Durban King Misuzulu KaZwelithini has spoken publicly for the first time since he was nominated as the heir to the Zulu throne.

His older brother, Prince Simakade, who is their fathers oldest son, is amongst those who are contesting for the Zulu throne.

Speaking to a South African news broadcaster from Mkhuze in northern KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday, the 47-year-old king spoke about his vision for the future, and the legacy of his late father, King Goodwill Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu.

He also spoke about his family life and his wife, the possibility of marrying more women in future, the issue of land under the Ingonyama Trust and his desire to eliminate gender-based violence within the Zulu nation.

Speaking in English and wearing a suit, he said on the day he had to be whisked out of KwaKhangelamankengane palace in Nongoma on the night of May7, he had had to grow up. This was shortly after he had been nominated in Queen Regent Mantfombi Dlamini Zulus will as the next Zulu king.

This was in reference to an incident in which his life was put at risk when Prince Thokozani Zulu rose up to challenge his naming as the next king, throwing the meeting into chaos. His close security detail, fearing that he could be in danger amid the chaos, had to whisk him out of the palace.

I had to be responsible, I had to grow on that day, I had to think different, I had to now become a king, he said.

Asked about his vision for the Zulu nation as he takes the throne, he said he was lucky that his father had laid a foundation for him, and he was going to use it wisely to take the nation forward.

What my father left as a foundation for us to carry on, I have to build on that, not to eliminate and say we are starting a new thing, new beginnings. I think my father, the king, had already started on a good note, he laid the foundation for myself and for the nation

I really have a foundation that I am going to work with in so far as all I need to do, and maybe a few years later I can start my foundation, but I need to complete what the late king has already initiated and started, he said.

The king also confirmed that he was married to Queen Ntokozo Mayisela, 36, and they have two children.

Asked if he would have more wives, he said: Look, coming from a polygamous background we can expect anything, I dont want to shy away from my Zulu culture and my family culture. For now I am happy with the one that I have got, he responded.

On the question of the Ingonyama Trust, a thorny issue that once pitted his late father with the national government when it wanted to disband the trust and take the 2.8million hectares of land and place it in the hands of the state, he said:

I think history tells us where the land of the Zulus is, there is no question, and for us it is to take that land and get it to be able to be developed, the right way, with other partners invited to our land.

The Zulus cannot do it alone, we need other friends and other systems to come and work with us to make things happen on our land, he said.

On eliminating gender-based violence that was ravaging the country, he said that was one of his priorities as he settled into his new role.

King Misuzulu appealed to the nation to have confidence in him, and to work with him to take the Zulu kingdom forward.

35-year-old twins share a boyfriend, use the bathroom at the same time, and view themselves as one person – Business Insider India

Posted: at 3:08 am

Anna and Lucy aren't your average twin sisters. In addition to looking and dressing identically, the 35-year-old Australian duo showers together, goes to the bathroom at the same time, and share a boyfriend.

During the first episode, Anna and Lucy said they always felt close, but their bond intensified after their father died from cancer.

"Obsessing about being identical is how we live our lives," they said on the show in unison. They also said they view themselves as one person.

Though Anna and Lucy don't have sex with the other sister in the room, they said Ben makes sure to please them in the same ways during their individual bedroom time.

According to Ben, he doesn't mind the arrangement, and loves both sisters because they're not afraid to "be who they are."

The sisters also confront societal expectations when they realize their dream to marry Ben is illegal in Australia, since it's considered polygamy.

But they still have plans to start a family with Ben, which include getting pregnant at the exact same time through artificial insemination with his sperm.

Misheck Nyandoro enjoys his hugefamily. He says he is living a life of luxury, as hischildrenshower him with gifts and money while his wives make sure that his house, stomach and other desires are taken care of.

He married his first bride in 1983, and is now preparing to take up his 17th bride.

He says that if he could manage it, he would marry 100 women and have 1000 children in total, but the economy forced him to slow down for the past few years.

As a retired war veteran he does not work, as his main priority is to satisfy his wives, he says. He hopes to complete a polygamy project he started in 1983 and has no intentions of stopping until he dies. Polygamy is common in Zimbabwe.

He claims that he is not experiencing any financial strain for raising over 150 children.

Instead, he is benefiting from it.

"My children spoil me. I am constantly receiving gifts and cash from them and my step-sons.," he says.

Every one of his wives cooks for him daily, but he will only eat the best meals, and anything he feels is below standard gets thrown away, he adds.

When it comes to sleeping arrangements, the elderly father says he designed a schedule that allows him to satisfy four of his wives per night at least.

"I am strong and feel as strong as I was when I was 18," he says. "There is no magic but a sound mind. To me every wife is a new person. It feels different."

"This is my job. I have no other job," he adds.

Nyandoro says that he noted that his older wives are not always interested in having sex. However, all of his wives are extremely happy with their lives.

Polyandry: MPs erupt over law allowing SA women to have two husbands – The South African

Posted: at 6:19 am

In sickness, and in health and in blazing rows inside Parliament. DA Chief Whip Natasha Mazzone lost her temper with Al-Jamaah leader Ganief Hendricks, after he opposed legislation that would allow women to practice polyandry the term which refers to the act of female citizens taking multiple husbands.

