Less than five months after Dustin Johnson won the green jacket in November, the 2021 tournament is underway in Augusta, Georgia. Here is what you need to know before betting on the Masters.

Dustin Johnson: The worlds No. 1 ranked golfer broke the Masters tournament record in November with an impressive 20-under. In February, he claimed the Saudi Invitational Title (European Tour) with a 2-under 68 in the final round. Johnson is the man to beat. Odds: +1000

Justin Thomas: He hasnt won a major in four years, but Thomas finished fourth in last falls Masters and is a hot pick to win in 2021. Thomas is the worlds second-ranked golfer after victory at the Players Championship in March, closing with rounds of 64 and 68. Odds: +900

Jordan Spieth: The Texas native returned to PGA prominence last week with a victory at the Valero Texas Open Speiths first tour win in almost four years. He won the green jacket in 2015 at age 21. Will history finally repeat itself? Odds: +1100

Rory McIlroy: It seems strange placing McIlroy among the underdogs, but hes missed the cut in two of his last four events. He might have been in contention for the fall Masters, tying for fifth at 14-under, but a disastrous first round (+3) put McIlory behind. He needs a good start this week: Odds: +1800

Xander Schauffele: The 27-year-old California native started the year with three consecutive top-five finishes, but then missed the cut at the Players Championship. Schauffele was co-runner up at the 2019 Masters (12-under). Odds: +2,000

Viktor Hovland: The 2018 U.S. Amateur champion has two PGA tour wins under his belt (Puerto Rico Open/Mayakoba Golf Classic) and is poised for a breakout 2021 season. Hovland, a former NCAA team champion at Oklahoma State, already has four top-10 finishes this year. Odds: +3,300

1. Playoffs? Youre kidding me. Playoffs? There have been 17 playoffs in the history of the Masters with the last one taking place in 2017 when Sergio Garcia beat Justin Rose. Oddsmaker BetMGM has +450 odds that this years tournament will see the 18th.

2. So fresh and so clean. Who are the top choices to have a bogey-free round? Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm have the best shot at +300, according to BetMGM. The worst chance of the golfers listed? Ian Woosnam at +5,000.

3. Living in America. The odds the winning golfer will be an American is -164, according to sportsbetting.com. A European winner is +280, while a winner from somewhere else in the world is +350.

4. Bullseye.Will there be a hole in one? Sportsbetting.com thinks so, putting the odds of one happening at -175.

5. Wire-to-wire finish. Sportsbook Bovada has the odds at +900 that the winning golfer will lead from beginning to end. The odds it wont happen? -3,300.

6. Utter blowout. Dustin Johnson won last years tournament by five strokes. It was the largest margin since Tiger Woods trampled the competition by 12 in 1997. The odds the winning golfer will win by four or more strokes is +225, according to Bovada. Its better than a three-stroke advantage, which comes in at +550.
