Create the Best Online Gambling Customer – ARC
Posted: September 24, 2021 at 10:32 am
Online sportsbook and casino operators have a lot to consider around the end-to-end user experience and customer journey in this fast-paced industry. Everything in an app can work as designed, but what if the design misses the mark from the customers perspective? After all, product development and testing efforts are really about the end user. Though it often falls lower on the priority list long after testing core functionality a focus on the online gambling customer experience is critical to growing your online sportsbook, daily fantasy, horse racing or casino business. My customers benefit from having Applause testers experienced bettors in state, finding real-world issues and giving feedback from a manual-, payments-, user-experience and cross-state testing perspective.
As for any product, simply put, it has to work well if you want to keep and attract customers. Quality matters. The most reliable way to ensure a top-notch digital gambling experience is to know - conclusively - that your online sportsbook and casino apps work with actual users under real-world settings. This cant be reproduced in a lab environment and youre probably aware how time consuming and costly it can be to stand up a holistic testing approach around the world. As a sportsbook operator, can you do the following?
Test multi-factor authentication
Ensure compliance to geo-fencing requirements, meaning, the app works where it is intended to and not in other areas
Easily convert users from one product/platform to another
Enable in-game or live betting
Test across a wide range of device, OS, and payment configurations
Theres only one way to do this well, and using real bettors at different times of day and under varying degrees of network stress - such as during major sporting events - is your winning bet.
Once your sportsbook or online gambling app has its basic features and flows covered, test the customer journey. For example, in-app buttons should be designed and placed so they not only work properly, but enrich the experience, provide excitement, and draw the user further in. This, in turn, can help to easily convert a user from one game to another say from betting on an NFL game to a casino game like poker.
One of our current sportsbook and casino customers asked Applause to evaluate the entire customer journey to improve conversion/retention rates and expand internationally. We validated the end-to-end customer journey, including registration, deposits, bet placement and withdrawals. In addition, we ensured the company met location-specific criteria, such as using national ID for registration in a European country. We leveraged net-new testers with each product update to properly mirror the flow for new registrants. Based on tester feedback, our customer was able to confidently launch in state, and on time.
Online sportsbook and casino operators must test for all areas across the digital gambling experience.
Registration
Assess physical and digital registration and compliance with local regulations
Test multi-factor authentication
Capture correct documentation
Verify in-casino registration
Validate account and deposit limits
Ensure customers can redeem bonus offers
UX testing
Ensure seamless navigation and consistent experience across platforms and devices
Get real-time feedback for in-game betting
Understand performance on high-traffic days
Validate personalization
Test bet delays
Day-of-event testing
Customer Journey
Validate account transfer
Increase conversion rate (sportsbook to casino)
Evaluate end-to-end journey
Accessibility
Payment testing
Verify deposits
Ensure proper withdrawal functionality
Include both physical and digital payment methods
Evaluate transaction speed
Each type of gambling has unique requirements. Applause has you covered for the common and uncommon testing requirements needed to build the best online sportsbook and casino experience. From my experience working with some of the worlds biggest operators in this space, here is a short list of must-haves to grow your online gambling business (see our ebook for the full list):
Can players
Easily register/onboard and bet only within regulated geographic regions?
Register online and/or in-person?
Deposit/withdraw funds with all payment methods and financial institutions?
Deposit and withdraw funds quickly?
Easily place in-game bets?
As operators
Can you easily validate a user with proper documentation (passport, national ID, drivers license)?
Does your app perform on high-traffic days (World Cup, Super Bowl)?
Is the interface user-friendly so players can set lineups and compete easily?
Can you convert players from other offerings into the online casino?
Are you able to innovate and bring new games to market?
Applause values proactive compliance. We actively work with state regulators to obtain a vendor license or confirm we are exempt in states where online gaming is live or pending. Because we anticipate the industry roadmap as well as our customers needs, Applause has the ability to ramp up in-state testing quickly and efficiently.