Polygamy itself is nothing new to South Africa but the system is entirely skewed in favour of patriarchal figures. Men are allowed, even encouraged in some cultures, to take several wives. But doing things the other way round remains illegal.

That could change very, very soon though. Home Affairs have introduced a new Green Paper for the Marriage Act, which would elevate polyandry to the same legal status as its historical equivalent. The bill is expected to pass in the National Assembly, but Al-Jamaah who hold one seat in Parliament wont let that happen without a fight.

I am very concerned by the provision in the Green Paper of the Marriage Act where women are allowed to take more than one husband. You can imagine when a child is born, more DNA tests will be needed to discover who the father is. That backlog is going to grow! The problem is only going to get worse | Garief Hendricks

Hendricks utterances left Natasha Mazzone fuming. She immediately insisted that the MP who she refused to call honourable must be investigated by the Parliamentary Ethics Committee for using sexist language. She even made things personal, by bringing the party leaders wife into the argument.

I have to interrupt the last speaker, who is not honourable, has insulted every woman in this country by rejecting a females right to have multiple husbands when men can have multiple wives. It is not right, in 2021, to have people in Parliament says disgraceful things like that. He will be referred to the Ethics Committe.

The only woman who could possibly agree with him in this country, is his own wife.

Mazzone was told to mind her language by the House Speaker, who also flagged the senior politician for crossing a boundary with her outrage. Tsenoli confirmed that Parliament would review the comments made by Ganief Hendricks. You can watch the full video here, with the confrontation surfacing at 2:36:30.

Misheck Nyandoro, 66, says he has 151 children and is getting ready to marry his 17th wife

A father-of-151 claims he doesnt work because his full-time job is satisfying his 16 wives.

Misheck Nyandoro, 66, says he sleeps with four of his wives every night and is even getting ready to marry his 17th bride.

The retired war veteran from Zimbabwe boasted about his polygamy project that started 38 years ago, telling local newspaper The Herald: What Im doing here is completing my project.

A polygamy project that I started in 1983 and dont intend to stop until death takes me away.

If he could manage it, the serial husband said he would marry 100 women and have 1,000 children.

To help him organise his full-time job, Nyandoro has designed a schedule for the complex sleeping arrangements.

He said: I go to the bedrooms that I have on my schedule. I then satisfy my wife and move onto the next room.

This is my job. I have no other job.

He added: I alter my behaviour in the bedroom to suit the age of each of my wives. I dont act the same with the young ones as I do with the older ones.

He also claims not to feel the financial burden of having more than 150 children and says he is actually benefitting from the giant family.

My children spoil me, he said. Im constantly receiving gifts and cash from them and my step-sons.

The polygamist claims all of his wives are extremely happy but he plans to marry more younger women as his older wives complain about him demanding too much sex.

He said: Every one of my wives cooks for me daily but the rule is that I only eat delicious food, anything I feel is below standard gets thrown away.

They know the rules, he added. They have promised not to get angry when I send their food back.

Anything sent back should be a lesson that helps them improve.

Polyandry: If a woman is shared by three men and they all want her the same night, whats going to happen? asks Meshoe – The South African

Posted: at 6:18 am

Just a day after Democratic Alliance (DA) Member of Parliament Natasha Mazzone exploded after a fellow MP made, what she perceived as, sexist remarks. Another MP, the African Christian Democratic Partys (ACDP) Reverend Kenneth Meshoe threw his hat in the ring with some eyebrow-raising statements made during a live television interview on eNCA.

Both incidents follow in the wake of the news that the government is considering legalising polyandry a form of polygamy, which allows a woman to marry two or more husbands.

At present, polygamy is reserved for men but in an attempt to promote the equality espoused by our Constitution, the Department of Home Affairs recently published a Green Paper on marriages that proposes that polyandry be recognised as a legal form of marriage because the current marriage act is not truly equal.

ACDP leader Kenneth Meshoe was interviewed by eNCAs Shahan Ramkissoon on Thursday afternoon, 13 May.

The pair were discussing polyandry and to say that they were on different sides of the fence would be an understatement.

If a woman is shared by three men, as an example, and they all want her the same night, whats going to happen? said Meshoe.

Because there will come a time when one of the men will say you spend most of the time with that man and not with me and there will be conflict between the two men.

Ramkissoon explained that the reason for the proposal by the government had nothing to do with sexual relations between people and everything to do with the equality of the constitutional law.

You are trivialising a very important matter, you are talking about men fighting about when they are going to be with a woman and were talking about equality, said Ramkissoon.

Meshoe, however, was fixated with the hypothetical situation he manufactured and said he had spoken to several people both men and women who agreed with him.

Meshoe said South Africans must not take this issue of humans rights too far and that citizens have to be practical.

Now when it comes to men imagine being told you are the third man, whats that going to do to his confidence? This is not workable, this is definitely not workable.

