Fallout 4 Mods Add Cyberpunk Apartments, Metroid Armor And More – One Angry Gamer (blog)
Posted: May 17, 2017 at 2:01 am
(Last Updated On: May 16, 2017)
The latest Fallout 4 mods add Cyberpunk apartments, free DLC that brings a variant of the Metroid Suit, a New York quest-line that sends you to Manhattan, and a pack of Tough Traveler outfits. Bethesdas Fallout 4 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
If you are a fan of cyberpunk or sci-fi noir aesthetics and wish to bring some of that stuff into your modded game of Fallout 4, modder Bloodmeat08 has you covered. The mod brings a futuristic apartment setting to the wasteland and offers two variants: a warm Apartment 8, and cool looking Apartment 9.
The mod can be download over on NexusMods or you can read a bulleted list along with a video by Bloodmeat08 showing both Apartment 8 and Apartment 9:
The next mod comes in as free DLC that adds quite a bit of stuff to the base game, which includes Samus Arans Metroid suit.
This DLC mod by JohnC0n0r adds too much stuff to note without it becoming a post of its own. Ill, however, give a quick rundown on the new stuff which includes:
You can either look this mod over in more detail or download it over on NexusMods.
The next mod by AlxRam brings a whole new state to the game which Is New York; prompting the exploration of Manhattan. The city is filled with the gigantic Liberty Prime units that coincide with a brand new quest-line, among other factions, too.
The mod offers a lot like the mod by JohnC0n0r, but it also holds a lot of spoilers too, so I wont give anything away if you want to travel somewhere else instead of Boston or Maine. You can get this mod over on NexusMods.
The last mod on this list brings Tough Traveler outfits for wastelanders to wear. The mod is purely cosmetic and offers up different post-apocalyptic apparel for character to flaunt. A video showing Hagyjalbekens mod by Faceman Gaming sits below.
You can get this mod by heading over to NexusMods.
Bethesdas Fallout 4 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

I have spent long hours listening to music and Serial, Writing Excuses, and Night Vale podcasts, with different Sony headphones. And each of those devices were armed and ready to blast you to skies with the best audio Sony can deliver.
The MDR-1A had been my favorite from Sony for a long time, followed closely by the MDR-10RNC and the MDR-ZX330BT. And now looking holding the Sony MDR 1000X, I wish I had this instead way back when I took two to three hour commutes from home and to the office every day. Its not just another wireless headphones with noise-canceling features, this is a different kind of beast altogether. When it comes to a wireless noise-canceling headphone, the MDR 1000X has pushed aside every top choice Ive had in my head.
The MDR 1000X has style. As in line with other Sony products, the MDR 1000X is carved out to make you look good. It has this cyberpunk-ish appeal that reminds you that this is the future.
Of course Sony has been in the music business for a long time, so it goes without saying the MDR 1000X has excellent audio quality. Despite set in the mid-range line, Sony did not cut any corners to deliver a rich and full sound. What Sony boasts here is the Sense Engine technology, which allows the MDR 1000X to give you that impressive noise-canceling environment and at the time offers ways in how to remain alert in the outside world.
In the normal Ambient Sound Mode, even with the MDR-1000X locked on your head with the volume rocked high, youll still be able to hear the sound of the rumbling of vehicles. What happens here is your music fires up in the background, keeping you alert of your surroundings. Then theres the Voice mode in Ambient Sound, which has the headphones adjust frequencies so you will be able to hear sudden announcements.
You can also place your head over the side of the headphones, just like the gesture when trying to intently listen to someone, and automatically the sound will drop low enough for you to hear any announcements or if someone suddenly asks you a question. It sounds nice on paper but youd wonder if the volume actually drops low enough for you to actually hear whats happening, and the answer to that is yes. The music doesnt go away completely but it fades enough for you to have a quick conversation.
The right housing is touch-sensitive. Swipe forward and back to switch tracks, up and down for volume, and double tap for pause. This is also one of the most comfortable headphones and stays on in a snug fit. And for battery, youve got nothing worry about, the MDR 1000X will last you at least the entire day and carries over to the next.
The Sony MDR 1000X is an outstanding headgear that goes well in style and your surroundings.

