89-Year-Old Woman Airlifted From Oceania Insignia – Travel Agent
Posted: July 11, 2017 at 10:35 pm
The Coast Guard airlifted an 89-year-old woman from Oceania Cruises Insignia Saturday evening, the CT Post reports. At the time the ship was 80 miles southeast of Cape Lookout, North Carolina.
According to The Carteret County News-Times, the woman was experiencing symptoms characteristic of a heart attack. The captain of the Insignia notified Coast Guard authorities in Portsmouth, and an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter was launched from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, NC, arriving at the ship at approximately 6:15 p.m. The helicopter crew then hoisted the woman from the ship and flew her to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, accompanied by the cruise ships nurse. The woman arrived at the hospital at approximately 8 p.m.
The cooperation between the crew of the Insignia and our watchstanders ensured that the Coast Guard was informed of a life-threatening situation aboard, Lt. j.g. Dan Dunn, watchstander at the 5th District Command Center, told CBS North Carolina. The crew helped the aircrew transport this woman to the appropriate medical facility in a timely manner.
The Insignia is a 700-passenger luxury cruise ship from Oceania Cruises. It most recently underwent a dry dock in 2014. The $50 million, two-year project added many of the interior design elements from the newer Marina and Riviera to the ship, adding new furnishings and dcor to all public rooms, suites and staterooms. Insignia also added the Baristas coffee bar, a cook-to-order grill at Terrace Caf, and a new outdoor recreation area on the Sports Deck.

Greatest Rivalry in Sport is Rekindled
The 2017 Oceania Junior Motocross Challenge
JULY 12, 2017: There is perhaps no greater international sporting rivalry than the one that exists between Pacific Ocean near-neighbours Australia and New Zealand.
Whether it is on the rugby field, the football pitch or the netball court, the love-hate relationship between sporting teams from Australia and New Zealand has flourished over the years and now the battle will again extend to motocross tracks in the two countries.
Australia and New Zealand are separated by just a short hop across the Tasman Sea and, until recent years, had regularly gone into battle with the Oceania Motocross Championships.
This competition has now been resurrected this year, for the juniors at least, and the 2017 FIM Oceania Junior Motocross Challenge will be held in Horsham, in Victoria, on the weekend of September 30-October 6, as a part of the Australian Junior Motocross Championships.
New Zealanders entered in the event will be "matched up" with an equal number of Australia riders at the event, also aligned by age and category, and this will constitute the teams representing the two rival countries.
It will showcase both Australia's and New Zealands best up and coming junior motocross talent at the renowned event, with plenty of pride on the line.
FIM Oceania and Motorcycling New Zealand Board member Ray Broad, of Ngatea, said the building of the FIM Oceania relationship between Australia and New Zealand was "quite important".
"Were putting in the necessary steps in place to bring that relationship to the next level, and focusing on junior development has been the priority. The FIM Oceania Junior Motocross Challenge is the natural progression of that relationship.
"Just to keep things simple, any New Zealand rider who enters the Australian junior nationals will see their points go towards the Oceania Junior Motocross Challenge and the Australians will match us with an equal number of riders.
"We have already been approached by one New Zealand club keen to host this event next year. Once we see what Australia riders cross the Tasman to face us next year, we'll then form a New Zealand squad.
"We want to give our support to riders who want to compete at this level, perhaps above where they'd normally ride, and it will put them a little bit outside their comfort zone.
"There is a great spirit between Australians and New Zealanders and it will be good to get behind that. It's a reciprocal thing the Australians will assist the Kiwis and we'll get behind the Australian riders who come our way, supporting them financially."
FIM Oceania President Glen Williams, who is also Motorcycling New Zealand's president, described the development as "exciting".
"The riders are also extremely excited to be a part of a team and to be competing in an intercontinental championship, rather than just an internal championship.
The Australian Junior Motocross Championships is one of the largest motorcycle events by numbers, so it's a phenomenal opportunity for the FIM Oceania to be involved in. The event also fosters junior development and develops the motocross stars of tomorrow," Williams said.

