Dr. G’s CBD Sets Itself Apart From Other CBD Brands – stupidDOPE.com

Posted: October 5, 2020 at 3:59 pm

Dr. Gs CBD makes a highly potent CBD tincture with a pleasant twist. Dr. Gs CBD started as a side business for practicing chiropractor, Dr. Jeffery Gamble. When Gamble first began researching the benefits of CBD oil, he found that taste could play a significant role in his patients willingness to try and use CBD on a regular basis. In an effort to make enticing yet effective products, Dr. Gamble decided to add a new flavor profile to his CBD tincture: Strawberry.

Dr. Gs CBD combines Gambles knowledge of holistic health practices with the modern science associated with CBD. The CBD industry has expanded rapidly over the past few years, flooding the market with products that dont meet the high standards set by medical professionals. Gamble wanted to provide safe, reliable, and potent CBD products to his patients and new customers alike, bringing legitimacy to the benefits of this popular cannabinoid.

Cannabinoids are a type of chemical found in the cannabis plant. While there are over one hundred different types of cannabinoids, some of the most popular are CBD and THC. THC is the chemical commonly associated with the feeling of being high. By contrast, the majority of full spectrum CBD oil on the market contains under .3% THC, meaning it offers the therapeutic effects yet is non-psychoactive.

Dr. Gs sets itself apart from other CBD brands by ensuring its products contains 0% THC so they can be used by a wider variety of customers. The method by which Dr. Gs removes the remaining .3% THC utilizes a hydrogen gas extraction process, leaving no chance of any intoxicating effects.

Besides its lower than average THC content, Dr. Gs says flavor is a primary selling point for its tinctures. Dr. Gs OG Strawberry Dropswere developed after Dr. Gamble noticed a disappointing trend in CBD products. I tried a lot of these products that tasted like dirt, or tree bark, says Gamble. I wanted to make something people would actually enjoy taking because remember, youre holding it under your tongue, you want it to be pleasant. So far, these strawberry drops have been a hit with every customer demographic and have been one of Dr. Gs best-selling products to date.

Dr. Gs makes a wide assortment of quality CBD products in addition to its tinctures, including topicals like Dr. Gs Spicy/Cool Soothing Body Balm. Body balm uses capsicum to add heat to affected areas, a common therapy for muscle tension relief, followed by the cooling sensation of lavender and wintergreen and a healthy dose of full spectrum CBD oil.

Dr. Gs is proud to be able to educate its customers about the difference in using real, high-quality CBD, and the brand has been expanding throughout the year to increase its exposure. Dr. Gs OG Strawberry Drops are currently listed via a host of online CBD retailers, with more availability to come over before the end of 2020.

A guide to CBD products with Professor Mike Barnes – Health Europa

Posted: September 19, 2020 at 10:07 pm

CBD is the non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant, and many people are turning to CBD products to help ease problems such as anxiety and insomnia. More than six million people in the UK have used CBD, but with so many products to choose from knowing what to buy can be difficult for consumers.

Professor Mike Barnes, cannabis expert, neurologist, of The Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society and Maple Tree Consultants, tells Medical Cannabis Networks editor Stephanie Price more about what to look for when buying CBD products.

CBD interacts with a cell-signalling system in our bodies called the endocannabinoid system. Cannabinoids interact with the system to create anti-epileptic and painkilling effects, for example, and can help with sleep and anxiety (from pathological to general), and can also have an anti-inflammatory effect. However, some CBD products may be of better quality than others, and some products may not contain any traces of CBD despite the information on the label.

Professor Barnes said: People have to be more careful about the cheaper end of the CBD product spectrum as they are not necessarily good quality products. What you would need is to look out for proper labelling, milligrammes per ml if it is an oil, or amount of milligrammes in the cream you need to know how much CBD you are actually getting.

