BDS Campaign in South Africa
The anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign has gained the attention of the South African government as it takes steps to highlight Israel #39;s illegal policies against the Palestinians. In recent years activists have achieved a number of successes including a National radio campaign for boycotting Israeli artists, Ben Gurion University academically, sending aid convoys to Gaza as well as planning to label products made in the occupied Palestinian land. These efforts have also been taken up by companies who now refuse to do business with the Zionist regime. In light of these developments, Israel has begun sending so-called "Peace Delegations" to South Africa to present itself as a tolerant, multicultural society which respects the rights of all. On this week #39;s INFocus, we will look into the various achievements by the broad coalition of activists campaigning for Palestinian freedom. We will also speak to the South African government on its policies toward the Zionist regime.