‘Sister Wives’ Commitment Ceremony Dresses: A Guide to Their Gowns – Distractify

Posted: at 6:18 am

Those who have tuned into Sister Wives since it began airing in 2010 have watched the relationships between Kody Brown and his four wives Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn evolve significantly. Through children, cross-country moves, scandals, a global pandemic, and more, the polygamists have managed to remain (somewhat of) a family unit. But let's take a walk down memory lane for a moment and hone in on the Sister Wives commitment ceremony dresses. Because they caused some serious drama.

In Season 6, Episode 19, the Brown family prepared for and held a commitment ceremony during which Kody and his four wives re-committed themselves to their life of polygamy.

"For the past six months, we've been planning a family celebration basically, a commitment celebration where we're inaugurating our family mission statement," Kody explained. "We've been writing the statement, we've got this party planned, and now it's all coming together."

Article continues below advertisement

"In our faith, when we actually make our covenant, or what some people call our vows, we do that for eternity. It's not something we're going to renew. We are simply celebrating our family's commitment to grow together," Kody went on to say. "The celebration is actually marking the five of us and our children agreeing that we are one family. Sure, we have four marriages. But this is one family. And our homes together are one home."

Drama, of course, plagued the preparations for the celebration. Among the issues were the logistics surrounding the four dresses Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn would be wearing.

Sam, the daughter of one of Christine's friends, just graduated from design school and agreed to create the dresses for the Brown family's commitment ceremony.

"We went to her three weeks ago and said, 'Hey, can you make us four dresses from scratch?' Because, I don't know, we thought that was OK," Janelle explained. "But it's proven to be almost impossible, I feel like."

In the process of making Meri's dress, it was decided that there wasn't enough time to work out the details so she ended up purchasing a beautiful green dress, which she paired with a white shrug jacket.

Sam continued designing the dresses for Christine, Janelle, and Robyn up until the day of the commitment ceremony. That is, until it was determined last-minute that Robyn's dress just wasn't going to work either.

Article continues below advertisement

"May I be blunt?" Sam said to Robyn 30 minutes before pictures. "Do you have another dress? This is not working at all, and I would rather you walk out there with something I know is going to make you look gorgeous than just to take this simply because I've worked on it."

Robyn ended up going with a dark blue dress with sleeves that she already owned.

Article continues below advertisement

Janelle's custom-made dress was finished two hours late for photos, but it did get done. And she looked absolutely stunning in the blue form-fitting gown.

Article continues below advertisement

Christine's dress seemed to be the most straightforward design for Sam to pull off. It was a burnt orange color with a yellow sash around her waist.

Article continues below advertisement

In the end, everyone looked amazing and everything for the commitment ceremony was pulled together. The celebration itself ran very smoothly, too, despite the drama leading up to the big event.

Take a look at all four of the Sister Wives stars' dresses that were worn at their commitment ceremony.

You can stream all 15 seasons of Sister Wives on Discovery Plus.

Who is Emily on Seeking Sister Wife? Updates on Jarod and Vanessas search! – Reality Titbit – Celebrity TV News

Posted: at 6:18 am

TLCs polygamy-based series Seeking Sister Wife sees Jarod and Vanessa try to find another wife. So, who is new star Emily?

It is the show which follows couples, as they search for another wife to join their relationship or marriage, as part of a polygamy lifestyle.

Jarod and Vanessa are one couple who have allowed cameras follow their search, and it looks like Emily could become their sister wife.

So, who is Emily on Seeking Sister Wife? We done some research to find out if she officially became their wife, and to get an update on their search.

Emily is Jarod and Vanessas friend, who seems interested in their polygamous relationship.

She said she feels like she can be herself around Jarod, adding that they have the same sense of humour.

The new Seeking Sister Wife star said she recently went through a break-up, but said it was definitely a better decision.

He empathised with Emily, saying he went through a similar thing with Kaleh, who had been with Jarod and Vanessa for around three years.

Emily then asked how they could explore polygamy together, after Jarod told her all about how he has multiple wives.

Although Emily seemed to share interest in how things worked between Jarod and Vanessa, there is no sign of her on their Instagram profiles.

However, it could just be that their contract with TLC doesnt allow them to give away any potential spoilers.

The entirety of season 3 has seen Jarod trying to find a new addition to their family, which also involves four children.

Most of Jarod and Vanessas recent photos including on their family-based Instagram profile are of just them two, with a few of Kaleh from 2019.

So, judging by social media, it looks like they have not found a new wife.

Looking through the comments for the upcoming clip where Emily shows an interest in Jarod the majority of fans seem to disagree with it.

It seems as though most viewers think Jarod and Vanessa are not being genuine in their search for a potential sister wife.

One fan wrote: Hes not looking for another wife. Hes looking for a someone his wife is okay with him looking up with. Boy bye.

Another said: Girl RUN! They are looking for a toy for him and a homemaker/ baby sitter for her!

However, others have disagreed by saying they dont think Emily actually wants to join their relationship, but that shes just showing curiosity.

One commented: Hold up now pump the brakes. I think shes just curious and has questions about a lifestyle shes never seen first-hand before. That doesnt mean shes diving in head first without any floaties.