It is also possible to ask for a certificate of analysis which will come with good quality products, so you know exactly what you are getting in that batch. This will also indicate what other cannabinoids are in it, such as CBG. Some manufacturers also have CGMP standard products, which means it is made to European standard this is likely to be the top price end, but you can guarantee the consistency and quality of the product as it will be manufactured as if it was a pharmaceutical product. If a product is organic you can guarantee there are no pesticides in the product. There are many sites online that can give you information on products to these standards.

There is no doubt we need more regulation in the CBD market. There have been several studies that show that in quite a lot of cases, what is on the label is not always what is in the bottle, and nor does the proportion of CBD necessarily reflect whats stated on the label either.

The Novel Foods regulation that was being contemplated in Europe, which has now been put on hold, is a bit like taking a proverbial sledgehammer to crack a nut. We do need regulation, but not over regulation.

The majority of over the counter CBD products are derived from hemp and must contain no detectable THC. These products do not make medical claims, but many people use them to supplement their lifestyles.

Barnes said: Hemp largely has CBD in it, along with some terpenes, but there seems to be extra benefit from the full-spectrum products that come from the full cannabis plant, meaning the product has all of the cannabinoids in it and many terpenes and flavonoids. So, the more of these compounds it has in it, the better the medical effect. However, the full cannabis plant has a larger amount of THC, meaning they cannot be used to make over the counter products.

So, CBD products can provide some help regarding conditions, however, will not be as effective as cannabis products that require a prescription.

CBD comes in all shapes and sizes, from tinctures to creams and foods, with the most common being CBD oil. So, what is the difference between these products?

Oil is held under the tongue rather than just swallowed as it is less effective, said Barnes. It is very useful to take a fatty food before taking CBD oil, such as a teaspoon of mayonnaise, as the CBD will be absorbed much better with fatty foods. Tinctures are similar but made with alcohol and get into the system in the same way. Creams and balms are for putting on inflamed joints or a painful muscle.

There are all sorts of other CBD products, such as rollers, bathbombs, soap, and food products containing CBD such as chocolate, tea, wine, and beer. These products may be fine for wellness but a bathbomb, for example, although relaxing, has probably non-existent medical benefits. Many of these products are often about marketing hype, however, CBD is a good medical and wellness product we do not want to see its usefulness diluted.

CBD flower is a very grey area, says Barnes. You cannot sell flower without a Controlled Drugs License. You can sell the extracted products as long as it meets the THC limits, but you cannot sell the flower it comes from. An industrial hemp licence is needed to grow hemp and the flower then has to been thrown away.

People who have pain will benefit from a high CBD flower, however, they will need a prescription for it.

CBD has taken the sports world by storm and many sportspeople are beginning to use the product for injuries. However, there is confusion for some over whether CBD can act as a performance enhancing supplement.

CBD is of benefit particularly for muscle aches and pains which sportspeople often get, said Barnes. It also has great anti-inflammatory effects so you can reduce inflammation in overworked muscle. It can also help with relaxation and anxiety relief, so it could help people before they perform, for example.

It is not a performance enhancing supplement. It might make you less anxious and therefore make you perform better, so there is a tenuous link, but it is not like steroids.

As many countries across the world tackle changing cannabis legislation it can be confusing for customers looking to travel with shop bought and prescription CBD products. Ensuring that the product is legal in the country being visited is vital if travellers do not want to have their products confiscated or incur penalties or charges.

Barnes said: You have to be certain about the regulation in the country you are visiting. Much of Europe does allow hemp-based CBD with less than 0.2% THC, but each country has slightly different amounts. It is also worth knowing where you are travelling through, so for example, if you are travelling through Dubai where CBD is illegal and you get caught with it in the airport, you can incur major penalties.

You can export it and import it usually without any great problem. If you have a prescribed THC product, for example, you can usually take it with you, however, sometimes you need a licence. If you carry a prescribed product you should take a prescription with you and maybe an explanatory note from your doctor.

