tottenham Hotspur's Rodrigo Bentancur. Even in the absence of Bentancur due to injury, Uruguay can play Lucas Torreira holding in front of the defence and Matias Vecino alongside Valverde in a mixed attacking/defensive role. It is a formation that makes the current Uruguay side more fluent in possession, and harder to play through.

Having one striker also frees the flanks. In Thursday's match, Uruguay effectively won the game over Mexico in the first few minutes of the second half, when a 1-0 lead was quickly turned into a 3-0 rout by two Cavani goals. The quick strikes both came from breaks down the right, where Facundo Pellistri is a gamble that has come off for Alonso. The Manchester United attacking midfielder is on loan at Alaves, where he's not seen a great deal of action. Alonso took a chance on him early this year and has been rewarded -- especially against Mexico, where his running with the ball caused untold problems. He set up the second goal, while the final strike was made by a forward burst from substitute right-back Damian Suarez.

It's true that all of Uruguay's opponents will not be as obliging as Mexico, whose formation seemed ill-equipped for the occasion. With a back three against one striker, they left themselves light in central midfield. The USMNT on Sunday can be expected to provide a stiffer test, which is exactly what Uruguay need. They have one final game in these June FIFA dates, a chance for their fans to see them in Montevideo on June 11, but opponents Jamaica have pulled out, leaving Uruguay scrambling for a replacement.

There is a chance, then, that the rescheduled opponent could produce a festive occasion more than a serious international, which adds to the importance of the match against the USMNT.

Centre-back Diego Godin will presumably play in Kansas City. The team captain was on the bench against Mexico, coming on for the last few minutes. It will be a surprise if he's left out against the USMNT, but some will be surprised if he keeps his place in Qatar. Godin is at the veteran stage of his career, and a move back to South America has not gone especially well. He has struggled to get a regular game with Brazilian champions Atletico Mineiro and could soon be on his way to Velez Sarsfield in Argentina.

Will Alonso phase him out? At the World Cup, he could certainly pair Atletico Madrid's Jose Maria Gimenez with Ronald Araujo of Barcelona. Araujo has been used at right back, but this seems like a waste. He went off injured in the first half against Mexico -- and the advantages of a genuine right back were made clear when Suarez made the forward run that set up the third goal.

Sunday's game, then, may well be an important one in the long career of Godin. He has been a rock all the way through Uruguay's reemergence. He needs a sound display against the USMNT to show that he can end his international career on a high in Qatar.

A link across time: how shipping forecast will outlast Radio 4 long wave – The Guardian

Posted: at 2:47 am

Radio 4s shipping forecast is a national institution, with millions of listeners reassured by the thought that, somewhere out at sea, British fishers are patiently waiting by their radios to find out whether there is a gale warning in Rockall or Cromarty.

Yet the announcement that Radio 4s long wave signal will be shut down as part of the BBCs latest cuts has left many wondering how the countrys fishing fleet will cope without access to the four-times-a-day updates.

The slightly less romantic reality, according to Mike Cohen of the National Federation of Fishermens Organisations, is that his members have not needed Radio 4 for decades. Modern fishers have far more accurate devices to warn them about the wind and rain: Even the small 15-metre boats in Bridlington have satellite internet these days. Ive had video calls from people in the middle of the sea.

Yet that does not mean they are immune to the charms of Sailing By, the music that heralds the forecasts and was designed to help captains adjust their radios: That theme tune is a link to other times, other people, other places. Theres as much a fondness among fishermen for that as there is for the rest of us.

When the fishers trade body asked its members how they felt about the shipping forecast one said it acted as a link across communities, a link across time. Another added: For us it is a bygone age but for many older folk it is a reassuring connection to the past.

The BBC plans to end dedicated programming on its Radio 4 long wave frequency next year, which could mean the loss of two of the current four shipping broadcast updates. The early morning and late night forecasts will remain on FM, DAB and online broadcasts. But the loss of the long wave signal accessible far from the British mainland confirms they will essentially be nostalgia pieces, more about waking the nation up or lulling listeners to sleep.