Posted: at 10:35 pm
The Return on Invested Capital (aka ROIC) Score for Oceania Healthcare Limited (NZSE:OCA) is -0.130377. The Return on Invested Capital is a ratio that determines whether a company is profitable or not. It tells investors how well a company is turning their capital into profits. The ROIC is calculated by dividing the net operating profit (or EBIT) by the employed capital. The employed capital is calculated by subrating current liabilities from total assets. Similarly, the Return on Invested Capital Quality ratio is a tool in evaluating the quality of a companys ROIC over the course of five years. This is calculated by dividing the five year average ROIC by the Standard Deviation of the 5 year ROIC. The ROIC 5 year average is calculated using the five year average EBIT, five year average (net working capital and net fixed assets).
We can now take a quick look at some historical stock price index data. Oceania Healthcare Limited (NZSE:OCA) presently has a 10 month price index of 1.08861. The price index is calculated by dividing the current share price by the share price ten months ago. A ratio over one indicates an increase in share price over the period. A ratio lower than one shows that the price has decreased over that time period. Looking at some alternate time periods, the 12 month price index is 1.08861, the 24 month is 1.08861, and the 36 month is 1.08861. Narrowing in a bit closer, the 5 month price index is 1.08861, the 3 month is 1.08861, and the 1 month is currently 1.04878.
Ratios Oceania Healthcare Limited (NZSE:OCA) has a Price to Book ratio of 6.461218. This ratio is calculated by dividing the current share price by the book value per share. Investors may use Price to Book to display how the market portrays the value of a stock. The P/E ratio is one of the most common ratios used for figuring out whether a company is overvalued or undervalued.
Checking in on some valuation rankings, Oceania Healthcare Limited (NZSE:OCA) has a Value Composite score of 71. Developed by James OShaughnessy, the VC score uses five valuation ratios. These ratios are price to earnings, price to cash flow, EBITDA to EV, price to book value, and price to sales. The VC is displayed as a number between 1 and 100. In general, a company with a score closer to 0 would be seen as undervalued, and a score closer to 100 would indicate an overvalued company. Adding a sixth ratio, shareholder yield, we can view the Value Composite 2 score which is currently sitting at 66.
Watching some historical volatility numbers on shares of Oceania Healthcare Limited (NZSE:OCA), we can see that the 12 month volatility is presently 0.000000. The 6 month volatility is 0.000000, and the 3 month is spotted at 0.000000. Following volatility data can help measure how much the stock price has fluctuated over the specified time period. Although past volatility action may help project future stock volatility, it may also be vastly different when taking into account other factors that may be driving price action during the measured time period.
Score The Gross Margin Score is calculated by looking at the Gross Margin and the overall stability of the company over the course of 8 years. The score is a number between one and one hundred (1 being best and 100 being the worst). The Gross Margin Score of Oceania Healthcare Limited (NZSE:OCA) is 26.00000. The more stable the company, the lower the score. If a company is less stable over the course of time, they will have a higher score.

Maglione receives support from Africa, Asia and Oceania for FINA Presidential bid – Insidethegames.biz (blog)
Posted: July 9, 2017 at 12:34 pm
Delegates from Africa, Asia and Oceania have been urged to vote for Julio Maglione at this month's International Swimming Federation (FINA) Presidential election after letters were circulated throughout all three continents.
Letters written by the respective Presidents of all three continental bodies repeatedly criticise the Uruguayan incumbent's sole opponent for the top job in the sport, Italy's European Swimming Federation (LEN) head Paolo Barelli.
In what appears to be a coordinated strategy, Maglione himself has also sent a letter throughout the aquatics community in which he outlined achievements enjoyed under his watch before claiming that "nobody is able to damage" the solidarity of the FINA "family".
It comes as campaigning intensifies before an election scheduled for the FINA Congress in Budapest on July 22.
"We are a big family, we respect each other, we are strongly united and nobody is able to damage this solidarity," Maglione, who is standing for a third term in office, wrote in his letter seen byinsidethegames.
"We are quite well, in an excellent position.