Michigan hemp farmer educating others to clear the air of common misconceptions about the crop – WTOL

Posted: at 10:07 pm

Mike Gaynier is about to harvest his first hemp crop after seeing a growth in the CBD market. He wants people to know a few key things about hemp.

ERIE, Mich. It's a weed, but not the weed your thinking of.

In Erie, Michigan, farmers are learning about the reality and misconceptions of growing hemp in the Midwest.

Mike Gaynier's background is in agriculture insurance, but since the 2018 Farm Bill passed opening up the door so more people can grow hemp, he's been interested.

"I saw where this was going and I thought it was an opportunity for my customers, for me - I own land, but for my customers to diversify a little bit," Gaynier said.

In a few weeks, he'll be able to harvest his first crop with Green Farms Company where the hemp will be used for their line of CBD products.

"There's salves, there's balms, there's CBD oil, there's gummies for people, there's gummies for animals to remove anxiety," Gaynier said.

Families that have been farming for generations are also switching over to the crop seeing how quickly the industry has grown.

"There is just a little extra something here in this area and we've tried to put our finger on it, but it's just the weather patterns and the soil conditions and everything, so we're hoping to get something a little bit different, something special out of our hemp plants," farmer Darren Koraleski said.

Gaynier says while it might look the same, stealing hemp plants from farmers like him won't give you that desired buzz, since there's close to no THC.

"We had some curious people come in the back of the field and chop out 20 plants because I'm sure they thought it was marijuana. I'm here to tell you, you could eat that entire plant and not get high," Gaynier said.

Once these plants are heavier and ready to harvest, it's going to be another three years before this same land can be used for hemp again.

The Valens Company Manufactures Record Number of Product SKUs in the Third Quarter of Fiscal 2020 – Sports Grind Entertainment

Posted: at 10:07 pm

At the Kansas City Federal Reserves virtual Jackson Hole economic-policy symposium, Fed chairman Jerome Powell drove a final stake into the legendary inflation fighter Paul Volckers Fed. The new orthodoxy promises easy money as far as the eye can see and holds that inflation is good not Venezuelan and Zimbabwean hyperinflation of course, just a moderate dose thus ensuring that a dollar every year is worth less. Americans should be afraid.

Powell announced the Feds new inflation-averaging strategy. The central bank is changing how it defines and attempts to achieve the 2 percent inflation target, which it adopted on its own authority in 2012. Henceforth, the Fed will attempt to catch up for past inflation shortfalls. Powell warned that inflation below its desired level, which our enlightened central bankers have decreed is 2 percent, can lead to an unwelcome reduction in inflation expectations, causing lower inflation. Joe and Sally Sixpack, however, would view gas, steak, and dental check-up prices not rising as welcome.

Additionally, the Fed chairman declared the central bank would not, as it has in the past, preemptively raise interest rates to stave off higher inflation when unemployment falls below its natural rate.

The new policy has an asymmetric pro-inflation bias. Americas central bankers are not contemplating deflationary policies to offset excessive past inflation. If inflation were 5 percent in period one, the Fed would try to bring it down to 2 percent in period two, not to negative 1 percent.

The Fed is a masterful political actor. Powell touted The Fed Listens events as connecting with the American people. All well and good, but it is Congress, which represents the American people, that the Fed is supposed to heed.

The Fed isnt independent or the policymaker. It is an instrument of Congress, which by statute directs it to conduct monetary policy to achieve stable prices, maximum employment, and moderate low-term interest rates. Stable prices mean inflation hovering around zero, not prices doubling every 35 years. If a 200-pound MMA fighters weight increased 2 percent every year to 244 pounds after a decade, nobody would suggest his weight was stable.

Story continues

Shame on the Fed for redefining its role under the law. But shame on Congress for not insisting the central bank hew to statute.

If Congress wants inflation, it should pass legislation changing the Feds mandate to that effect, which President Trump or Biden would likely sign. But while many congressional cravens may want inflation, few want to go on record voting for it.