Cohen said modern fishing boats were stuffed full of GPS equipment, chart plotters, and highly precise weather information: You can get all of this built into the technology in the wheelhouse. Fishermen want detail for exactly the spot theyre in not just a summary of the nation.

While fishers still take substantial risks every time they head out to sea, he said the reality was that the modern fishing industry is a technology-heavy job that is worlds away from the stereotype of Captain Birdseye with a souwester knitting his own kippers.

The shipping forecast has been broadcast for more than a century but took on its current form in 1949 including most of the 31 distinctive names for nautical areas around the coast of Great Britain and Ireland. Over the decades it has been parodied, interrupted crucial moments of Test Match Special cricket coverage, and provided musical inspiration inspiring Sea Power to write the song Gale Warnings in Viking North, and giving Blur the lyric On the Tyne, Forth and Cromarty / Theres a low in the high forties on This Is a Low.

A spokesperson for the BBC said the forecast would not disappear altogether and would remain as a much-loved part of the regular Radio 4 schedule, giving listeners moments of calm in their day. The long wave signal which has been threatened before and currently relies on a small supply of metre-high historic glass valves to keep broadcasting will survive for a few more years.

Cohen suggested the general public enjoyed hearing unfamiliar placenames such as North Utsire and South Utsire coastal regions near Norway which he likened to encountering here be dragons on an ancient map: You dont see those names on a road sign. Its a bit like beating the bounds going to the edge of the nation and looking off.

Days of Our Lives Summer Preview: As a Major Murder Mystery Kicks Off, Who Will Be Killed? – Soaps.com

Posted: at 2:47 am

The suspect list is a mile long!

The population of Salem will temporarily expand when the Grim Reaper visits Days of Our Lives. Of course, things will quickly balance out when the scythe-wielding soul collector steals the life of a local!

Theres going to be a shocking murder that will rock all of Salem, headwriter Ron Carlivati told Soap Opera Digest in their new issue. And the suspect list is a mile long!

The one thing the scribe didnt reveal? Who would be biting the proverbial (and perhaps literal) bullet. But were pretty sure weve got that one figured out

By now, youve no doubt heard those pesky rumors that Abigail is on the chopping block, with some even going so far as to suggest that shell exit in the most dramatic fashion possible: by being beheaded! (You can read what Carlivati had to say about that here.) Even if thats the case, however, hers seems unlikely to be the death referenced in the latest tease. Why? Simple. Even if Abigail were to be murdered, the suspect list wouldnt be a mile long. Its not as if Chads wife has a slew of enemies out there plotting her demise.

More: Which Salem couple is heading for divorce court?

The same cant be said, however, for Gwen. Since first she arrived in Salem, Abigails then-secret sibling has done nothing to endear herself to the locals (or, for that matter, viewers). Youll recall that when Abby yanked the rug out from under Gwen on the day she was to marry Xander, there wasnt anybody rushing to comfort the would-be bride. Truth be told, everyone from spectators to the at-home audience was cheering the bitchy Brits downfall.

Yet Gwen isnt likely to be the murder victim, either. Rather, were guessing her fellow schemer, the dastardly Leo, is the one wholl be offed. Think about it: The bad boy, who has just a little bit too much fun raising hell to ever make it into heaven, is exactly the type to wind up ticking off one person too many. You can practically hear half of Salem telling the police, Oh, I definitely would have killed him if someone hadnt gotten there first!

More: The best and worst of May sweeps

Heck, the cops wont even have to make a suspect list, given that Leo has been walking around with the names of everyone hes trying to destroy in his pocket!

Who might actually do away with Leo? Check out our list of suspects as well as their motives!