"We have done a lot, but there is a lot more to be done, all together, for the progress of our aquatic disciplines.
"We must continue working tirelessly, united in our diversity, to be even better."
He pointed out how aquatics is now the largest sport on the Olympic programme, with 49 medal events, after proposals for a new mixed medley relay, a men's 800 metres freestyle and a women's 1,500m freestyle were approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) last month.
He also highlights increased development funding and supposed improvements to the FINA governance, as well as its website and communications, before claiming they remain "at the forefront" of the fight against doping.
Maglione, 81, was only able to stand for a third term after he successfully proposed a motion abolishing age limits and relaxing term restrictions for the FINA Presidency in 2015.
This is among many areas identified by Barelli in his criticisms of the current leadership.
Letters signed by African Swimming Federation (CANA) President Sam Ramsamy of South Africa, Oceania Swimming Association (OSA) head Dennis Miller of Fiji and Asian Swimming Federation (AASF) counterpart Sheikh Khalid Mohammed Al-Bader Al-Sabah of Kuwait all draw upon similar themes in responding to these comments.
Miller outlines how Barelli himself has served as Italian Swimming Federation head since 1987, so it is "hard to understand his criticism of President Maglione and the current FINA rules".
All three letters criticise Barelli's decision to refer FINA vice-presidents Husain Al-Musallam and Dale Neuburger to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and then consider appealing the CAS verdict against him to the Swiss Federal Tribunal.
"Mr Barelli has been FINA honorary secretary general since 2009, but has never bothered to contact any of us during the last eight years about his ideas and vision of the way ahead on how to work as a family and drive FINA forward," wrote Sheikh Khalid.
"Unfortunately, Mr Barelli has adopted a negative stance in which he has not only attacked his colleagues in the FINA Bureau but also criticised the entire FINA system, although he is an integral part and advocate of the same system.
"He also criticised our beautiful Asian Aquatic family, and to our astonishment, states that Asians were only interested in the politics and finances of FINA while denying at the same time the fact that Asia is a true partner of FINA and that AASF has always been one of the fundamental pillars of FINA through its significant contribution to the FINA and its events in all aspects."
Ramsamy, a member of the IOC, added: "Mr Paolo Barelli, the FINA honorary secretary, has been circulating several letters to FINA National Federations, seeking support for his candidature for the President of FINA.
"Apparently, he is now circulating messages promising financial contributions in his attempt to woo the Federations.
"Last year, FINA President, Dr Julio Maglione, honoured us with his presence at our CANA Congress held in Bloemfontein.
"We also invited Mr Paolo Barelli to our Congress in Bloemfontein, but he did not even have the courtesy to respond."
These concerns relate from an insidethegames report on a letter sent by Barelli claiming that FINA officials from Africa and Asia are more interested in political and economic power than promoting sport.
Miller also criticises "rumours and allegations" made by the Italian against the current FINA President as well as the "smoke and mirrors" surrounding his election campaign.
He also questions Barelli's promises regarding increasing FINA development funding as he "cannot recall him at any stage advocating any form of financial and logistical support for national and continental federations".
"This has only come up now in his election campaign," he adds.
Barelli had taken FINA to CAS over alleged interference at last year's elections for the European Swimming Federation (LEN) Presidency, where he beat Dutchman Erik van Heijningen by 50 votes to retain his position.
Barelli had alleged that Al-Musallam had tried to get voters to back van Heijningen.
He also claimed that Neuburger, a director of Lausanne-based TSE Consulting, who work for FINA, should not have been involved in van Heijningen's campaign as it was a conflict of interest.
African, Asian and Oceania delegates are all urged to vote for van Heijningen and Russian Swimming Federation President Vladimir Salnikov as European representatives on the FINA Bureau.
LEN and Barelli have instead proposed Royal Spanish Swimming Federation President Fernando Carpena and Christa Thiel, President of the German Swimming Federation President for 16 years until she stepped down in 2016, for the same two positions.

Canberra’s Isabelle Bourne to make Australian debut at Oceania … – The Canberra Times
Posted: at 12:34 pm
In most high schools, the cardinal sin is checking your phone in class. But as up-and-coming basketball star Isabelle Bourne's phone continued to light up with texts from her parents, she finally read the message telling her to check her email.