The global landscape for online gambling is rapidly changing. Applause is currently working with sportsbook and casino operators to meet their evolving needs. Whether you need help with feature testing or games validation, market expansion and advertising testing, or launch preparedness and customer onboarding, weve got years of experience to quickly and accurately get your business where you want it.

Sports Gambling Is a Disaster Waiting to Happen – The Atlantic
Posted: at 10:32 am
Updated at 8:45 a.m. on September 24, 2021.
In every Major League Baseball clubhouse, a sign with Major League Rule 21(d) is prominently posted. The rule deals with gambling. It says that any player, umpire, or employee of a team or the league who bets on a game theyre not involved in will be banned from MLB for a year; if they are involved in the game, the ban is for life. Elsewhere in these ballparks are gambling signs of a different kind: ads and sponsorship logos for DraftKings, BetMGM, FanDuel, and the like.
The MLB rule is in plain view in every clubhouseincluding Pete Roses clubhouse, right as he was breaking itbecause of the 1919 Black Sox scandal. The scandal remains shrouded in myth, but it involved eight players who were banished from baseball for conspiring to throw the World Series. The damage was so devastating that MLB appointed its first commissioner, Kenesaw Mountain Landis, solely to clean up the mess. Landiss success in doing so, along with the emergence of Babe Ruth, is widely considered to have salvaged a sport that had been so rife with gambling and game fixing that many fans and sportswriters had suspected that the 1919 World Series was rigged while it was happening. People will forgive a lot in sports. But they do have to believe that the results are legitimate. Without that, the games are meaninglessa sinister chaos.
Read: What happens to gambling when sports shut down?
Today, though, the lessons of the Black Sox scandal have been lost to time. There appear to be no such fears about the corrupting effects of gambling, a vice that, like so many before it, has become corporatized. The NFL, NBA, MLB, WNBA, and NHL (not to mention some college programs) have all signed lucrative deals with sports books such as MGM, Ballys, PointsBet, and DraftKings. The Supreme Court struck down a federal ban on sports betting in 2018; last year it was a $26 billion industry. That number is expected to skyrocket over the next decadeespecially when a pandemic isnt slowing down sports. The future of money in sports is gambling, as anyone who watched the first two weekends of NFL games this season can tell you. This tsunami of advertisingand the oceans of cash it generatesputs the integrity of the games we love at risk. For all we know, the next big gambling scandal might already be happening.
Sports are certainly different than they were in 1919. The notion that the Black Sox players were forced to throw the World Series because their owner, Charles Comiskey, was so tightfisted with them is part of the myth, but theres no question that todays athletes are far better compensated than those of a century ago, and therefore less likely to succumb to financial temptation. (This is different from saying theyre overpaid. Theyre not.) But thats true of only professional athletes. Tens of thousands of collegiate athletes arent getting any compensation whatsoeverand Im not just talking about big-time college sports. You can bet right now on, say, a Coppin State University volleyball game. Do you know how easy it would be to fix a volleyball game that no one is otherwise paying attention to? Betting on high-school sports or the Little League World Series is not currently legal in the United States, but you can bet on both on offshore gambling sites. Gambling advocates claim that high-school sports will always be off-limits in the U.S. Only time will tell. If weve learned anything from the rush to gambling over the past few years, its that when enough money gets thrown around, the goalposts have a tendency to move.
The other major difference, of course, is technology. Bets can be made in real time, from your phone, mere feet away from where a game is being played. And the things you can bet on are becoming more granular every day. One of the biggest growth areas in gambling is in-game betting, which allows you to make new wagers in the middle of a game, based on betting lines that shift after the game has started. (If the Cardinals fall behind 51, for example, you can place a new bet that theyll make a comeback.) This seems like just the start. The prospect that you will be able to bet on individual actions in a gamewill this player strike out during this at bat? Will this kicker miss that extra point?is inevitable. Its catnip for gamblers. The possibilities for malfeasancethe near impossibility of ever knowing for sure whats legit and what isnt, whether that player tried to miss his shot or just missed itare limitless.
