Tech Innovation Driving Growth On Both Sides Of Michigans Border – mitechnews.com
Posted: at 7:56 pm
DETROIT The state of Michigan shares a lengthy border with Canada, measuring 721 miles. Just north of Michigan is the Canadian province of Ontario, and the total number of border crossings in Michigan ranks among the top 10 highest volumes between the United States and Canada.
The technological innovations taking place on either side of the border are noteworthy, not least of which are the border safety and security measures. According to MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation), the international border crossings between the United States and Canada are significant insofar as the largest bilateral trade relationship exists between these two countries.
According to statistics, Michigans international border crossings play a pivotal part in bilateral trade, with the sum of Canadian exports to the US making up 30 percent of the countrys GDP and an incredible 87 percent of its exports abroad. The United States generates trade volumes of $1.2 billion daily with Canada, greater than any other nation or economic bloc. The majority of trade between US and Canada comes by way of trucks, the remainder being, water, and rail. To facilitate this multi-billion dollar industry, MDOT actively invests in the most technologically sophisticated systems to fast-track the passage of goods, services, and people between both countries. Efficient processing systems are sacrosanct.
Information Technology Initiatives (ITI) are central to expediting the movement of traffic during crisis situations, emergencies, and high-volume activity. To this end, MDOT and the Department of Information Technology operate on a daily basis. Sophisticated security systems and powerful programs are in place, such as Free and Secure Trade (FAST), and NEXUS at pivotal international bridge crossings. In addition, the Michigan government collaborates with the Homeland Security Bureau of Customs and Border Protections to boost the security of operations.
The top publicly traded companies in Michigan, as of 2019 include Ford Motor Company ($155.9 billion), General Motors Corporation ($137.24 billion), Dow ($42.95 billion), Penske Automotive Group ($23.18 billion), Whirlpool ($20.42 billion), Lear ($19.81 billion), and Stryker ($14.88 billion). The chief industries are largely motor-vehicle-related, with significant trading activity between Michigan and Canada. Across the border, Ontario is renowned for its real GDP, measured at C$744.44 billion, supported largely by its 14.7 million residents. Ontario generates an estimated 40 percent of all GDP in Canada a significant proportion of economic activity. Of that, the real estate industry contributed largely to this figure, with leasing, rental, and sale of property accounting for 13 percent of Ontarios GDP
Of course, there are other burgeoning industries in Ontario, driven largely by telecommunications growth. According to Statista, the market size of gaming in Canada has been increasing since 2016, peaking at $14.72 billion in 2019 and dropping slightly to $14.08 billion in 2020. Leading the way are scores are reputable operators where players can find the best online slots games in Canada, along with card games, table games, and jackpot games. The size of the virtual global gaming market according to Globenewswire, is expected to hit $158.20 billion by 2028, with a compound annual growth rate of 11.4 percent in that time.
In 2020, Fortune Business Insights estimated the size of the global online gambling market at $66.72 billion. Interestingly enough, a New York University article found that digital gambling platforms have rapidly gained favor in Canada since 2020, with surging levels of popularity reported.
According to that study, online casino games have been gaining momentum since 2020, with legal-age Canadians taking to slots, card games, and table games with increasing alacrity. Online casino operators are now generating substantial revenues in Canada. This is being boosted by the increasing liberalization of online gambling activity south of the Canadian border too. Since online gambling is fully legal in Michigan (it was signed into law in December 2019 by Governor Gretchen Whitmer) this industry now serves people on both sides of the border. Michigan is considered a front-runner, thanks to the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, which is expected to generate significant revenues in the state. Online sports betting and online casino games are fully legal to players in Michigan.
Michigan also ranks highly as one of the fastest growing e-commerce small business states. Many e-commerce start-ups in the state have now set up shop in Detroit, and are maximizing business activity accordingly. Big-name enterprises such as Walmart are fully operational in Michigan with major online operations. The top e-commerce development companies in Michigan have been boosted by way of broadband Internet connectivity, as attested to by the Grand Rapids area Chamber of Commerce. Popular malls such as Woodland Mall have made e-commerce a fundamental component of their revenue streams. The entertainment sector is certainly benefiting, as evidenced by strong growth trends in online gaming, online streaming of movies and music services, et al.