"I checked it and I was just so shocked. I was in the middle of class and I just started smiling. I had to control myself a bit," she said.
The email informed the 16-year-old Canberra Capitals development player that she had been selected in Australia's under-17's side and was headed to Guam for the Oceania championships, which start on Monday.
After years honing her skills with coaches, her two older sisters and on her own, national selectors had rewarded the rangy wing's abilities and work ethic with her first Australian team selection.
"It's been one of my goals for a long time," she said with a huge smile and a laugh, suggesting both a sense of pride, and relief. "I'm so excited."
At the start of 2017, Bourne moved her belongings to the Australian Institute of Sport, starting a scholarship at Basketball Australia's centre of excellence.
While the move is a huge step for most athletes, Bourne had received some of the best preparation available.
Basketball ACT head of high performance Phil Brown headed the AIS women's team for 24 years, winning coach of the year and a WNBL title in 1999.
Since his start at Basketball ACT in 2014, he has helped ready the tall teenager for the opportunities ahead.
What started with older sister Emma sharing tips with Bourne in the family driveway developed to individual workouts with Brown and a host of other talented coaches around town.
Bourne's height, speed and skillset allowed her to dominate smaller defenders in the post or blow by bigger ones from the perimeter.
"The first thing you see watching Issie play is her length and athleticism," Brown said.
"She is mobile and long, and that alone makes her stand out as a basketball athlete.
"She has been an impact player for ACT representative teams through under-16 and under-18 Australian championships, catching the attention of national selectors in the process."
In February's under-18 national championships, Bourne finished seventh in points per game and second in rebounding, asserting herself against the top talents in the country.
Off the back of that, now she's going to Guam.

Oceania Capital Partners Ltd (OCP.AX) Price Holds Above Ichimoku Cloud – Financial Newsweek
Posted: at 12:34 pm
Oceania Capital Partners Ltd (OCP.AX) shares opened the last session at $2.32, touching a high of $2.41 and a low of $2.32 , yielding a change of0.10. The latest reading places the stock above the Ichimoku cloud which indicates positive momentum and a potential buy signal. The Ichimoku Cloud was originally called the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo. Where Ichimoku means one glance,Kinko balance and Hyo chart. Thus the full translation could best be described as one glance balanced chart. Originally developed by Goichi Hosada pre WWII, a newspaper journalist (published in 1969) who wanted to develop an Uber-indicator that could provide the trader with various levels of support/resistance, entry/exit points, direction of the trend, and strength of the signal.
The most basic theory of this indicator is that if the price is above the cloud, the overall trend is bullish while below the cloud is bearish, and in the cloud is non-biased or unclear. Lastly, when the price is above the cloud, then the top of the cloud will act as a general support level, and when price is below, the cloud base will act as resistance. But remember the cloud has thickness, and thus resistance does as well, which by making these thicker reduces the risk of a false breakout.
Investors may be searching high and low for the secret to attaining success in the markets. Knowing when to sell can be just as important as deciding which stocks to buy. Holding on to a loser for too long may leave a sour taste in the mouth. Investors may have unrealistic expectations about a particular name. Knowing when to cut and run can be a gigantic savior for overall portfolio health. Of course if investors end up selling winners too early, they will most likely be leaving too much profit on the table. Finding a good balance and knowing overall market conditions can help with the decision if the time has come. Closely tracking fundamentals and technicals can help give some insight into stock price behavior. Making sure company earnings are in line may also be a wise choice when investing in a recently researched stock.
Another popular tool among technical stock analysts is the moving average. Moving averages are considered to be lagging indicators that simply take the average price of a stock over a specific period of time. Moving averages can be very useful for identifying peaks and troughs. They may also be used to help the trader figure out proper support and resistance levels for the stock. Currently, the 200-day MA is sitting at 1.88, and the 50-day is 2.22.