Many in the industry claim that the technology has become too foolproof for such scandals to arise, that any betting irregularities will be automatically sniffed out by sophisticated AI. But this seems likely to apply mainly to events like the Black Sox scandal, when the World Series is on the line, or when massive sums of money are wagered in one direction, triggering alarm bells. Players (or coaches, or, perhaps most likely, referees) shaving points or missing shots or giving up free layups could and will happen in microforms all around the country.
And thats the thing: It doesnt have to be a scandal of Black Sox scope to eat away at what people love about sports. The whole point of athletic competition is that its on the level. Elite athletes trying their best at every moment is the entire premise. Even if you find that too romantic or naive, sheesh, the only reason people bet on sports in the first place is that theyre supposed to be legit. (This is why you cant bet on WWE matches. Yet, I suppose.) When you take away that fundamental element of fair competition, sports cease to have any meaning whatsoever. You have to believe.
Read: Is March Madness a sporting eventor a gambling event?
I understand that gambling is a key revenue source for leagues, media, and individual states, during a time when every revenue source is vital. The thing is, gambling has always been a key potential revenue source. But because memories of the Black Sox scandal were so fresh, and were passed down from generation to generation (which is why then-Commissioner Bart Giamatti came down so hard on Pete Rose), leagues were incredibly cautious about touching the hot stove. Then arrived technology that made gambling frighteningly simple, revealing it as perhaps an even bigger moneymaker than anyone had anticipated. That, combined with the Supreme Courts 2018 decision, flung the door wide open. Who wants to talk about the Black Sox when theres so much money to be made?
Now the world of sports has plunged into gambling with both feet. Trouble is coming. Its all fun and games until suddenly, dramatically, it isnt.
This article originally misstated the size of the sports-betting market in 2020. It was worth an estimated $26 billion, not $26 million.

Gambling addiction leads to increased risk of suicide – NBC4 WCMH-TV
Posted: at 10:32 am
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)Addiction to gambling can not only lead to social, financial, and even emotional stress and also increased risk of suicide.
Throughout this week, recovery centers are putting a spotlight on the dangers of gambling addiction in local communities through a nationwide campaign called Responsible Gaming Week.
Its a hidden addiction, a lot of people do not talk about it, said Maria Garner, gambling counselor at Maryhaven.
Throughout her career as a gambling counselor, Garner said shes seen hundreds of people struggle with or refuse to admit their addiction to gambling.
Its an issue she said has gotten worse, due to online gambling.
Theres so many things that could trigger it, in a day, that its just, it is very difficult, said Garner.
Take, for instance, one of her patients, Shelley Spohn.
Before Maria, I was very hesitant to tell anyone, especially my family, which would lead me to gamble more, said Shelley Spohn, a patient in recovery at Maryhaven.
Spohn said addiction to gambling started after she went back to school and got her bachelors degree.
Shes a widow, whos recently retired, and said the lack of things to do, led her to visiting the casinos.
Eventually, it turned into an addiction, leading Spohn to spend away her car, retirement, and even her husbands life insurance.
It was very devastating and very demoralizing, I felt very much, so much like a failure. And that led to basically thinking, there is no way out of this, other than suicide, said Spohn.
At her lowest point, Spohn reached out to Maryhaven and was put in touch with Garner, who helped to get her life back on track.
Spohn is grateful, and hopes that others like her, wont be afraid to ask for help.
You cant do it by yourself, absolutely you cannot do it by yourself. You need the support of your family, and your counselors, and anyone else that will support you, said Spohn.

Explained: England’s proposed ban on gambling advertising in football – and why dangerous crypto firms could… – The Athletic
Posted: at 10:32 am
There is a view that English football has developed an uncomfortable relationship with the gambling industry, but enforced change is on the horizon.
A government-led review is nearing its conclusion before release this autumn. The long-term repercussions will be unavoidable.
