Rugby World Cup 2023: Ireland to kick-off in Bordeaux – The Irish Times
Posted: at 10:18 pm
If the secret to winning major tournaments - or even progressing beyond the quarter-finals - is peaking at the right time, then September 23rd will be circled on Irish calendars after the pool fixtures for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France were released on Friday.
That is the date Andy Farrell providing he is still at the helm will lead his side into a third round clash with the defending world champions, South Africa, at the Stade de France. A daunting but mouth-watering proposition.
Ireland will be hoping to head into the fixture on full points, after they were drawn to play two qualifiers in the opening two rounds.
On Saturday, September 9th they meet the European runners-up in Bordeaux this is likely to be one of Georgia or Russia, who they faced in the 2019 pool stages.
Irelands second fixture will be played in Nantes against the winner of an Asia-Oceania play-off, with Tonga or Samoa another side they met in 2019 the likely opponents.
Then its a first trip to the capital and the familiar surroundings of the Stade de France, where the Springboks will be lying in wait.
Two weeks after a bruising encounter with the world champions they take on Scotland in Paris on October 7th, a fixture which is likely to be a straight shootout for the knockout stages.
Should they progress, Ireland will then meet the winners or runners-up of Pool A, which includes France and New Zealand, on the weekend of October 14th-15th again at the Stade de France.
The tournament will be given a highly-charged opening when the hosts meet the All Blacks in Paris for a September 8th curtain-raiser the latest chapter in their storied World Cup history, with the losers knowing they could be facing Ireland in the last-eight.
Elsewhere, Wales once again find themselves grouped with Fiji and Australia they meet the Pacific Islanders in the opening round on September 10th before meeting the Wallabies in Lyon in round three.
England, beaten finalists in 2019, begin their campaign against Argentina in Marseille on September 9th, followed eight days later by a clash with Japan in Nice.
Attending fixtures still seems a distant dream but details of when and where tickets will go on sale will be announced on March 4th. Fans wishing to register their interest can do so at tickets.rugbyworldcup.com.

Stardew Valley Returns To The PlayStation Store In Europe And Oceania After More Than Six Months – PlayStation Universe
Posted: at 10:18 pm
Stardew Valley has now made the return to the PlayStation Store in both Europe and Oceania after being delisted for more than six months due to an age rating issue.
The listing, which was first spotted by Eurogamer is now live in most of Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, although the UK listing is not live for some people, so you may have to wait for it to show up on your system or browser.
Back in August, the developer behind the life-sim highlighted the issue, before announcing the games return earlier this week. So, players who dont own it already will now be able to get their hands on the game which has become a hit across the world and on multiple platforms.
It took a lot longer for the listing to be restored than what was originally intended, but at least it is back now.

When and where could NCLH resume cruising? | seatrade-cruise.com – Seatrade Cruise News
Posted: at 10:18 pm
So said President and CEO Frank Del Rio during the company's business update Thursday.
The timeline is clearly stretching. Earlier this month, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises all suspended sailings until June.
In the summer, ships are in Alaska, where it's currently not going to be possible to operate though Del Rio is 'cautiously optimistic' something may happen to remedy that and in Europe, where 17 of the company's 28 vessels are scheduled to be. In fall/winter, tonnage redeploys to the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico and world cruises.
Del Rio gave no indication thefocus is shifting to Europe for a restart but couldn't guess when the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention may give technical guidance so ships can move to the next phase in the statesideconditional sail order.
'It could be a few days, it could be a few weeks. We simply don't know,' he said. (Earlier this week, Royal Caribbean's Michael Bayley said he expected technical instructions 'any day soon.')
When the conditional sail order took effect in early November, the company expected a first-quarter start, likely in the Caribbean due to the season, and brought back ships and crew. But the first phase was more challenging than expected, and COVID-19 cases were spiking in the US. The company ended up sending 4,000 crew home.
'Today we are in a better place,' Del Rio said. 'At the end of the day, the prevalence of the disease in our own country and around the world will be the greatest indicator of when we can resume cruising.'
Health experts think infections will continue to decline heading into spring and summer, while 1.2m Americans a day are being vaccinated and more people have recovered from coronavirus and have antibodies.
Once test cruises are able to operate and CDC gives the green light, Del Rio doesn't believe it's a hard 60-day waiting period. However, for internal planning, he thinks a 90-day window is more feasible.
'We keep cruises available as long as we believe there's a chance we can operate. Once we know we start entering that 90-day or so window, we owe it to everyone in the ecosystem travel agents, consumers, employees, the crew to cancel cruises in the future.'
Mirroring Royal Caribbean's experience of a recent surge in bookings by over 65sdue to their priority vaccination, NCLH has seen a similar increase. Del Rio added they're retired and their stock market investments have held up well.
Oceania and Regent, whose customers' average age is 66-67, are already 40% booked for 2022, 'much better than they've ever been at this stage in the booking cycle.'

New York, Feb. 24, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Reportlinker.com announces the release of the report "Automotive Differential Market by Type, Drive Type, ICE & Hybrid Vehicle, Off-Highway, Component Aftermarket and Region - Global Forecast to 2025" - https://www.reportlinker.com/p05486765/?utm_source=GNW
Following this demand-led growth, key OEMs have begun to focus on the development of customer-centric SUVs, compact SUVs, or MUV models. These factors would consequently influence the market for multi-wheel drive systems, which in turn would drive the demand for the automotive differential. With progression in time, the COVID-19 impact has severely disrupted the supply chain for entire automotive ecosystem. This has halted production facilities across the globe resulting in disruption in the exports of the automotive components.
This scenario is expected to affect automotive differential market, as the growth of the market is directly related to the production of the vehicles. The global production of vehicle pre-COVID-19 was expected to reach from ~90-95 million units in 2020 to ~110-115 million units by 2025.
According to OICA, though global vehicle production declined by 5.2% between 2018-2019, the production outlook was supposed to showcase significant growth from 2021-2022 owing to multiple steps taken by OEMs, as well as some government, to attract customers.
Electronic limited slip differential to be the fastest growing differential type of the automotive differential market.
The differentials are now getting replaced by the Electronic Limited Slip Differential (ELSD).The ELSD system provides sufficient torque to each wheel with the help of an electronic control unit.
The system is useful in case of slippage, as the extra torque is transferred to the wheels with the most traction. The system offers better handling during high-speed curves and lane changes.
Asia Oceania to be the largest growing market for Automotive Differential MarketThe Asia Pacific region is estimated to dominate the automotive differential market and is projected to be the fastest growing market during the forecast period.Asia Oceania is projected to lead owing to the large vehicle production compared to other regions.
Asia Oceania contributed about 5055% of the global vehicle production in 2019.With the increase in vehicle production, the demand for automotive differential is projected to grow at a significant rate.
Also, a growing inclination towards all-wheel and four-wheel drive integrated vehicles in Asian countries has increased the popularity of off-road vehicles and sports cars. These factors are likely to attribute to the overall market growth during the forecast period.