Slurpee And A Parlay? 7-Eleven Among Michigan Gambling Deposit Options – Play Michigan
Posted: June 4, 2021 at 3:17 pm
Anyone who watches television, listens to the radio or otherwise exists in Michigan is quite familiar with the arms race online gambling operators are fighting to gain new customers.
But under the surface, theres also competition in business-to-business circles throughout the industry.
One contested subsection of the sector is online gambling payment options. New companies, partnerships and digital options are popping up by the week.
Plus, you can now fund your Michigan sports betting bankroll while getting a Slurpee at 7-Eleven, or pad your MI online casino account while filling a CVS prescription.
While you cant place bets with local store clerks, you can now fund some gambling accounts at all 7-Eleven, CVS and Family Dollar through PayNearMe.
PayNearMe retail deposits were approved recently in Michigan by the Michigan Gaming Control Board and the option was live Thursday with FanDuel Casino.
Jeremy Enke of PayNearMe said several operators will have PayNearMe options available.
You cant create add to your online gambling payment options through retailers. But through your account, head to the Cashier section to find the PayNearMe option.
There, you select the amount you will deposit (up to $500 at FanDuel) and print a barcode, or have it sent to your phone. You can look up the nearest retailer through the FanDuel cashier while planning your deposit.
To be clear, after depositing money at retailers, you would place the actual bet through the gambling app or website, not your local cashier.
With online gambling launching Jan. 22 in Michigan, operators were accepting money however they could. That process meant making deals with a handful of payment companies.
But as the market matures, operators are looking for one-stop payment providers that can provide customers with all options.
PayNearMe aims to fill that void, Enke said.
From a company standpoint, being on the forefront of what operators need, Enke said. And more importantly, from a players perspective.
The speed of transactions is increasing industry-wide, Enke said, adding that PayNearMes push-to-debit withdrawal product offers a same-day cycle on deposits, bets and withdrawals.
PayNearMe already offers Apple Pay and Google Pay options, Enke said, and will soon add PayPal and Venmo options.
Enke said PayNearMe is also exploring the reverse of whats now available, enabling customers to pick up cash at local retailers through account withdrawals.
One competitor has moved toward streamlining, as Paysafe announced Thursday an expanded partnership with Golden Nugget Online Casino in Michigan.
Paysafe allows Golden Nugget players to link online banking accounts and fund accounts with credit and debit cards. Golden Nugget players can also use PayPal and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions through Global Payments Gaming Solutions.
Paysafe, which has been partnered in New Jersey with Golden Nugget since the 2013 online launch there, said it will launch with the operator in West Virginia and Pennsylvania later this year.
Like every U.S. iGaming operator, getting payments right has always been an important focus for us, said Thomas Winter, president of Golden Nugget Online Gaming. Our partnership with Paysafe in New Jersey has helped us streamline and improve payments for us and our customers, and so when we chose to enter the bigger market of Michigan, extending the partnership was an easy choice that made sound business sense.
Paysafe and PayNearMe have a wide range of competitors authorized in Michigan, including Skrill, Sightline Payments and OBeP Payments, among others.
Different companies offer different services, and operators are trying to figure out the best solutions for online gambling payment options in real time.
It it a little bit of a disjointed market right now, Enke said. Thats where were seeing now, 2021 and beyond, is how do we make this easier for operators? The past few years, its just been a land grab.
But stepping back a little, theyre like, Why are we working with six different payment providers, with six or seven different reconciliations at the end of the month?
We saw that as an opportunity about a year or so ago to come in and say, heres a problem with the gaming industry right now that is not necessarily transparent on the players side. But a lot of the bigger companies we talk to, (bringing all payments under one company) is resonating very well with them.
Many operators, including BetRivers Casino, DraftKings Casino and FanDuel, also offer prepaid Play+ credit cards as an option.
Another competitor for PayNearMes cash depositing, which is what Enke said put the company on the map, is retail casinos.
FanDuel recently ran a 50% matching bonus promotion for funds deposited in-person at the FanDuel Sportsbook at MotorCity Casino cage in Detroit.
To be eligible, it needed to be your first Cash at Counter deposit. There was a $250 maximum bonus for the promotion, and bonus funds needed to be wagered within a week.