Cyberpunk Horror Game Observer Launches on PS4, Xbox One … – GamingBolt
Posted: at 5:54 pm
Bloober Team, the folks who brought usLayers of Fear before, will be bringins us the cyberpunk horror gameObserver this summer,Bloober Teams Rafal Basaj confirmed. The game will be launching on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The game seems to take some cues from theBlack Mirror episode about augmented reality, asking players the question- what would they do if their fears were hacked? The game is supposed to be a lot more cerebral and psychologically manipulative than other horror games on the market. I hope it plays with players expectations of fear, rather than being explicit about what they should be afraid of to begin with. In my opinion, thats where most horror games on the market fail.
It sounds like an intriguing, fascinating game- but not one that I am sure I would have the gumption to play (Id probably chicken out). What about you? Is this something youd be interested in picking up?

Cyberpunk 2077: Everything we know – TrustedReviews
Posted: May 11, 2017 at 1:01 pm
CD Projekt Red has finally finished work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. After months of post-launch support and two phenomenal expansions in Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, the Polish studio is ready and willing to tackle something new.
Cyberpunk 2077 is this something new, transporting the studio from its usual fantasy fare to a stylish, cyberpunk universe. Hence the name.

TrustedReviews has compiled everything we know about Cyberpunk 2077, including all the latest news on the release date, gameplay, characters, story and more.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an all-new IP by CD Projekt Red, exchanging Geralts fantasy setting for one with a bright, neon sci-fi aesthetic. Set to be an open-world RPG from either a first- or third-person perspective, players can expect a wide departure from The Witcher 3.
Beyond a few key pieces of concept art and sneaky job applications, we know very little about 2077 thus far. But what we do know is what wed love to see in the ambitious new RPG.
Since development in still in the early stages, a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 remains unconfirmed. CD Projekt Red has said it hopes to launch in 2019 at the earliest. Knowing this, we still have a long wait ahead of us.
In terms of platforms, its currently confirmed for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set in an open-world metropolis known as Night City, whose inhabitants communicate in a series of foreign languages unknown to the player. We'll be expected to learn the ways of the city while finding ourselves falling deeper into a strange, dangerous conspiracy. Specifics on the narrative remain unknown, although its certainly going to be ambitious.
According to CD Projekt Red, the breadth of Cyberpunk 2077 will be considerably wider than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Night City will be a truly overwhelming environment to explore, filled with unique quests, NPCs and gameplay opportunities. Its likely to be pretty violent, too.
The player will be able to obtain a series of skills, abilities and enhancements to communicate with the citys inhabitants using a digital recording device known as Braindance. This will likely incorporate itself into combat, too, with players adopting skills that match their favoured playstyle.

Weve yet to see any actual gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077. It will run on RedEngine 4.0, the latest iteration of the technology that powered The Witcher 3.
The only trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 is a brief teaser trailer uploaded a staggering four years ago. Check it out below:
A unique protagonist
The Witcher series was concrete proof that open-world titles dont require a dense character creator to draw in players. Across three fantastic games and countless novels, Geralt of Rivia grew into a hero we couldnt help but root for. He had relationships, flaws and motivations that felt well and truly rooted in the world he inhabited.
To an extent, we could also shape his personality, with dialogue options leaving much to the imagination. Geralt could become an empathetic hero or a stubborn mercenary only interested in making money for himself. Combine this with stellar writing and voice acting and you have a recipe for success. If Cyberpunk 2077 can emulate even half this, were in for a treat.
A dense, populated world
The Witcher 3s open world was one of classic fantasy. Vast, open fields and medieval cities filled with energetic bards and ferocious monsters. Cyberpunk 2077 will be a very different story, considering the genre in which it resides. We expect 2077 to take inspiration from the likes of Blade Runner, Deus Ex and System Shock to create a uniquely startling world.
Related: Upcoming Xbox One Games
Night City sounds like it could be something special. A metropolis filled with explorable streets, buildings and suburbs with different dialects peppered throughout. Having to upgrade your character on a specific path to access new locations should make each playthrough unique, with every player approaching the open world in a vastly different way.
Less bugs at launch!
As wonderful as it was, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a bit of a buggy mess at launch. Performance problems, quest issues and more left players waiting months for patches that would finally smooth out the experience. It wasnt a dealbreaker, but definitely made it harder to appreciate the brilliance hidden beneath its questionable exterior.
CD Projekt Red should strive to ensure Cyberpunk 2077 doesnt launch with such problems. Its arguably impossible to avoid bugs and glitches with a project such as this, but any improvement would be welcome.