Advertising on the front of clubs shirts is expected to be prohibited, with branding around grounds also up for discussion.
Revenue streams are set to be hit and football as with all sports will have little choice but to source income from elsewhere.
Here, The Athletic assesses the key issues before a landmark review.
The calls to halt gambling adverts are focused primarily on the protection of supporters.
Critics believe a market saturated by betting companies normalises a habit that can lead to dangerous addictions. The greater the exposure to gambling adverts, they argue, the larger the risk of fans coming to risk. There are thought to be 400,000 problem gamblers in the UK, with an estimated 1.8 million more experiencing harm.
So, what is the government trying to do with this change?
When is the white paper going to be published?
The government decided last December to undertake a wide-ranging review of the 2005 Gambling Act. Critics had called it outdated and unfit for purpose in the booming age of online gambling. As sports minister Nigel Huddleston said, the review would strive to pull our legal framework into the digital age.
Taking in 16 weeks of evidence, the review was closed in late March and its findings are forecast to be published before the end of November.
The department for culture, media and sport (DCMS) says no decisions have yet been made, but the long-held expectation is that it will mark the end of gambling companies being permitted to advertise in the prime real-estate on the chests of teams shirts.

A UK Ban on Gambling Jersey Ads Could Threaten $80 Million of Deals – Sportico
Posted: at 10:32 am
The U.K. appears on the verge of banning gambling companies from advertising on the front of English Premier League jerseys, a decision that could dramatically re-shift the market for one of the biggest marketing assets available to teams.
Betting partners have been a prominent piece of the U.K. soccer advertising landscape since a 2005 law loosened restrictions on gambling companies. This season, nine Premier League teams have a gambling logo on the front of their jersey, deals that are worth a combined $79.22 million (57.64 million), according to analytics and consulting firm GlobalData.
A government review of that 2005 Gambling Act, spurred by concerns over addiction, mental health and financial protection, has put that lucrative revenue stream in doubt. Multiple reports say the review, which began in December 2020, is likely to suggest a ban on Premier League jerseys featuring betting company logos. Should the proposal be approved by Parliament, it wont take effect until 2023 at the earliest.
The review could also recommend changes to in-stadium and broadcast advertising. A representative for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), which is conducting the review, didnt immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
U.K. restrictions would follow ones already in place in both Italy and Spain. That trend of contraction comes as the U.S. marketing engine rushes in the other direction. This year, for the first time, sportsbooks have been allowed to advertise on television during NFL games. As more states legalize the practice, operators are getting closer to shifting their massive marketing budgets away from pricey local campaigns in favor of national ones. National Hockey League owners recently approved the addition of jersey patches for the 2022-23 season, with betting operators allowed to buy that space.
In the U.K., betting operators first appeared on jerseys in the 2002-03 season when Fulham made the online gambling company Betfair its sponsor. In 2006-07, the number of sportsbooks on Premier League shirts jumped up to three. That total grew steadily until 2016, when half of the 20 clubs sported betting company logos on their jerseys.
None of the six most valuable clubs has ever had a sports gambling operator appear on its shirts, while others have simply cycled through them. For instance, Wigan Athletic's players wore 188BET on their chests for the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons, and then showcased the international gaming brand 12BET for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, for a net loss of 176 bets.
Many of these companies dont even fully operate in the U.K.theyre seeking exposure in other places, where Premier League games are broadcastand their advertising practices have irked some fans. Earlier this year Norwich City ended a partnership with BK8 after just five days because of outcry from fans.
A ban on those deals would especially affect revenue for mid- and lower-tier teams, according to Liam Fox, an analyst at GlobalData.
Clubs at this level are unable to attract the same high-value, blue chip sponsors that teams at the summit of the table can, Fox said. However, for betting operators, the forefront of their considerations is brand exposure. These clubs still appear just as regularly on broadcast feeds as the bigger clubs, thus act as an effective mechanism to increase sports betting revenues from its captive fan base, at a far lower cost.