The promotion has ended, but you can still link your MotorCity Casino Club Metro card to your FanDuel account. There, you can rack up Signature Points, comps and more, according to the FanDuel site.

Playing with an Online Casino? Here are 7 Facts to Know – The Jerusalem Post
Posted: at 3:17 pm
Believe it or not, the concept of online casinos has revolutionized how we gamble today. All your favorite casino games are just a few seconds away sign in via your smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection, and you are ready to get started from anywhere in the world.
While the temptation of online casinos might seem irresistible, it is important that you do your homework right. Here are seven facts that you should know about online casinos.
1. Know their Withdrawal Policy
It is relatively straightforward to get started with an online casino. Sign up and make an initial deposit via PayPal, credit card, or cryptocurrency and you can start playing your first game easily. But when it comes to withdrawing your winning amount, they may have a stringent policy. They have different withdrawal schedules and it may take days to process the request. Some online casinos would also require you to withdraw money only when you have a certain amount in your PayPal account.
2. Love Slots? Online Casino is the Way to Go
For slot enthusiasts, online casinos offer an enthralling experience you have literally unlimited space to spin the reel, unlike land-based casinos where you have space restrictions. More interestingly, you have thousands of games to choose from and in different denominations. This further increases your chances of enjoying a game. Additionally, youll love how smoothly you can switch from one game to another.
3. Winning Odds do Match Land-Based Casinos
4. You have Tons of Free Games Online
One of the best things about online casinos is you have a wide range of games to play for free. Yes; you heard that right. Free games! Since gambling in casino games come with a risk, it is better to get started with free games to gain more experience. This will help you learn the game better and avoid costly mistakes before you play for real money. So, instead of bleeding money without knowing a game, playing for free can help extend the bankroll.
5. Not all Online Casinos are Legalized
Before you rush to sign up with an online casino and make an initial deposit, make sure you have thoroughly read and understood the states laws pertaining to an online casino. While most states have legalized online casino gambling, there are many that still operate in the grey area. Therefore, it is important to be careful when choosing an online casino.
6. Online Casinos have a Higher Return to Player Percentage
Earlier we have discussed that game odds in an online casino are quite similar to that in land-based casinos. Most of the time, this is true, especially for slots. Online slots have a much higher RTP percentage than slots in brick-and-mortar establishments. Online casinos are dramatically cheaper to operate and as such, they can afford to translate these cost savings in the form of payout to the players.
7. Online Casinos are Secure
If you think that online casinos are there to trick you and get your money, then you are mistaken. They operate under a regulated industry and most states require them to have a license to function legally. A good online casino also takes required measures to ensure you can access their website or app most securely, protecting your private data and money. So, you should consider choosing a reputable online casino.
Knowing the above facts will help you avoid pitfalls and improve your experience with an online casino.

Betting On In-State College Games In NJ Seems Headed To The Voters – NJ Online Gambling
Posted: at 3:17 pm
After three years of widespread legal sports betting, New Jersey-based gamblers on Thursday grew ever closer to being able to bet on Rutgers football games, Seton Hall basketball contests, and other competitions involving state schools.
The state Senate in a three-hour session punctuated by occasional angry political comments from lawmakers and by loud protests outside the Senate chambers that could be heard on a Zoom feed passed a continuing resolution to approve a statewide sports betting referendum this fall.
The vote was 36-1, with conservative Republican Michael Doherty of Warren County the lone no vote. Resolution co-sponsor Paul Sarlo, D-Bergen, told NJ Online Gamblingafter the vote that his colleagues in the state Assembly have assured him that the full Assembly would put the measure up for a vote before the end of June.
That timing is important for several reasons. The technical review for ballot questions and the need to print ballots well in advance of the Nov. 2 elections means that lawmakers say the legislature needs to pass the resolutions by mid-year.Also, the legislature traditionally takes the months of July and August off completely, adding to the urgency.
The resolution, which was first introduced last October, runs just six pages.
Wagering shall not be permitted on a college sport or athletic event that takes place in New Jersey or on a sport or athletic event in which any New Jersey college team participates regardless of where the event takes place, the law already reads, with the amendment adding, except that it shall be lawful for the Legislature to authorize by law wagering at casinos or gambling houses in Atlantic City on the results of any college sport or athletic event that is a tournament, playoff, championship, or other postseason competition that takes place in New Jersey, including any such event in which a New Jersey college team participates, and that is sanctioned by a nonprofit collegiate athletic association led by its members.
