A week after rap star Nicki Minaj raised eyebrows with her controversial Grammy Awards performance, Atlanta's Waka Flocka Flame has come to his mother's ex-client's defense.

Along with backing up Nicki, Flocka killed speculation suggesting she may be down with the Illuminati (devil worshipping).

"I ain't got no thoughts on that, that's bullsh*t. Honeslty, -- n*ggas just make up names 'cause they don't know people's business," Flocka said in an interview. "So they create business for people's business. Like, if people stop being so nosy and stay out of people's business, maybe the name Illuminati won't be created. Honestly, they're just making a lot of money off of that sh*t because they selling books to people that's buying it, and that money is generating millions. I don't believe in that sh*t. Salute to Nicki, I loved her performance. I love everything she does. Squad." (Toronto Rappers)

A few days ago, Young Money's Lil Twist also stood up for Minaj.

"I loved Nicki's song and performance," Twist beamed to XXLMag.com in New York City recently. "I love Nicki's whole swagger. She doesn't care what anyone else thinks. That's what I really love about my sister and how she goes about herself. That performance was Nicki. That's all I can, say--it was so Nicki." (XXL Mag)

Catholic League president Bill Donohue recently aired out the self-proclaimed Barbie's religious-themed set.

"Nicki Minaj, fresh off looking like a fool with Madonna at the Super Bowl, showed up last night (February 12) on the red carpet at the Grammys with a guy dressed like the pope. This was just a prelude of what was to come. Minaj's performance began on stage with a mock confessional skit. This was followed by a taped video depicting a mock exorcism. With stained glass in the background, she appeared on stage again with choir boys and monks dancing. Perhaps the most vulgar part was the sexual statement that showed a scantily clad female dancer stretching backwards while an altar boy knelt between her legs in prayer. Finally, "Come All Ye Faithful" was sung while a man posing as a bishop walked on stage; Minaj was shown levitating." (Catholic League)

Back in 2010, rap veteran Uncle Luke defended hip-hop mogul Jay-Z in light of his devil worshipping accusations.

"I don't know any devil worshippers. And who knows, maybe Jay-Z and other rappers have some devil worshipers as fans. But that doesn't mean entertainers are sacrificing virgins for Beelzebub. I didn't even know who the Illuminati were until the Internet started buzzing that Jay-Z was one of them. It's ridiculous. Jay-Z is a cool cat. He ain't Hollywood. He is a regular guy. He is so f*cking grounded. It is a shame people want to link him to this conspiracy." (The 305)
