HOUSTON, Aug. 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Liberty Energy Corp. (LBYE) ("Liberty" or "the Company") announces further details on its new Texas acreage.

The Company has recently secured an average 97.9% working interest on over 626 acres in Caldwell, Texas.

The Company intends to target 3 main pay zones: the Dale Lime, Austin Chalk and Edwards. New field discoveries based on logged but undeveloped shows are also possible in the Salt Flat and Dale Lime fields. With the application of acid/fracture jobs and/or 'far-out perforating' it is believed that the Company could be able to increase production and possibly access undeveloped reservoirs that could produce at significantly higher daily rates and overall total production.

Typically there is between 2 and 160 acre spacing for well bores in this region. There are currently 385 operators (including Eagle Ford Oil Co., Inc., Luling O&G LLC and Texas Petroleum Investment Co.) and nearly 9,000 wells in Caldwell County.1 The Salt Flat oil field, (where the Company's 106 acre lease lies) in Caldwell County, is on a fault structure about 20 miles southeast of the main Balcones fault. The area is drained by the San Marcos River2, and the main producing formation is the Edwards limestone of the Comanchean Cretaceous. The field is 7.5 miles long and averages about 0.5 mile wide. To date the field has produced over 34 million barrels of oil from a total of around 350 wells.2 It is further estimated that ultimate recovery will be approximately 30,000 barrels of oil per acre.3

There is an old assumption that only the top five (5) feet of the Edwards is productive. However, new field information suggests that there are different producing intervals in the Edwards formation. These intervals are not separated by the normal shale intervals found in other producing formations, but are rather separated by chert layers in the limestone of the Edwards which reduce the permeability to zero. This raises a number of possibilities and traps for production from lower zones in the Edwards.4

The Dale conformably overlies the Austin Chalk and is considered to be part of the Austin Group. The Dale Limestone, recognized in the Travis volcanic field east of Austin, is associated more closely with individual volcanic mounds. Dale carbonates are at several stratigraphic horizons on the flanks of mounds, reflecting alternating conditions of volcanism and reef growth. The Dale has reported thicknesses of as much as 423 ft and a mean thickness of about 58 ft.5

Liberty Energy Announces New Acreage in Caldwell County, Texas

Liberty Residence I, an independent living center located at 250 Smokerise Drive, will host a Touch-a-Truck charity event from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The charity event will help United Way of Medina County's Stuff-A-Bus Campaign gather new school supplies. Those who attend the event have the option of bringing supplies including notebooks, pencils, erasers, markers, hand sanitizer, back packs, combination locks, scientific calculators and other articles needed by children going to school.

According to information supplied by the center, one in five children are at risk of being unprepared for the first day of school.

The event will also include a safety program will, which will feature a fire truck, ambulance and a police cruiser from the Wadsworth departments with personnel on hand to explain the vehicles.

In addition, Ozzie, a K-9 dog will be on hand along with Patches," the talking robotic Dalmatian in a small fire engine, which talks to the children about fire prevention.

Bev Long, Marketing and Admissions Director for Liberty I and Liberty Residence II facilities, said Patches will be brought in by the Erhart York Township fire department located in Wayne County. Long said "kids love Patches."

In addition, Jo Jo and Mo Jo the clowns will provide balloon animals for the children. Long said the clowns are from Cuyahoga Falls and were a part of the Wadsworths Blue Tip Parade held in June.

Tours of the facility will be available for those who want to see the amenities offered by Liberty I.

LAS VEGAS, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- First Liberty Power Corp. (FLPC) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the results for the next phase of the exploration on the Company's Smoky Valley Property ("SV Claims"). A gravity survey organized by GeoXplor Corp and recently completed by Hasbrouck Geophysics has produced several positive outcomes.

A total of 116 separate gravity stations were acquired along seven profiles, and interpretation of the modeled gravity data indicates there is a large topographic low, or basin, that looks to be closed off to the south but so far remains open to the north. This large extensive basin area appears to indicate the potential accumulation of lithium-bearing brines, which will be the focus of the Company's next stage of exploration work.

To further define the indicated basin closure, the Company's existing gravity survey will be extended slightly to the west and east and one additional line will be undertaken one kilometer south. Further, a minimum of two additional lines will be taken to the north, separated by one kilometer each, to better determine northern basin closure. Immediately subsequent to the completion of this supplemental gravity survey work, the survey team will begin controlled-source audio-magnetotellurics / magnetotellurics (CSAMT/MT) surveys which will be conducted in selected areas based on the gravity survey conclusions. The CSAMT/MT surveys are used to determine if conductive zones indicative of lithium-bearing brines are present and, if so, to map the dip and continuity of those aquifer beds.

The SV Claims are located approximately 5 miles northwest of the Chemetall Foote (now Rockwood Lithium) operation in Silver Peak, Nevada, which is the only producing lithium brine operation in North America. In the 1970's the US Geological Survey ("USGS") conducted a gravity survey covering Clayton Valley and the valley connecting Clayton Valley to Big Smoky, where the SV Claims are located. The USGS survey map demonstrated a noticeable relationship between the brine field in Clayton Valley and the deepest parts of the Smoky Valley. The map proposed to the surveyors that there is a height of bedrock between the SV Claims and Clayton Valley which could act as a barrier for water moving from Big Smoky Valley to Clayton Valley.