Powell allowed, Many find it counterintuitive that the Fed would want to push up inflation. No kidding. Money is a unit of account, a means of exchange, and a store of value. Stable money is a sine qua non of stable, prosperous, free societies. Theres enormous value in the dollar remaining constant for consumers and firms planning, transacting, and saving. Imagine a world where a yard continually changed.

The received wisdom is that deflation is bad. Precipitous deflation is harmful. However, gentle deflation benefits many firms and individuals. During much of the 19th century the U.S. enjoyed mild deflation.

To bolster inflation the Fed is keeping real wholesale interest rates negative.

Interest rates are the price of present versus future investment and consumption. They are the economys most important price, dynamically signaling where and when capital should be allocated to maximize value.

Keeping interest rates artificially low, as the Fed has done for nearly two decades, causes systemic malinvestment, incentivizes excessive risk-taking, and sustains zombie firms, making society poorer, and is sowing the seeds for the next crisis. It punishes savers and creditors.

There are, however, powerful constituencies for easy money. Americas biggest borrower, the federal government, loves it. Real-estate developers and brokers and much of Wall Street also vigorously support cheap debt.

With everyone focused on the COVID-19 pandemic and recession, inflation is low on peoples list of concerns, but its brewing. From December 2019 to August 24, 2020, the monetary base (M1) increased 35 percent. The Feds real benchmark interest rate is negative. The pandemic has crimped production. As America limps out of the crisis and the velocity of money the rate at which money turns over recovers, its a recipe for inflation.

Since the Feds creation in 1913, its policies have massively debased the dollar and caused or contributed to multiple economic crises, including the Great Depression and the Great Recession, devastating job and wealth creation. While the central bank can affect price levels, easy money cant increase sustainable long-term employment and wealth. Congress should, therefore, eliminate any doubt about what the Fed can and should do by doing away with its dual mandate, narrowly focusing it on maintaining stable prices, something that it is equipped to deliver.

The Future of Skincare: Get Glowing with QULCBD – Cannabis Now

Posted: at 10:07 pm

QULCBD represents the next generation of skincare, beauty and wellness. Combining the highest quality ingredients with the most advanced technology, QULCBDs formulators came up with a new, luxury CBD skincare line that launched in California last year.

Unlike most other U.S.-based CBD skincare lines on the market that utilize CBD isolate and basic ingredients like coconut oil, QULCBD was created with the intent to be competitive with top European skincare brands like La Mer, Natura Bisse, La Prairie and Chantecaille. On their search for the perfect formulation, QULCBD founders attended a Parisian skincare show where they discovered just how effectiveprobiotics and microalgae are when paired together. Probiotics help maintain a healthy balace of bacteria that results in younger, healthier and more radiant skin that is more resilient against aging, pollution and the sun.

So the founders decided to pair these ingredients with pure, small-batch, full-spectrum CBD and a myriad of other pure, power-packed ingredients including Rubescens Scenedesmus, Retinol, Marshmallow Root, Milk Thistle, Rose Hip Oil, Trehalose and Galactoarabinan. Now a patent-pended formula, no other company can legally combine these ingredients in their skincare products.

Adding high-quality, USA-farmed, full-spectrum CBD to the already effective ingredients featured in QULCBD products gives users all the increased benefits of this power-packed plant, which is known for its soothing properties and assists in maintaining healthy, youthful and glowing skin. The full-spectrum CBD contains less than 0.3% THC and includes pure fatty acids found in hemp, important cannabinoids such as CBN, CBG, and CBC, along with a natural combination of terpenes sourced from Hemp extract that contains as many as 110 different minor cannabinoids.

QULCBDs popular Glow Kit includes four signature products from their scientifically formulated beauty line that synergistically work together to keep you glowing all day and night. The kit gives consumers a way to try out a whole new skincare routine and product line at a more accessible price point.