JON ANDERSON To Celebrate 50th Anniversary Of YES’s ‘Close To The Edge’ Album On Summer 2022 Tour – BLABBERMOUTH.NET

Posted: at 2:47 am

Legendary YES vocalist/songwriter Jon Anderson will play select shows with The Paul Green Rock Academy in summer 2022. Jon and the ensemble will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of YES's classic album "Close To The Edge" by performing the LP in its entirety, along with other classics and surprises.

This Jon Anderson tour with The Paul Green Rock Academy is a resumption of the tradition started in 2005 when Jon toured with Paul Green's original School Of Rock all-stars. These early shows, over 30 in total between 2006 and 2008, were nothing short of magical, and now Anderson returns to continue that magic with a set of YES classics, deep cuts, mash-ups and solo works, all with lush arrangements featuring choral singing, horns, and all the other benefits of having a backing band with 25 young musicians.

Says Paul Green: "Having done a few of these songs in the past with Jon and my students, I couldn't wait to add them to the current show. Once we did 'Close To The Edge' and 'And You And I' on our Florida run in April, I was reminded of the magic of hearing these songs recreated by young musicians They really capture the frenetic energy of the original recordings. Then when I heard it was the 50th anniversary of the album, I just knew we had to do the whole thing. Jon agreed."

Anderson said: "There are so many wonderful moments in my musical life, and being on stage with these young teenagers performing classic YES songs makes me so happy and proud... It's a marvel and a tremendous pleasure for me. They are a joy to be with and so much fun. I am grateful, thankful and feel very blessed to be able to sing along with them. Janee and I love them all. Love and light."

Anderson co-founded YES in 1968 with bassist Chris Squire, and remained with the band until 2008, when YES replaced him with Benoit David, an Anderson sound-alike who previously fronted the YES tribute band CLOSE TO THE EDGE. David left YES in 2012 and was replaced by Jon Davison.

In July 2020, Howe told Rolling Stone that there is virtually no chance of the surviving members of YES reuniting for a tour.

"I don't think [the fans] should stay up late nights worrying about that," he said. "There's just too much space out there between people. To be in a band together or even to do another tour like 'Union' is completely unthinkable," referencing the group's 1990 "Union" LP and tour, which brought together the previous YES album's lineup (Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Alan White, Tony Kaye) and the then-ex-YES members' group ANDERSON BRUFORD WAKEMAN HOWE (Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe). "It was difficult when we went through that, particularly because of the personalities," Howe said. "I'm not saying any one person is to blame, but when you get a big hodgepodge like that together, it's pretty much a nightmare. We made a nightmare of possibly a good thing back in 1990. I don't think there is the stamina or the appetite for that kind of thing again."

Anderson, Wakeman and Rabin had started touring as ARW: ANDERSON, RABIN AND WAKEMAN in 2016 and then adopted the YES FEATURING JON ANDERSON, TREVOR RABIN, RICK WAKEMAN moniker shortly after the group's 2017 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction.

Howe last toured with Anderson and Wakeman in 2004.

YES has released over 20 albums across its career, including its self-titled debut in 1969, "Tales from Topographic Oceans", in 1973, and its last album, "The Quest", which came out in October.

Did you know when you signed on how big a role that Murray would eventually play?

I thought from the get-go that they were going to expand the character. Absolutely. The Duffers are very honest people. And so if theyre being really warm to youit just felt like this character is going to grow. Theres nothing else like this character on this show and I think he brings something that no other character is bringing.

How does your comedy background influence the flavor of the show?

My comedy background played so much into it. A lot of it is playing the script, but there was some improvisation. But Im classically trained too and so I was always a student of acting and comedy growing up. Just watching my favorite comedies. Id watch my favorite comedies three times in the same day sometimes.

What are those?

