If you visit this spot be careful and do not underestimate the power of the waves and the danger in this area. A good rule of thumb is to avoid wet rocks when around this area of the island. While a huge wave can still hit rocks that are completely dry it should serve to show you where the water has been coming up to and around the area. If you are not familiar with the ocean then you are better off just watching from the high ground at the lookout point. Some people have died here because they were screwing around and got too close to the blowhole and fell in and others were just fishermen that were swept out to sea.