We want our amazing products to be affordable for anyone to use, but still high end, said Shaya Mulcahy, QULCBDs Skincare Specialist. She added that the entire price of the Glow Kit at $399 is what one might pay for just a single moisturizer from one of the aforementioned luxury European skincare brands, which do not include any superior ingredients over what QULCBD offers.

Knowledge is power and knowing how your skin reacts to the ingredients in products is critical to finding the best product for your body and skincare goals, and the QULCBD beauty line, in my experience, has worked for all skin types, said Morgan Kelly, QULCBDs Senior Skincare Expert.

Karol M., identified as a Next Generation of Skincare user says, for being a mom and being tired, these products combined have made my skin come back to life. QUL is more than cool.

Below, we break down how each product in this four-step skincare system works, and the amazing ingredients that make them up.

QULCBDs Glow Kit features signature products scientifically formulated for their 4-step skincare system: Exfoliating Cleanser, Anti-Aging Moisturizer, Gl Serum, and Night Repair Moisturizer.

QULCBD wants to make your skincare regime effortless and enjoyable. The company believes in full transparency, and their formulas are very straight forward and efficacious, while the system is easy and quick. The products are effective across various skin types. This allows one to see results and stay committed to a daily routine.

STEP 1: Exfoliate with QULCBDs Exfoliating Cleanser

See effective results immediately with QULCBDs sulfate-free Exfoliating Cleanser, as it travels deep into pores to remove the impurities and helps condition the skin.

The gel-based cleanser offers exfoliation two ways physically and chemically. Both are essential in the removal of dead skin and sebum build-up, which causes breakouts. When both methods are used in a routine, the skin will appear brighter and clearer.

Since the exfoliator uses apricot powder instead of grains, it is extremely fine. This means it safely opens pores without causing any microtears in the skin.

Its a gentle cleanser that can be used daily, even on sensitive skin, Mulcahy explained. And with CBD in the product, it keeps your skin hydrated as you cleanse.

Key Ingredients:

STEP 2: Hydrate with QULCBDs Anti-Aging Moisturizer

Rich in antioxidants, QULCBDs lightweight Anti-Aging Moisturizer combinesfull-spectrum CBDwith a power-blend ofmicro-algaeand probiotics to providehydrationandanti-agingbenefits.

Unlike the majority of skincare routines, QULCBDs moisturizer is intended to be applied before the Glo Serum. This is because the serum is an oil made with more than 15 different oil botanicals. If you were to apply the serum first, then the moisturizer would not be able to penetrate through the serum.

Key Ingredients:

STEP 3: Nourish with QULCBDs Glo Serum

The QULCBD Gl Serum is designed as a beautiful daytime finishing oil for all skin types. It can be applied based on the preference of the user and does not feel heavy or greasy.

Smoothing, firming and calming ingredients in the Glo Serum fortify and strengthen the natural skin barrier while adding extra nourishment that provides immediate smoothness. This leaves your skin dewy, firm and glowing.

Key Ingredients:

STEP 4: Repair & Rejuvenate with QULCBDs Night Repair Moisturizer

QULCBDs rejuvenating Night Repair Moisturizer contains high levels of quality ingredients, including full-spectrum CBD (hemp extract), retinol, and double the probiotics and micro-algae. Encouraging cell turnover on a deeper level, this nighttime moisturizer is specifically intended to provide immediate and ongoing beautiful, youthful skin.

It combines proven active and natural ingredients to give you the best results possible, Mulcahy said.

Key Ingredients:

BONUS: Wind Down with the Vegan Vanilla CBD Tincture

Take your beauty and self-care routine to the next level by adding one of QULCBDs tinctures to your wellness regime. With 800mg of full-spectrum CBD, the Vanilla CBD tincture is enhanced with natural vanilla flavor while maintaining terpenes and minor cannabinoids. This allows for the entourage effect to take place, giving you all the beneficial aspects of CBD. Add to your herbal tea, and wind down at the end of the day for a restful nights sleep.

