Capture One was recently updated with a dedicated before and after tool, and new powerful heal and clone tools. Before this update, the healing and cloning tools were unusable to me, but now with this update, I can save the time of moving back and forth between Capture One and Photoshop.

Before removing the dust spots, we have to find them first. It can be difficult to spot them, especially in low contrast areas, and Capture One still doesnt have a Visualize Spots mode like Lightroom. In this article, I will show you a trick that will allow you to see all the dust spots using a combination of contrast, clarity, and structure, and saturation.

We are going to use this layer to remove the dust spots.

This layer we will use as the dust spots finder.

In this dust finder layer, we are going to lower the exposure slider a bit, and crank up the Contrast, Clarity, and Structure all the way. I also desaturate the image as Colors can be a distraction as well. The goal of those adjustments is to increase the contrast which will help reveal all the spots on the image.

After making these adjustments, we made the image look horrible, but now we can see all the dust spots clearly.

Now go back to the dust spot removal layer and select the healing brush tool you can also use the keyboard shortcut Heal Brush (Q) and Clone Brush (S).

With the Heal brush tool selected, start clicking on the area you want to remove. Capture One will try to find the best suitable source point to heal the area you selected. Capture One will display the chosen source, so you can move the source point freely if you are not happy with what Capture One selected for you.

Sometimes Capture One will not display the Selected source because it thinks it has found the best source so you wont be able to move it. If that happens, you can force Capture One to show the arrow by just holding down (Option/Alt) and clicking on your preferred source point.

To delete any healed area, just select the source point and hit the (backspace) key. Or you can use the Eraser brush. There is no limitation number on how many healing strokes you do on one layer.

To use the clone brush tool, you need to set a source point that you are going to clone from first, set a source hold down (Option / ALT), and click on the source you want. Then start brushing. With the cloning tool, I recommend that you use a feathered edge brush (by lowering the hardness slider to the left) to make the cloned area blend seamlessly without noticeable cloning edges.

To delete a clone area, you need to select the source point then hit the (backspace) button. Also with the clone tool, there is no limiting how many cloning areas you can have on one layer.

To invoke brush settings, you can click on the icon in the layers tool or right-click when the brush is selected.

Brush Size: To control how large the brush is, you can move the slider left or right. You can also use the keyboard shortcut, the square brackets ([ and ]). Use the left square bracket to make the brush smaller and the right square bracket to make the brush larger.

Brush Feather: With the hardness slider you can control how hard or soft the brush edges are. You can also use a key shortcut, the Shift + square brackets ([ and ]). Use the shift+[ to make the brush softer and shift+] to make the brush harder.

After you have removed all the dust spots, now you can just delete the dust finder layer as we dont need it anymore. Or you can save it a Capture One style so you dont have to do those steps every time you need a dust spot finder layer.

DC Comics' rogues gallery is one of the most famous in the entire comic book genre, as foes like The Joker, The Penguin, Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, and even The Riddler have all become big mainstream figures, thanks to DC films and TV series. However, DC Comics is now setting the stage for an entire new generation of villains to potentially keep the Batman and co. busy for years to come - and these new foes come with a terrifying twist! The new Joker series by James Tynion IV has taken Jim Gordon on a globetrotting manhunt to kill The Joker once and for all - but now he and Joker have stumbled into a much bigger conspiracy that's been brewing in the DC underworld!

In Joker Chapter Fifteen: "The Monster Maker", Gordon and the new female Bane, Vengeance, track Joker to the island of Majorca. It's there that they find the mad clown with one Dr. Friedrich Baum, whose mansion home Joker has wired to explode. Baum demonstrates his power and authority pretty concisely when he makes Vengeance fall unconscious by simply speaking a three-word sequence.

Joker's whole "gag" is getting Gordon, himself, and Dr. Baum alone in order for Gordon to have to learn the mad scientist's truth. Tynion's Joker series has introduced "The Network," a clandestine cabal of wealthy/powerful people who can provide services to criminals and supervillans, such as hiding them away in luxurious remote mansions, in between capers. However, Dr. Baum's role in The Network is the stuff of true nightmare fuel...

The mad doctor's monologue to Joker and Gordon reveals that he is a geneticist who was originally paid to grow cloned body doubles for underworld criminals looking to fake their own deaths and/or take on new identities. However, Baum's work was so good that the wealthy elite began to find more uses for his... talents, such as growing human meat for consumption by rich people bored with conventional menus. Baum's point is simple: his inclusion in The Network puts him above the law, at the service of people with unthinkable whims. One of those whims is going to turn Batman's world upside down, because Gordon learns that someone has been paying the doctor to clone The Caped Crusaders enemies!