Prepare to Enter Harsh Reality, a Brand New Cyberpunk Thriller – Dread Central

Are you the type who plays too much video games, is always on the computer and doesnt get outside very much? Do you like the type of science fiction that Philip K. Dick and Paul Verhoeven unleashed back in the day? If so, youll be pleased to know that Ive just discovered the next promising short film for people like us.
Prepare to step into a neon-drenched future dystopia with Harsh Reality, relive the glory daysof edgy sci-fi action with a message about our relationship with technology, and bask in the synthy goodness. The film tells the story of aprofessional gamer whos kidnapped and subjected to a mind-altering VR program. And who knows? With the way technology is evolving, that will probably happen someday. So lets enjoy our freedom while we can, but in the meantime, we can support Harsh Reality and enjoy that too.
The film is directed by Iain Marcks (American Cinematographer Magazine),whose films have previously appeared on Fandor and ShortsTV. Starring will be comedian and pro gamer Jeff Seal, Chris Manley (Cirque du Soleil), and Shaina Feinberg (This American Life). Joe Yanick, of the excellent noisemakersSyndromes, will serve as a Producer while, AntoniMaiovvi, the co-founder of the sublime Giallo Disco Records, will bring the glorious synths. Capping off the team is Assistant Director, Heather Buckley (We Are Still Here) and Director of Photography, Eduardo Mayen (El ReysFrom Dusk Till Dawn).
For updates check out the Energeia Films Facebook page, and if youd like to support the campaign then head on over to Indiegogo and check out the perks.
Synopsis: HARSH REALITY is set in Central City, a teeming metropolis that was on the verge of bankruptcy until a cartel of banks and multinational conglomerates stepped in to take control of its sagging infrastructure. Known as the Central Provisional Authority Corporation, theyve created a utilities monopoly, replaced the police with a private security force, shuttered the public University, and begun mass deportations. Meanwhile, the citizens of Central City have begun to organize and resist the hostile takeover.
This is not a future that will be, but one that might be.
Our influences range from RoboCop, The Twilight Zone, and Max Headroom, to the work of Philip K. Dick, Douglas Rushkoff, and Harlan Ellison but HARSH REALITY is part of a larger original narrative that includes two feature films, one of which ZERO SUM has already been written and is in development, to be followed by THE TRANSIT OF VENUS.

Harsh Reality is a short movie about how horrible VR is going to be; here's the trailer for the crowdfunding campaign.
ENERGEIA FILMS is proud to be a part of the launch campaign for NOIR Systems's latest entry in the field of VR-enhanced rehabilitation -- the NSYS-EX. As seen in the new short film, HARSH REALITY!
What happens when the technology designed to help us is turned against us? Please help fund HARSH REALITY so you can find out!
VR dystopias are usually posed as an assault on our senses, on our privacy, our sense of self. But honoring the utopian viewpoint--VR as a manifestation of everything we want to see and become, an unfettered self--always held more power for me, especially as prelude to dystopia. The 1988(!) Red Dwarf episode Better Than Life, wherein fully-immersive VR is revealed as a way to completely idealize one's everyday personal flaws, remains my favorite!