How to use QUL Tinctures:Shake well before using. Using provided dropper, take desired amount daily. Repeat as needed at home or on the run as a powerful hemp extract facial oil.

For a limited time, a free vegan, Vanilla CBD Tincture is included in the QULCBD Glow Kit.

After a long journey searching to find the perfect curation of ingredients, QULCBD is proud to offer a simple and effective, but luxurious skincare line for dewy, healthy skin all day and night. Handcrafted and extensively tested, QULCBD products incorporate only the best ingredients.

All products contain the highest quality USA-farmed, full-spectrum CBD, which is extracted by hand and harvested with care. The Esthetician-approved line is cruelty-free, sulfate-free, gluten-free, and Vegan friendly (all tinctures are Vegan).

The Glow Skin Care Kit specifically gives people interested in focusing more on their skincare a great way to see how important and effective all steps in a routine are. Each product and step in the process supports each other to give you the most radiant skin possible.

Martha Stewart can truly do it all. Whether it's mastering new recipes or the art of the thirst trap, we simply must bow down. And her latest venture has already created a lot of buzz because let's face it, we could all use an excuse to chill the hell out. The lifestyle maven has just launched her own line of CBD products and, of course, they look and taste amazing.

She teamed up with Canopy Growth Corporation to create a namesake line of CBD wellness gummies, soft gels, and oil drops, all of which are inspired by some of Martha's favorite recipes and ingredients. If you've ever tried to choke down the ropey taste of traditional CBD oil (guilty!), these will look like heaven to you. Plus, they have the signature Martha Stewart look that you'll be happy to display.

Each product is naturally flavored, made in the USA with hemp-derived CBD isolate, and is beloved by Martha herself, which is truly the only stamp of approval I ever need. In a release, Martha said she particularly prides herself on the flavors, which closely resemble "the French confections, pte de fruits, rather than the sticky, overly sweet versions you might find elsewhere." Of course she had to throw a little shade in there. It's Martha! And with CBD products that taste like Meyer lemon, kumquat, and blood orange, we get why.

You can find the full range here, but for some product examples, you can get a 30-count container of gummies for $34.99, softgels for $44.99, and a container of oil drops for $44.99.

Houstons Long-Awaited CBD Coffee Shop Sets an Opening Date in the Heights – Eater Houston

Posted: at 1:20 am

Amsterdam Co. Coffeehouse, Houstons long-awaited destination for coffee spiked with CBD oil, is just about ready to open its doors in the Heights.

Owners Michael Migl and Drew Bailey tell Eater that the shop will kick open its doors at 807 West 19th Street on September 21, after more than a year in the works. The debut is somewhat of a soft opening, with the team at Amsterdam Co. Coffeehouse using that time to perfect the menu of coffee drinks, cold-pressed juices, and snacks, all infused with cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis that can purportedly reduce anxiety, insomnia, and chronic pain.

As far as the drinks are concerned, look forward to a traditional menu of espresso drinks lattes, cappuccinos, espresso shots, and the like, along with specialty drinks like a popular Dutch coffee drink, Cascara coffee, vegan hot chocolate, and chai lattes. We dont really believe in the CBD-infused coffee, says Migl. We want to promote adding it yourself, or us adding it for you if thats what you want. To that end, Amsterdam Coffeehouse will add CBD to its drinks via drops of an oil-based tincture, along with a CBD-infused sugar option.

In addition to the coffee drinks, Amsterdam Co. Coffeehouse will also carry a variety of CBD-infused products, ranging from topical lotions intended to ease aches and pains to candies and other edibles. Were working with reputable companies, like Cookies and Cheeba Chews and Punch Edibles, that are already operating and making THC-infused products where theyre legal, Bailey says.

Amsterdam Coffeehouse also has plans in the works for educational events held at the shop, ranging from latte art competitions to coffee cuppings and CBD dinner pairings with local chefs.