That horror reveal comes when Baum shows Gordon and Joker vats of failed Joker clones - all living, laughing, deformed nightmares. Baum confirms his mysterious client ordered the Joker clones - and that Vengeance is a Bane clone he designed. All of this is revealed to be headed to one end purpose: creating a new market of custom-made and controllable supervillains, with Batman and Gotham City as the targeted testing ground for this new product line:

"Think of it this way," Baum tells Gordon. "You have the honor of being killed by the first in a generation of new designer villains, before they've even had a chance to hit the open market."

Obviously, Joker won't just sit back and let his trademark be co-opted in such a grotesque way. That said, no matter how this story arc turns out, Dr. Baum and The Network are now potentially seeded as means for DC to turn out new variations on old villain concepts, through this cloning process. Could be fun, could be a hard miss, depending on the character. Comic fans can get pretty triggered when the subject of clones comes up...

RELEASED from St Martin Parish jail, NBA Youngboy made an appearance on social media.

A new picture taken after his release and revealed by DJ Akademiks took fans by surprise.

In the photo shared on Instagram, NBA Youngboy can be seen sporting a smile while posing casually with a little girl.

He can be seen wearing a maroon full sleeve shirt with his hair styled in dreadlocks.

The photo quickly became viral on Twitter for the most astonishing reason.

While some fans were happy to see him again, others were astounded upon discovering the rapper's new appearance, some joking that the man in the picture is not NBA Youngboy but his clone.

He has been compared to fellow rapper Rich the Kid.

"This a Youngboy clone", one user commented.

"This ain't Youngboy, this is a clone", added another.

"The latest picture of NBA Youngboy looks like a certified clone."

This is not the first instance NBA Youngboy has been at the centre of cloning jokes on social media.

In 2019, following his release from a 90-day jail sentence, he surprised his fans with a change in his appearance after getting rid of his dreadlocks and growing a mustache.

While he has been released from jail, NBA Youngboy remains on a tight leash.

NBA Youngboy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was granted a $1.5 million bail with a GPS monitor on Friday, October 29, 2021.

He was released after posting the first $500 000 of his bail.

His legal team stated that his release includes confinement in his Layton home, in Utah, and the authorities are keeping tabs on his location.

He is set to serve a pre-trial house arrest after seven months spent behind bars.

NBA Youngboy was arrested by the FBI on March 22, 2021, when he allegedly fled from LAPD officers after an attempted traffic stop on an outstanding federal warrant against him.

The incident began when police officers tried to pull him over. After taking off in the vehicle, the Baton Rouge eventually stopped his car and fled by foot.

Officers had brought a K-9 unit to track him down and found a firearm in his car.

The warrant set out against him stemmed from a drug bust in September, 2020.

NBA Youngboy was one of 16 people to be arrested on charges related to distribution and manufacturing of drugs and possession of stolen firearms.

His lawyer claimed that the 21-year-old was innocent at the time and, as he already was a convicted felon, NBA Youngboy is forbidden under state and federal laws from possessing any firearm.

A SUPERMARKET chain says its had no reports of problems with the ATMs at its Dumbarton store after a shopper claimed hed fallen victim to a card cloning scam at one machine.

Matthew Frearson, 25, claimed his card was cloned at an ATM outside the Asda store at the St James Retail Park and that scammers had defrauded him out of hundreds of pounds as a result.

But Asda said it had checked the machines and was not aware of any problems and its understood no report has been made to police.

Mr Frearson said: I used one of the cash machines outside Asda in Dumbarton on the 16th, and didnt think anything of it as everyone takes money out.

Im usually careful with cash machines and check for card skimmers but this time I didnt as I was distracted talking to my sister.

Last Thursday I got a notification from my banking app saying I had spent 210.32 in the Three store in Glasgow which I hadnt.

When I phoned Bank of Scotland they confirmed it was a physical card that had been used in the Three store, and they had blocked multiple charges including 400 in the Samsung store, 290 at Dress For Less, 30 on Just Eat and 30 on Dominos - all of them failing apart from the Three charge.

The bank confirmed over the phone it was most likely a cloned card as it was a physical card showing on their system that was used in Three and Samsung.