Legal Gambling is Making Its Way into Arizona – Legal Reader
Posted: at 10:32 am
If you are looking for more information about how the legalization works in Arizona, which sportsbooks you can wager on, and everything in between, here is a guide for you.
Legal gambling is slowly making its way into Arizona, where it will finally launch on September 9, 2021. When the bill was passed in early April this year, people were surprised to find Arizona jumping onboard the list of states to legalize gambling.
With the momentum for gambling rising, the negotiations between the Governor and the tribes became fervent, resulting in the state board permitting around 20 licenses split between the tribal casinos and professional sports teams in the state. Like with any other revolutionary decision, the struggle to bring legal gambling to Arizona wasnt devoid of poison pills. Nonetheless, the determination of key participants paid through, and the agreement was reached at the last moment.
What makes Arizona more noteworthy is that it was one of the few states that didnt allow daily fantasy sports. But that has changed now. Though regulations and licenses are still under finalization, the government is planning to launch sports betting before the NFL season in 2021.
If you are looking for more information about how the legalization works in Arizona, which sportsbooks you can wager on, and everything in between, here is a guide for you.
Online Gambling in Legalization in Arizona
The internet arena in terms of gambling is unregulated. And the lawmakers arent quite interested in altering the status quo. As a result, a lot of offshore sites like BetOnline and Bovada currently accept gamblers from Arizona. Nevertheless, the legality of this practice is dubious because of the states stringent land-based gambling regulations. So, though online gambling is actively present in Arizona, it is largely a legal grey area.
Playing at offshore gambling sites isnt mentioned anywhere in the states regulations. Meaning, this practice can be considered a punishable offense theoretically. Nevertheless, the local laws are pretty strict when it comes to unlicensed land-based gambling. As a result, the legal status of online gambling in the state is a bit vague. Currently, many lawyers are in conflict about whether the general laws should be applied to gambling and wagering on iGaming sites or not.
But the good news is that the local authorities arent going behind individual internet gamblers, leveraging this loophole. So, industry experts will tell you not to worry when you play online in Arizona and that it is perfectly safe to do so.
Potential Sportsbooks Expected to Operate in Arizona
If you plan to indulge in some online gambling in Arizona, you might prefer learning about the potential sportsbooks that would operate in Arizona. If so, here is a list of the top sportsbooks that could partner with casinos and begin their operation after bagging their license.
One of the top sportsbooks across the United States, DraftKings was a popular daily fantasy platform before they delved into the sportsbooks and gambling arena. However, they havent operated in Arizona even as a DFS platform. With the launch of gambling in Arizona, DraftKings might partner with a licensed operator.
DraftKings is a leader in sport and prop offerings. The ease of signing up for an account for all their features is an essential highlight of the app.
Another popular DFS site, FanDuel, isnt as sharp as DraftKings in terms of interface and site performances. Nevertheless, they do offer quite a lot of sports betting and gambling options alongside great bonuses and promotions and a decent customer support system. Nonetheless, they will have to partner with a licensed casino to operate in Arizona.
A hotel and casino chain, BetMGM is a popular name in the United States. Though there havent been any signs of them breaking into the state, they can easily begin their operations by linking up with a Tribal casino. Established in Vegas, BetMGM is a famous sportsbook. They are now looking to spread their sportsbooks across various legalized states, including Arizona. BetMGM in Arizona will likely have a solid mobile app for mobile wagering too.
Backed by NBC, PointsBet is a relative newcomer in the sports betting industry. They feature a great lot of features to bet and also have a solid array of offerings for sports. The sportsbook also has one of the best bonuses and user promotions.

The Online Gambling Industry The Next Best Investment Choice? – Ohionewstime.com
Posted: at 10:32 am
The online gambling industry is expanding each day and more and more people are investing in different casinos. Despite being popular, gambling has a bad name and we understand that some people may be apprehensive about it because lets face it, gambling comes with certain investment risks! But if you think about the returns, they are quick and can be hefty.