Theres the Holy Trinity, which is Mels best three: The Producers, Blazing Saddles, and Young Frankenstein. Thats to me the three funniest films of all time. Then the Marx Brothers. Peter Sellers. Eddie Murphy. The original SNL cast members. Ghostbusters. Doctor Strangelove. A Night at the Opera. Duck Soup. What was so cool about this season was how we really dipped into that 80s action-comedy aesthetic. So I was channeling my 80s heroes like the guys who were in their prime when I was a kid: Eddie, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase, John Candy. Tom Hanks! When I was a kid, Tom Hanks was a comedic actor. Channeling those guys but also always having Gene Wilder in my mind.

Murray does almost seem like a 70s leading man, like Gene Wilder or Richard Dreyfuss.

Those were the two that I was channeling characteristically. Whenever I play somebody, I am thinking of other actors performancesnot to mimic but to get their soul and the tone of what theyre doing. And its always been Dreyfuss and Wilder. But I will say a little bit of John Candy creeped in this season too. Theres a lot of tense laughing [big, nervous laughs]. Trying to fool the bad guys with laughterthats very John Candy.

The way that Murray freaks out is very Gene. And a lot of the were laying out the stark reality here stuff is very Dreyfuss in Jaws. Channeling that but bringing myself to it, of course. Im very influenced by the 70s aesthetic, the 70s values of acting, both in comedy and drama. Wilder was a method actor. He studied with Strasburg. And then was working with Mel. In the Holy Trinity, Gene is the Jesus of those films and Mel is God! My two favorite comedic performances of all time are Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder in The Producers. Im always thinking of those performances.

What are the 80s buddy comedies that were specifically mentioned as reference points for you and Winona this season?

Their child, Lisa Marie, was born on February 1, 1968.Both Elvis and Priscilla however couldn't stay happy with each other for long and got divorced in 1973.

When did Elvis Presley die?

Elvis died on August 16 in 1977, at the age of 42 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

How did Elvis Presley die?

The death of the famous rockstar Elvis shook the world. Everybody mourned his death and the news of his demise took the world by storm. However, his death caused a lot of chaos afterward as the question of how he died was bothering everyone.

Elvis Presley's cause of death remains controversial and mysterious to date.

It is known that on August 15, 1977, Elvis was at his home in Graceland and spent his day happily with his daughter Lisa and fiance Ginger. The same day at about 10:30 pm, both Ginger and Elvis went to see his dentist as he was having tooth pain. Elvis had a personal doctor, dentist, and nurse practitioner on call 24*7.

On August 16, 1977, both of them returned to Graceland and the King waved at his fans. The same night at around 2 am, he called his physician to ask for painkillers and when he was told about the same, he took them. The same night, he called his cousin Billy and wife Jo to come over to his place and play racquetball. The request wasn't odd because they were used to visiting him at late hours. They visited Elvis's house and played racquetball for some time.

At around 4:30 am, Elvis played gospel songs and the Ballard Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.At around 5 in the morning, Elvis went up to his bedroom and took prescription drugs given by 'Dr. Nick'. These drugs were prescribed to the King for better sleep.Despite taking the drugs, he couldn't sleep and so he took a second package of the pills. These pills were handed to him by Dr. Ricky who was on duty that day.

Elvis was eager to sleep as he had a concert to attend, but he couldn't do that, so he was desperate to bring more medications. He called his aunt and asked her to call Dr. Nick. The doctor wasn't available, however, there was a nurse who was reluctant to hand over more pills. However, she gave a smaller package of pills to his aunt that helps treat insomnia.

His daughter Lisa, was asleep in her bedroom next door. The same day at around 9:30 am, after taking three packages of pills and painkillers, Elvis went to the bathroom. It is a known fact that he suffered from constipation and so Ginger asked him not to fall asleep in the toilet. The last words of Elvis were "I won't."

After a few hours, Ginger woke up in bed and realized that Elvis Presley wasn't there. It didn't seem strange at first, but eventually, when she couldn't find him, she went looking for him. Elvis was found dead by his fiance, Ginger Alden on August 16, 1977, on the floor of his bedroom's bathroom.