Another new clause clarifies that the states three racetracks and its mobile sports betting partners will have the same new options.
The interpretive statement proposed for the ballot that many voters will rely on is scheduled to read:
Currently, the State Constitution prohibits wagering on college sport or athletic events taking place in New Jersey. It also prohibits wagering on an event in which a New Jersey college team participates. This amendment would allow the Legislature to pass laws permitting wagering on any college sport or athletic event.
It would permit wagering even if a New Jersey college team participates in the competition. Such wagering would be permitted only through casinos and current or former horse racetracks.
The only late-2021 sport that might interest the almost two dozen mobile sportsbooks in the state would be Rutgers football, the states only top-level program in that sport.
The Scarlet Knights will play eight of their 12 regular-season games, however, before the vote is even taken.
Also, even if the issue lands on the Nov. 2 ballot and even if it passes, lawmakers would have to establish enabling legislation before the first college bets are taken.
The widespread support for legal gambling expansion measures dates back even before 2013, when New Jersey joined Delaware as the first states to permit online casino gaming.
But even with a willing legislature, the Nov. 6 game against Wisconsin and another at Indiana a week later would seem to be unlikely legal betting targets. That would just leave the Nov. 20 game at Penn State and the home finale vs. Maryland on Nov. 27.
How quickly the required legislation passes and goes to Gov. Phil Murphys desk realistically may depend on how well the Scarlet Knights season has gone. But if the team wins at least half its games, Rutgers would wind up in a postseason bowl game likely in late December or the first week of January.
When Sarlo looked into ways around the previous in-state college prohibition last year, he initially merely sought to pave the way for out-of-state visitors who come to the Prudential Center in Newark for mens college basketball March Madness in 2025.
But Sarlo found that, a few years after New Jersey defeated the NCAA and four pro sports leagues at the U.S. Supreme Court to open the door for any state to feature Las Vegas-style legal sports betting, opposition from both the NCAA and the college athletic programs in the state had all but disappeared.
So Sarlos goal for the launch of in-state college betting has centered more on next springs so-called Madness, with the state having eight eligible mens basketball programs.
The ban on in-state games, former state Sen. Ray Lesniak has said, came about because a decade ago he was anxious to get a sports betting law passed for the specific purpose of luring the sports organizations to sue. Lesniak was convinced he would prevail in court and while it took six years, he was right.
The 2011 referendum allowing racetracks and Atlantic City casinos to feature sports betting in spite of a 1992 federal law that expressly barred such activity outside of Nevada was approved by nearly a 2-to-1 margin. With New Jersey having taken in more in sports bets than any other state in the past three years including Nevada at $15 billion in three full years, and without significant negative publicity about the gambling, this latest ballot question seems like close to a sure thing for passage.
The state Senate unanimously approved another bill on Thursday that revamps the way that promotional gaming credits are taxed.
Under the bill, the first $12 million of promotional gaming credits for Internet sports wagering issued by all casinos and racetracks that hold a sports wagering license would still be taxed, but any amount in excess would be deductible from the gross revenues for Internet sports wagering.
Bill proponents hope that the states larger mobile sportsbook operators such as PointsBet or FanDuel will be incentivized to expand their efforts to market to potential new players. Thats because beyond the $12 million spending mark, no additional tax is levied.
And a new gambler who signs up, for example, for a promotion where they deposit $500 and the operator matches that amount into their account presumably, in the long run, becomes a revenue-producer for the operator leading, in turn, to more tax revenue for the state.
Another bill that passed without a dissenting vote in the Senate on Thursday permits bingo games and raffles to be held remotely rather than only in-person. The bill was introduced last summer amid the COVID-19 pandemic and passed the Assembly in March, and will land on Murphys desk even as the pandemic continues to wane.
Doherty, who was opposed to the 2013 online casino gaming bill that became law, was the lone no vote Thursday on a bill that provides some temporary tax relief to Atlantic City casinos that were hit hard by pandemic-related closures and then only partial reopenings.