All kinds of investments come with risks and one can benefit from gambling if one knows his limits and plays smartly. The online gambling market is huge and thus choosing the right casino is very crucial. Most reputed casinos today have licenses and are regulated by legit authorities but there are some scam websites as well. Thus, one must be very careful. If you are looking for good casinos to invest in, the UK gambling industry is perfect. They have a regulatory body that allows only safe casinos to operate under their names and make sure that these casinos use only the best software.
Let us then look at the particulars of gambling and weigh if investing in one will cause you more good or harm.
In the year 2019, the value of the global gambling market was USD 53.7 billion. It is expected to assume a compound annual growth rate of 11.5% from the year 2020 to 2027. The increasing use of mobile devices and high internet penetration is making people gravitate towards online games. And they find playing for real money much more exciting than playing for valueless ones.
Besides people, global entrepreneurs are offering to invest in online casinos. Even football clubs are coming in association with them. They are viewing the sector as a huge money opportunity. Large companies do not like to attach themselves to markets that have a bad name or shady business because it could affect their goodwill. This only proves that one can rely on modern gambling sites as they serve as an investment opportunity to both individuals and companies.
The pandemic has left us all homebound and in this situation, it could be a boon to get a great game to play on mobile phones. An online casino gives you all the entertainment that you can ask for. It gives you the adrenaline rush of playing at a real casino and that too from the comfort of your couch.
We all have wanted to visit Vegas after watching several Hollywood heroes play roulette at the table. Well, you can do that with live dealers on your online casino website right now!
While you can argue that Candy Crush or Call of Duty are equally entertaining games, let us ask you- can you cash the money? No, right? With online casinos, you can access and spend all your winnings. And if you look at the list of casino sites with 200 free spins at Gamblizard, you can also evaluate the marketing strategies and varieties of casinos one can find online. In case you decide to invest in one casino provider, every website they own could add a little to your bank account. And who knows, you may also win a jackpot by giving the games a try on your own. The possibilities are thus immense. Today, even slots come in paylines that go over 100,000.
A single UK casino website can have thousands of games. Slots alone come in hundreds of themes and settings. You can also play Poker, Blackjack, Baccarat, etc. you can never get bored with so many options at your disposal.
When you play at a reputed gambling website like those of the UK, you are entitled to several offers such as a free bonus, free spins, promotional offers, freebies and merchandise, and VIP privileges. If you use these smartly, you can emerge as a winner of thousands.
Casinos today use SSL encryption that keeps your data and money absolutely safe. Cybersecurity at casinos today is extremely strict. Despite that, if you have doubts while playing and wish to raise concerns, UK gambling sites come equipped with functional customer care bases where your problem will be resolved in no time.
The online gambling industry today is a safe place to invest as your money will fall into wrong hands and if it is your day, you shall win. There is hardly any foul play in the licensed UK gambling casinos. However, make sure that you do not get into the addiction to betting and keep it solely for entertainment purposes. Also, you must always read at least one trust review before you begin to gamble at a particular casino. Once you are sure it is a legit site, there is nothing stopping you from enjoying a wide array of games.

Survey: 84% of Indiana adults report gambling in past year: News at IU: Indiana University – IU Newsroom
Posted: at 10:32 am
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- In 2021, 84% of Indiana adults reported participating in at least one gambling activity in the past year, according to a new survey of adult gambling behaviors in the state.
Led by researchers at Prevention Insights, part of the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington, the survey was funded by the Indiana Council on Problem Gambling to assess the scope of gambling activities, the prevalence of problem-gambling behaviors and awareness of problem-gambling resources among adults in Indiana.
"Gambling has been legal in Indiana for over 30 years, and this survey is the first look at Indiana adults' behaviors around gambling," said Mary Lay, research associate and program manager of Prevention Insights' Indiana Problem Gambling Awareness Program. "Indiana is one of a few states that support efforts to address problem-gambling treatment needs with support from a portion of the revenues produced by gambling activities in the state. The results of this survey will be used to set priorities for treatment and awareness activities across Indiana."