Ginger immediately called out for the person on afternoon duty at the mansion. Lisa Marie immediately rushed to see what the chaos was all about. An ambulance was called and emergency services arrived. The ambulance took Elvis to the Baptist Hotel, where he was announced dead at around 3:30 pm.

Cause of Elvis's death

Elvis Presley was pronounced dead from cardiac arrhythmia. It was later known that cardiac arrest occurred due to serious drug abuse. In his autopsy report, it was revealed that he had taken many prescription drugs including antidepressants that caused his heart to stop.

Presley used to take various medications including antidepressants, sedatives, and barbiturates.

After Elvis's death, his doctor George Nichopoulos aka "Dr. Nick" was investigated over the heavy doses of drugs he prescribed to the King.He told the investigators that he began treating Elvis in 1967 and gave him over 19,000 pills. In the year 1980, the medical license of Dr. Nick was suspended for 3 months by the state of Tennessee.Dr. Nick testified that he gave Elvis these many medications because Elvis used to threaten him that if he doesn't prescribe him the medicines, he would get them from someone else.

In 1981, the doctor was charged with 11 felony counts of prescribing drugs in such a heavy dose. In 1995, he was suspended permanently by the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners.

What is the controversy around Elvis's death?

Today, it is commonly known that Elvis died due to cardiac arrest which occurred because of the overuse of drugs prescribed by Dr. Nichopoulos. However, at the time of his death, his family wanted to keep the details of his life private.

After the death of Elvis, a private autopsy was conducted to find the cause of his death at the request of his family. The official death certificate of Elvin was released by The Chief Medical Examiner of Tennessee Jerry Francisco stating that he died of a coronary issue and that drugs were not a contributing factor to his death.

Many pathologists who were involved in the autopsy criticized the statement of Jerry Francisco and argued that the cause of death should have been attributed to cardiac arrest due to a toxic combination of medication. It seemed as if the family was trying to cover up the fact that their son used to take a heavy dosage of medication.

The autopsy request came directly from the family and the reports were sealed after the procedure. Numerous attempts were made to unseal the documents, documents unsealed, with a 1993 reopening of the investigation into Presley's death getting the physician's notes, but not the autopsy itself, released.

So, to date, no one knows for sure if he died because of a heart attack or because he used to take so many drugs.

Conclusion

Whatever the case is, the death of Elvis will always be a mystery. However, he will always be remembered by everyone for his contribution to the world of music. He was, is, and always will be the King of Rock and Roll.

Travis Barker Took Off Kourtney Kardashian’s Wedding Garter With His Teeth – Cosmopolitan

Posted: May 25, 2022 at 4:01 am

Unless you were under a rock all weekend, you know Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker officially got married (for real this time!) in a swanky, romantic Italian villa. Casual! Naturally, the whole weekend was ~a thing~ full of numerous outfit changes, and a reception that was held inwait for ita *literal* castle.

But of course, it wouldn't be a Kravis wedding without a buttload of PDA, and even though the newlyweds aren't necessarily considered traditionalists, they did partake in a usual wedding custom: the removing of the bride's garter. Because they are who they are, Travis slid down his wife while she was standing in a super sexy black version of her wedding gown and removed her thigh-high lace garter with his teeth. And Travis's 16-year-old daughter Alabama caught the entire moment and posted it to her Instagram Story:

TBH, the weirdest thing is not that Travis did thisbecause it's quite common for grooms, actuallybut it's that he did this while the DJ was playing "I Want You Back" by The Jackson 5. Sooo all of a sudden Ginuwine's "Pony" doesn't exist?? Or Trey Songz's "Dive In"??? Missed opportunities by the DJ to really take this up a notch!

I'm not even going to hold you: For a couple whose brand is quite literally shoving their tongues down each other's throat on damn near every red carpet they hit, and like, in general (lol), this garter moment was about as spicy as salt and pepper on a chicken breast.