Asda said it had received no complaints about the stores ATM machines.

A spokesperson added: We have had no other complaints, no conversations with the police and after having checked the ATMs, it doesnt appear that there is any issue currently with the ATMs at this store.

As someone who grew up in the tropics, surrounded by light and life all year, I will probably never get used to the long, slow decline of the garden as we slide inevitably into the UK winter. However, over the past 20 years or so, I have developed quite a few coping mechanisms to help me keep getting my horticultural fix. From winter-flowering houseplants to autumnal seed sowing, there are some simple ways to see active growth and the promise of new beginnings even when its bleak outside. Perhaps, however, nothing is as effective as the miracle of life that are hard wood cuttings.

Like most forms of vegetative propagation, taking hardwood cuttings involves intentionally inflicting damage to a plant, which in its efforts to heal itself, sends out new roots and leaves to create a perfect genetic clone. As this type of cutting is taken when the plant is dormant any time from mid-autumn to late winter they will generally suffer less of a shock than when under the pressures of active growth in summer, which is what makes these cuttings, to my mind, the simplest to do. All you need to get cloning is a pair of secateurs, a spade and, depending on your soil type, a little sand.

First, snip off some short 20-30cm sections of young stems that have grown in the past year, using sharp, clean secateurs. The brilliant thing is that these can be just the off-cuts from an autumn pruning youd be doing anyway, meaning you can create free plants from what would otherwise be mere garden waste. Excellent candidates for this treatment include fruiting shrubs such as gooseberries and currants, as well as flowering marvels like hydrangeas, roses and viburnums, and foliage trees such as willows and dogwoods. Even climbers like jasmine and honeysuckle will work.

Now, lay out your cuttings on a table and nip out the bud at the tip of each section, as this will create denser, bushier growth when your cutting eventually sprouts. Making this cut at an angle is a useful tip, so when it comes to planting you will know which end goes up, which is pretty much the only crucial thing to get right.

All you then need to do is dig a narrow trench this only has to be deep enough to bury the cuttings (pointy end up) by two-thirds and place your cuttings in it, spacing them about 15cm apart. If you are growing on a really heavy soil that is prone to waterlogging, you might want to place about 10cm of sand at the bottom of the trench, but on most other soils types I dont think there is a huge benefit to this. Finally, fill the trench in with soil and then generously water.

All thats left now is to have patience as these will take probably around 12 months (depending on the species) to form strong root systems. Keep the trench from drying out in the spring and summer, and by this time next year youll have your own little clone army in exchange for very little work.

JURASSIC Park could become reality after experts unearthed a fossil that may contain dinosaur DNA.

Scientists believe it may have the first prehistoric genetic code yet discovered.

If experts can extract the information, it raises the prospect of cloning a dinosaur just like in the 1993 movie.

The fossil, a piece of cartilage from the thigh of a peacock-sized caudipteryx, was perfectly preserved in volcanic ash.

The beast roamed the Earth 125million years ago and resembled the films fearsome velociraptors.

It was discovered in northern China by a team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and was in exquisite condition.

The cells were mineralized by a process called silicification and experts have concluded some were healthy and others diseased at death, a study said.

It adds that the fossilised cells cannot be considered rock because they contain remnants of organic molecules.

Professor Alida Bailleul said: We are obviously interested in fossilised cell nuclei because this is where most of the DNA will be, if DNA was preserved.

An incident of robbery in the United Arab Emirates last year stunned everyone, including the authorities and police, when thieves used voice cloning technology to rob billions from a bank. They used this technology to rob the bank of at least Rs 200 crore, reports say. The thieves portrayed themselves as the directors of the bank. The technology was used with the help of artificial intelligence. Only Rs 3 crore of the total amount has been recovered till now.

According to UAE officials, a total of 17 people were involved in the robbery and the thieves transferred the amount to different bank accounts across the world. The UAE administration took the help of American agencies for further investigation into the matter.

The thieves, acting as Bank Director, said, We are going to make a huge investment soon for which a big amount of money will be required. We need $35 million (more than Rs 200 crore) at the earliest. According to reports, the incident happened in early 2020.

How did they do it?

The thieves made a phone call to the manager of the bank. While they were talking over the phone, they used deep voice technology with the help of artificial intelligence. Using the same technology, they spoke in the voice of the director of the company while requesting the transfer of Rs 200 crores immediately. The robbers even emailed a letter informing them about the legalities of the transaction to make the bank employees believe them.
