LAS VEGAS (KTNV) As of last Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is no longer recommending mask-wearing inside or outside for fully vaccinated people. It didnt take long for Las Vegas to take advantage.

Many places here are dropping the requirement for fully vaccinated locals and tourists alike.

"It's very comfortable. We arent getting rushed by anybody for the mask mandate. Im vaccinated so if they do say anything I just show them my card. It kind of feels like home in a way which is really weird," says Las Vegas tourist Jacob.

While the Las Vegas Strip is filled with tourists not wearing masks, the Culinary Union, whose number one goal is to protect its workers has put out a statement saying: workers who arent comfortable not wearing a mask can still do so. They expect employers and fellow employees to treat people who opt to still wear one with respect.

The Culinary Union released a statement on Friday. You can read it here.

There are those who feel comfortable either way.

Another tourist, Isaiah says: "I feel comfortable walking around not wearing it but I also feel comfortable wearing it so Im just doing it."

Others feel the need to put their masks back on if there are too many people.

"I am comfortable but at times when it gets a little too crowded it gets a little weary. Its brand new. We dont really know how effective the vaccination is so i just wear just because. Ive been doing it for a year," Las Vegas tourist Charvette told us.

You can find a list of places that are requiring and not requiring mask HERE.