Finally, a horse racing bill was cleared out of a Senate committee on Thursday morning, hours before the full Senate votes.
That bill, backed by the states horsemen, would require continuation of live harness racingfor standardbred racetracks that hold a sports wagering license sort of a harness racing insurance policy.
The Meadowlands Racetrack and Freehold Raceway would be required to offer at least 151 racing dates annually to continue to take sports bets, except that the annual number of scheduled standardbred race dates may be decreased to no fewer than 75 standardbred race dates upon written consent from the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey.
The Legislature recognizes the importance of the horse racing industry to this State, which includes generating millions of dollars in agribusiness and tax revenue, thousands of jobs, and support for thousands of acres of productive agricultural open space.
This bill seeks to protect this industry and the benefits to the State of racingrelated training and breeding farms by ensuring the continuation of live horse racing for racetracks that operate sports pools. The bill is limited to standardbred racetracks only, in recognition of the inherent incentive to continue live horse racing that exists when a horsemens association operates the racetrack, as is currently the case with thoroughbred racetracks.
Two weeks ago, a pair of state Assembly committees advanced a bill that would allow for fixed odds wagering on horse race bets placed in the state.
The new method, unlike the traditional parimutuel model, sets the exact odds that a bettor will receive at the moment of the wager just as is the case with sports betting. Fixed odds wagering has proven very popular in Australia and in the United Kingdom, but many racetrack officials have expressed concerns that it might cannibalize parimutuel handle while also spinning off less revenue for the tracks.
A source familiar with the bill told NJ Online GamblingThursday that the states thoroughbred and standardbred industry leaders continue to negotiate revenue-sharing for fixed odds a topic that grew mildly contentious during one of those remote May 19 committee hearings.
Still, the goal is for votes in both chambers as soon as possible, given that Monmouth Park officials who at least initially would go along with fixed odds would like to have the betting in place ahead of the $1 million TVG.com Haskell Stakes race day at the Oceanport track on July 17.

Where Does the Maryland Online Gambling Bill Currently Stand? – The Southern Maryland Chronicle
Posted: at 3:17 pm
The internets newest invention allows gambler enthusiasts to enter an online world of gambling. And Maryland has its fair shares of gambler enthusiasts. Marylanders have been anticipating the legalization of online casinos for a very long time, so where does the Maryland online gambling bill currently stand?
Sports betting is undoubtedly one of the most popular forms of gambling in the world, and Maryland is no exception. Maryland has a very strong fan base for its local sports teams, and they are more than happy to hear that online sports betting will be available very soon.
By now, you probably know that in April of 2021, the Senate and House set rules for sports betting in Maryland and voted to pass the bill HB940. And all Marylanders were waiting for Governor Larry Hogan to sign the bill.
Well, in May of 2021, Governor Larry Hogan signed sports betting in MD into law. So sports enthusiasts can be happy to know that sports betting will launch in the next few months.
Some of the sportsbooks that will most probably launch by the end of 2021 are:
If you are interested in a guide to Maryland online gambling,go to online-gambling.comwhere you will find all the necessary information on gambling laws in Maryland as well as what is currently legal and illegal in this state.
Believe it or not, Maryland didnt even have any regular casinos up until a few years ago. Today, there are six casinos located around the state. And even though online gambling is growing in popularity each day, its difficult to say whether online casinos are more popular than regular casinos.
However, if theres one thing that can be said with certainty, its that the impactof the sportsbetting bill can already be seen in Maryland.
Some people even say that Marylandsgambling laws are outdated, but it can be said that they are slowly but surely catching up with the rest of the world.
If we look at all the benefits online casinos have, thats a good reason to believe they are more popular.
The convenience that online casinos offer to their players is by far the number one reason for their extreme growth over the last couple of years. Besides that, the huge variety of games, as well as the variety of withdrawal options and 24/7 customer services, are just a few other benefits that the online casino industry has over the regular casino.
If theres one thing that you should pay attention to when gambling online, its to ensure the safety of your personal information as well as make sure that you dont overspend. And that can be easily achieved by following these steps.
First, you need to make sure that you put bets through reputable sites. There are many scams out therethat want to trick you and then misuse your information. So its best to do a thorough research of the website you wish to make bets on.
