It is a no brainer that during uncharted times like this everyones anxiety is going to go up a level. No one knows what is exactly going on we are all learning about this together. As we have been ordered to stay home a mandatory exercise for our own good, its only natural that our mind starts to go further than our bodies do. I was a little worried I must say, so here is what I did to make sure I dont get out of this pandmeic chubbier on the hips and with just half a deck!

Come up with a schedule

Creating a schedule that fit my 8-5 job requirements as well my 4 year olds energy levels was a little daunting to say the least. But nevertheless to come out successful at the end of this, I had to come up with a schedule that we now follow as a family. To start with, I changed my alarm from 6:00 am to 5:00 am. Why you may ask, because it was the only time I could find for myself. Starting the day off this way will help deflate any stressful situations that are likely to come up simply because no one was mentally equipped to adapt in the way that we have. Its a good quiet time to collect yourself and your thoughts together and be ready for the challenging day ahead. My routine starts with warm water with a squirt of lemon and a 20 minute exercise with some of the home workout equipment we have around the house.

Eat a healthier diet

Eating a healthy diet with all the rainbow colors on your plate is more essential than you think. Its not only our minds that are going through this change but so is our body. All of a sudden it is not moving as much and is limited within the walls of our home. Since exercising in your own home is not a luxury that everyone has, making the right choices as to what goes in can be of paramount importance during these challenging times! Fun home workout videos have been overpopulating online for all to follow using the furniture and home decor they have around the house.

Clean your house

Sounds weird to say that, because we all clean our house anyway!! But during times like this, where there is a viral pandemic going around causing deaths in the cities and villages we know and love, disinfecting your home can actually calm you down. Knowing that you are keeping your family and home safe and bacteria free will allow you to feel less stressed they do say cleaning helps your stay calm.

Breathe

You read that right! Breathing the number one factor that plays a big role in regards to anxiety. Find a hobby that will allow you to let go and breathe deeply and slowly. Pick up a painting hobby, a gardening hobby,I know a lot of people have started baking and cooking, perhaps you would like to sharpen your coffee making skills. The latest video I saw floating on social media was your typical Joe making foamed milk for his espresso. I tell you, this pandemic is making us all better. By the end of this quarantine we will all be better versions of ourselves with more refined skills than we had! Just breathe.

Remember this is new to all of us, and I think we as earth citizens have made a great job coming together as one. Whether it be on social media, creating vlogs and uploading fun videos on how people are spending their days, or sharing their experiences on their blogs about how to homeschool, keep a schedule and prepare meals. We are also beginning to value what we once took for granted, just a small reminder to be thankful and count our blessings everyday because even in times like this as we discuss how to keep busy at home and stay sane, there are many who dont have one at all.
