The children of Wycliffe Bible missionaries will receive full-tuition scholarships to Liberty University, beginning this year. The scholarships are available to Bible translators who serve in field mission assignments.

Liberty University has been a longtime supporter of Wycliffes work around the world and a solid training ground for many Wycliffe staff members, said Bob Creson, president and CEO of the Orlando-based Wycliffe USA.

Wycliffe, working in 97 countries, employsmore than 7,000 translators, linguists, aviators, humanitarian workers, educators and administrators.

The Lynchburg, Va.-baseduniversity has also launched the Center for Global Engagement Loan Forgiveness Program, which benefits graduates who enter the mission field overseas.

This new program is a prime example of Libertys unwavering commitment to the fulfillment of the Great Commission, said Rev. Johnnie Moore, senior vice president of communications for Liberty University. We want to help missionary families even as we are preparing the next generation of future missionaries, and were proud to be providing more generous support than any other university in Christian history to missionary families.

The loan forgiveness programwill pay up to 20 percent per year of the balance of federal student loans up to $30,000 per individual. Qualificationsinclude acceptance into an evangelical sending agency such as Wycliffe for service that includestranslation of the Bible in a language in which it has never been available before.