You can do that by entering the casinos homepage and looking for a license that should be displayed on any legitimate and legal online gambling site.
Second, you need to make sure that you keep track of how much money you are spending. Online casinos are entertaining but at the same time very addictive. So its easy to get carried away both with money and time.
Another way you can prevent spending crazy amounts of money is by only playing games that you know and understand. If you are eager to try out a new game, plenty of sites offer new and exciting games for free, so take advantage of that.
Finally, if you want to ensure the safety of your data, its very important that you keep your account information private. Also, its recommended that you change your password from time to time.

Secure Your Online Gambling Sessions with These Easy Steps – TechSpective

Online gambling has seen an all-time rise in recent years, thanks to the current global situation. And with many online gambling sites like CasinoBernie free spins seeing constant high traffic, they have become a prime target for hackers and scammers alike. To secure your online casino moments, I prepared some simple and practical steps you can do that will give you peace of mind.
Whether youre into sports betting or online casino games, its important to check the legitimacy of the site youre playing at. Nothing feels worse than losing not only your winnings but your bank savings as well.
Some of the things you can look out for on an online gambling or betting site are:
When an online gambling site does not meet some or most of these marks, take it as a red flag and look for another site to play at.
Virtual Private Networks or VPNs are a great way to keep your IP address masked while giving you access to online casinos that could be geo-restricted in your location. Most VPN providers also offer fast internet access, Wi-Fi protection, and strong data encryption, ensuring your play sessions wont lag anytime soon.
With a VPN, you can change your location to almost anywhere in the world and transfer your web traffic to that locations server, making it difficult for potential hackers to track you down. However, before going using a VPN to access these sites, make sure to check your local laws regarding online gambling activity to avoid legal issues.
Along with using VPN servers, it is also important to keep your devices security programs up to date. Some unwanted people could get access to your device through spyware that is downloaded via an illegitimate gambling site.
Most devices have preinstalled antivirus, antispyware, and firewall protection programs, though they might be outdated if not regularly maintained. You can also subscribe to reputable antivirus providers in the market, with some even offering high-end protection to secure your devices while playing your favorite online casino games.
Phishing is a popular trick in the book for online scammers and hackers, wherein they use the identity of a legitimate institution to get your personal information. In this case, you may receive some emails or text messages that say theyre from the online casino you recently visited. The messages will ask for your details, including login, password, and even your credit card number, with a promise of rewards or cash backs.
When you see messages like this, you better disregard the message or contact the site directly to check. Always remember that legitimate companies will never ask for your personal information over email or text messages, especially your password or credit card details. Additionally, check the website it redirects you to and compare it with the site it claims to be. Chances are, they will be a bit off.
Staying safe when playing online casino games or online betting lets you enjoy the sessions without worrying about your security. By taking these simple steps, you are one step closer to making the most out of your time and winning your games.

Connecticut governor signs online gambling bill into law – World Casino Directory
Posted: at 3:17 pm
Just a few days ago, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont signed House Bill 6451 into law. Online sports betting, casino, and poker games are now legalized in the state. The change is a big one for the poker community, as online poker is often left out of iGaming legislation in the US. Connecticut is now the 7th state in the US to have regulated iPoker gaming.
Class III Gaming Compact Changes
With the new legislation, the Class III gaming compact of the Mohegan Tribe and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe is changed. These tribes are responsible for the Mohegan Sun Casino and the Foxwoods facility in the state.
Both tribes will be allowed to offer all formats of online gaming, including poker. It is still unclear as to how the tribes will offer poker gaming. Will they try to keep operations in-house and go with a proprietary platform?
Perhaps the tribes will decide to work with a top operator in the online poker industry such as PokerStars or partypoker? Right now, no information has been provided as to what the tribes plan on doing when it comes to online poker services.
There is no doubt that major companies like PokerStars will hope to be able to enter into the state of Connecticut. It will be interesting to watch and see which brands try to garner the attention of the Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes for a potential partnership.
In a press release, Governor Lamont commented on the law by stating:
By signing this bill into law, Connecticut is now on the cusp of providing a modern, technologically advanced gaming experience that will be competitive with our neighboring states and positions us for success into the future.