A random sample of Indiana residents age 18 or older completed the survey between March and May 2021. Data from responses were weighted to ensure proportional representation to Indiana's overall adult population, Lay said.
According to the survey, lotteries were the most popular form of gambling among Indiana adults, with 71.7% of respondents reporting playing any lottery. The survey also found that 46.2% reported visiting casinos to gamble, and 20.5% reported participating in any sports gaming in the past year. The most common gambling activities that respondents engaged in were lotteries (61%), scratch tickets (59%), raffle tickets (49.9%), card games (44.2%) and games of personal skill (40.1%).
Lay said the most statistically significant differences in overall gambling participation were found in relation to sports gaming, which Indiana legalized in 2019. Men were more likely to participate in any sports gaming than women, and younger adults, age 18 to 34, were more likely to participate than older adults.
Additional survey findings include:
"The survey results affirmed research by others that problem gambling affects about 3% of the adult population, yet we do not see this in the numbers seeking treatment," Lay said. "These results will provide opportunities to find support for more advocacy and education around problem gambling.
"Gambling addiction is often seen as a chosen behavior and not a disease, such as alcoholism. Further education of the risks of gambling for more than entertainment or recreation can improve the lives of many Hoosiers."
Lay said that researchers plan to continue this survey in the future to assess how Indiana adults' gambling behaviors evolve over time.

Council on gambling problems moves office to Georgetown – CapeGazette.com
Posted: at 10:32 am
The Delaware Council on Gambling Problems Inc. now occupies a new home in Sussex County after relocating its Rehoboth Beach office to 142 E. Market St., Georgetown.
One of two council offices, the Georgetown site is located on the second floor of the building occupied by HomeWell Care Services. It provides offices and meeting spaces for counselors, staff and volunteers advancing the council mission by elevating awareness, offering education and being a resource for individuals who feel they or a loved one may be struggling with a problem gambling disorder.
Georgetown, which is the county seat of Sussex County and has a robust public transportation offering, provides the council with a strategic advantage in terms of giving a greater diversity of individuals more readily available access to its programs and services.
For more than a decade, the population of Georgetown has been increasing steadily, and unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the surge of internet gambling, so has the number of lives being impacted by problem gambling, said Arlene Simon, executive director, Delaware Council on Gambling Problems. Being in Georgetown opens tremendous opportunities for us to immerse ourselves in more peoples lives to connect with them where they live and how they live. This gives us greater power to earn their trust, to be seen as a safe place filled with caring people who understand.
The Georgetown office is within walking distance of the Sussex County Courthouse, and it is convenient to multiple DART public transportation options. The councils other office is at 100 W. 10th St., Suite 303, Wilmington.

There's more than one way to make some quick cash in Lost Judgment, but if you'd prefer to bet big and risk everything for a massive payday, then the gambling hall is the place to be. Ijincho happens to have just the right venue for risk-takers, but the high-stakes world of that gambling den is only open to people who know the right code to get in.
Below, we've got all the information you need to get through the door and scratch that gambling itch. If you need more cash to keep yourself at the tables, we've got you covered with our guide for quickly earning money in Lost Judgment. You might also want to check out our guides for fast SP gains, finding all the Kappa statues, and solving the Dastardly Detective side case. You can also read our Lost Judgment review.
Note that this guide will spoil the combination for the door code, so if you want to solve the puzzle on your own, stop reading now.
To get to the gambling hall, head over to the end of Romance street. You'll find the hall in a back alley. Climb the stairs, and you'll be greeted by a locked door that requires a four-digit code to open.
To find out the code the regular way, go to Fukutoku Park and listen in to this conversation:
The NPC will drop some vague hints, detailing the exact order that you need to input on the door to open it up. From the clues that he drops, you'll be able to deduce that the door code is 7120. Input the code in the door, and you're ready to play some games of Koi-koi and Oicho-kabu, as well as do some shopping inside.