The 14-day ADX for Oceania Capital Partners Ltd (OCP.AX) is currently at 27.73. In general, and ADX value from 0-25 would represent an absent or weak trend. A value of 25-50 would support a strong trend. A value of 50-75 would signify a very strong trend, and a value of 75-100 would point to an extremely strong trend. Checking in on some other technical levels, the 14-day RSI is currently at 64.67, the 7-day stands at 73.57, and the 3-day is sitting at 86.56. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a momentum oscillator that measures the speed and change of stock price movements. The RSI was developed by J. Welles Wilder, and it oscillates between 0 and 100. Generally, the RSI is considered to be oversold when it falls below 30 and overbought when it heads above 70. RSI can be used to detect general trends as well as finding divergences and failure swings.
At the time of writing, Oceania Capital Partners Ltd (OCP.AX) has a 14-day Commodity Channel Index (CCI) of 222.62. Developed by Donald Lambert, the CCI is a versatile tool that may be used to help spot an emerging trend or provide warning of extreme conditions. CCI generally measures the current price relative to the average price level over a specific time period. CCI is relatively high when prices are much higher than average, and relatively low when prices are much lower than the average. Investors may be watching other technical indicators such as the Williams Percent Range or Williams %R. The Williams %R is a momentum indicator that helps measure oversold and overbought levels. This indicator compares the closing price of a stock in relation to the highs and lows over a certain time period. A common look back period is 14 days. Oceania Capital Partners Ltd (OCP.AX)s Williams %R presently stands at 0.00. The Williams %R oscillates in a range from 0 to -100. A reading between 0 and -20 would indicate an overbought situation. A reading from -80 to -100 would indicate an oversold situation.

Starting Monday, the top youth basketball teams boys and girls from across the region will square off, each hoping to claim a title in the FIBA U17 Oceania Championships.
Guam, Australia, the Marshall Islands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Palau, Samoa and Tahiti will compete over the course of six days. The winners will be crowned Oceania champions.
This tournament is the first youth championship under the international basketball federations new competition system. Asia and Oceania are combined for competition purposes, and qualification for the under-17 and under-19 World Cups is now a two-step process.
What that breaks down to is the top four teams in Oceania will advance to the next level of competition. Previously, only the champion advanced.

We commend the boys and girls who will represent their nations in this event for all the hard work, long practices, tough training and time commitments the'veput in. Give it your all on the court, and exhibit good sportsmanship whether your win or lose.
To the parents of these youths, kudos for the time, effort and money you put in to helping your children develop athletically.
We also thank the coaches, staffs and volunteers for their effort, time and dedication. You made it possible for these youths to reach this stage of competition.

NORMAN - The Oklahoma Sooners are packing their bags to go half-way around the world.
In preparation for the upcoming season, they are traveling to Oceania for 12 days, featuring four exhibitions against international competition in Australia and New Zealand from August 3 to August 14, announced Friday. Competition starts against the New Zealand Select in Auckland, New Zealand on August 6. Then, the Sooners have three games against teams from Australia's premier basketball league, the NBL.
They face the Southerland Sharks on August 9, the Sydney Kings on August 10 and the Cairns Taipans August 13. The trip will carry a special significance for redshirt-sophomore Matt Freeman, who is from Auckland, New Zealand. Freeman averaged 2.7 points and 1.5 rebounds in 29 games, two starts, last season with the Sooners.
"It's going to be pretty special," Freeman said.
"For me, the amount of time I get to go home is very limited during the year, so anytime I get to go home is meaningful. It's extra special that I'll get to be there with my other family - getting to take everyone home that's close to me here and show them where I've been brought up."
The NCAA allows basketball teams to travel outside the U.S. to face foreign competition once every four years. Kruger and the Sooners most recently traveled to France and Belgium for 10 days in 2013. OU also traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica, in 2003 under Kelvin Sampson and to Vancouver, B.C., in 2007 under Jeff Capel.
Making international trips also comes with additional practice time. OU added eight more practices in July and two in August due in preparation for the exhibitions.
But the trip isn't all about basketball. It will be a good chance for the student athletes to experience all that Oceania has to offer.