Moving Forward
There is still legal action to consider even though the bill has been signed into law. The Bureau of Indian Affairs within the U.S. Department of Interior must still approve the tribal compact amendments. When the approval is given, the tribes can then start to set up the new services in the state.
The tribes look forward to getting started as the new services will help tribal members as well as the residents of the state. Rodney Butler, the Chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot tribe pointed out that gaming is more than business to the tribe. The services help the tribe to fund its government, pay for the education needs of children, as well as care for the elderly. Funds are also used to provide healthcare to tribal members.

Top-Rated Pay Per Head Sites Flourish With Online Gambling Growth – The Tico Times
Posted: at 3:17 pm
The coronavirus pandemic had a major impact on the casino and sports betting industry for most of last year. Land-based casinos and retail sportsbooks lost a large chunk of business through business shutdowns followed by capacity restrictions that lingered into this year.
The lone bright side to the situation was the explosion in growth of online casino and sportsbook sites. This also proved to be a major financial boon to independent bookmakers working closely with a top-rated pay per head bookie services site.
Referred to as the pay per head industry, bookie services sites provide everything needed to fully automate an independent bookmaking business while also running and managing it online. They only charge a weekly fee for active betting customers.
The first pay per head sites started offering proprietary software solutions to local bookies around the same time the first commercial offshore sportsbooks expanded their reach through online betting platforms that could cater to the US market.
While similar in nature, pay per head sites gave private bookies the ability to level the playing field against the big commercial books. The primary reason why the private bookie industry continues to thrive today with the help of PPH services is the higher level of customer service and personal attention to detail that they can provide and the big commercial sportsbooks can never match.
To this day, Costa Rica remains the center of the universe for pay per head bookie services. Top-rated sites such as Real Bookies, PayPerHead247 and A1 Price Per Head are all based in this country.
The ownership group behind these top-rated sites have strong ties to Costa Rica and the countrys favorable business climate. This high level of stability has created the proper environment for the entire pay per head industry to thrive given the rapid shift towards online gambling in general.
In the same vein as offshore sportsbooks operating an online betting platform, PPH services give private bookies the necessary software solutions to turn a sports betting business into an online gambling site covering multiple verticals.
Sports Betting
Sports betting still generates the bulk of the revenue earned by private bookies. Football and basketball remain the biggest draws, especially when it comes to the NFL and NBA as major professional sports leagues.
However, a pay per head site gives bookies the chance to fully build-out a betting board with access to numerous sports and sporting events. Most of the top per head sites employ in-house sports betting experts while also working with the best external line setting services to generate a wide variety of betting options on a daily basis.
Along with fast and easy access to a wide array of betting lines and odds, private bookies also have access to the proper software tools to manage that betting board. This takes all the guess work out of moving lines, making changes to the board and adjusting betting and credit limits.
Racebook for Horse Betting
The popularity of horse racing received a huge boost last year as one of the only live sporting events to bet on. Pay per head racebook solutions for horse betting offer easy access to any race track running a live daily card.
Considering that there are more than 70 race tracks in North America alone, this added stream of revenue can boost both cash flow and net profit on a year-round basis. This can really pay some big dividends when major betting events such as the Triple Crown racing series and the Breeders Cup are on the board.
Online Casino
Todays highly sophisticated casino software solutions give bookies the chance to offer Las Vegas-style slots and table games as part of an online gaming menu. This includes access to live-dealer table games such as Blackjack and Roulette.
Online casino games create another viable revenue stream that can help supplement income during any lulls in the sports betting calendar. The quality of todays online casino game actually bring the gap between land-based venues and a bookies online casino site.
Online Poker Room
More and more pay per head sites are including online poker room software solutions as part of their weekly bookie services plan. Online poker continues to grow in popularity with a daily schedule of live tournament action.
Texas Holdem remains the biggest draw. However, poker variants such as Omaha and Seven-Card Stud are also very popular among avid online poker players.
The Pay Per Head Edge
Private bookies who are serious about building and growing a highly lucrative online gambling business fully understand the benefit of working with a quality pay per head bookie services provider.
It still takes hard work and dedication to make a solid living as a private bookie. However, there has never been a better time to get started with the help of a quality pay per head site to reach and hopefully exceed any financial goals that have been set.