Here’s Why Cyberpunk 2077 Could Feature New Engine Advancements, Animals And Creatures – One Angry Gamer (blog)
Posted: May 6, 2017 at 3:45 am
(Last Updated On: May 5, 2017)
Ive been seeing quite a bit of comments recently around various forum boards saying that Cyberpunk 2077 is well past its initial stages, which is likely false. With a new job hiring posted for CD Projekt Reds upcoming Sci-Fi RPG, lets take a look at why the 2012 version of Cyberpunk 2077 was likely scrapped/reworked and how animals and creatures will be in the game courtesy of a job post by CDPR on May 4th.
I know what Im about to bring up may bore some people, but I need to use something as reference to kinda drive a point: You see, CD Projekt Red upgraded the once old REDengine 3 to the brand new REDengine 4. So what does that mean? A lot had to be scrapped.
This is the part where I may lose some folks, but a game that we cover on this very site named War of Rights went through the same engine changes. The team shifted from the CRYENGINE 3 to the CRYENGINE 5 and a lot had to be reworked almost from the ground up. Switching engines takes precise calculations in that you cant just do it too early nor do you want to do it too late. The post by the developers behind War of Rights, Campfire Games, update sits below:
But what exactly is and means an engine upgrade? How does it benefit the development of the game and thus also you, the players?
Ever since the first release of the Technical Alpha, weve been using the final CRYENGINE 3 version (at the time offered through Steam). This version of the game engine is nearly a year old now and since Crytek, the creators of the engine, is one of the technological leaders of the industry, the engine has naturally evolved quite a bit in that timeframe. Timing in regards as to when to upgrade is also a considerable factor. We feel like now is the right time to upgrade as CRYENGINE 5 is getting ever more stable and our amount of code written is still manageable (the further along a game is in development the harder it generally is to upgrade the game engine).
Meaning if the devs made the switch with Cyberpunk 2077 back in 2012, not all that much was done to do such a switch. Heres a link to the page explaining changes to WoR engine, which is accompanied by an image showing the act of changing code.
This coincides with the most recent notice indicating that the Polish government granted CD Projekt Red $7 million for building new tech with an aim to release the game sometime between 2018-2019, and if the dev team wants to they can prolong the use of the grant to release the game in 2021. The grant is also being used to help upgrade the RED Engine 4.
This also links into what CDPRs Visual Effects Artist, Jose Teixeira, had noted to Kotaku (archive.is) back in 2016 when he stated that
I mentioned that we were upgrading the engine based on the feedback everybody gave from The Witcher 3, Texiera said. Were upgrading the engine. Its a pretty thorough upgrade. Almost every aspect of the engine is getting upgraded. My particle effects editor is getting upgraded, as is almost every other tool.
When I use the word scrapped think of it as a building with an old exterior but with an all new interior except replace the interior with game code. In other words the code that was put in place back in 2012 or 2013 is more than likely gone and replaced with more stable and less janky code. Model files (although it was a CGI trailer) are likely to stay like the ones seen below.
Moreover, as of May 4th, the developers posted up on their Twitter account that they are now looking for Gameplay Animators, Cinematic Animators and experienced Animators.
Now it was noted in a previous report sometime back by SlimLarnaout that CDPR handles things differently and goes about creating things in an unconventional way at times (but not always), which includes putting together the official trailer released back in 2013. So this means that nearly anything could be going on with the game while the devs are looking for Gameplay Animators, Cinematic Animators and experienced Animators. With that said heres the new job listing description:
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an exceptional, talented and experienced Cinematic Animator to join our outstanding team. Person on this position will be responsible for character animation in cutscenes and dialogs, so good acting skills are necessary. You will also be responsible for the preparation of mocap materials, their dynamics and overall quality as well as for the implementation of animations into the game.
In addition to the above, we get a hint that four-legged robots and creature will be in the game as well as animals and stuff that are referenced in the new job listings:
Were giving animators a lot of freedom in terms of creativity we have our own motion capture studio and animate everything in-house. Youll have a shot not only at animating humanoids and animals, but also machines and creatures that are a real challenge to bring to life. At RED,every animator is responsible for a piece of the project, so you feel youre a a part of things. If youve been looking for change, you just found it!
You read right, there will be four-legged animals and creatures which that are further elaborated on in the job listing:
Experience in animation bipedal / quadruped characters and other organic and inorganic forms.
If I had to give a wild guess though please take this with a grain of salt the devs are reworking code and getting ready to make a trailer for E3 or something due to the hiring of an Event Manager so that they can move on finishing up the gutted code from 2012 and implement it manually through the REDengine 4 as we speak. This could make the road going forward next year (or in 2019) much easier when tackling more complex mechanical or graphics implementations.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to come out when its ready.
