Summerville sign: Free speech or offensive language?

Summerville, SC --

A political sign in Summerville is causing some controversy. Some people find it offensive others say it's merely an opinion.

I pray the west coast and the northeast fall into the ocean.

Is posted on a sign along Highway 176 in Summerville and judging by whats on the other side of the sign, it probably has something to with a certain group of voters.

Those who are offended or a little amused stopped to take a picture with their smart phone to send friends or to post on their favorite social networking site. It is a message suited for such activity but the sign owner went old school, posting his take in the election along a busy stretch of road.

"Did you vote for Obama? Thanks a lot a**holes! I'm Wayne Hall and I approved this message."

News 2 caught up to Wayne Hall at his home in Goose Creek. Hall says he is a political independent; his business Azalea Landscaping closed months ago, but whats with the sign?

Well it's a free country and I have a right to my view just like anybody else does. Those words, hell you could hear those words on Nickelodeon, ABC Family, any channel.

Hall says he changes the messages on the sign often and because of the nature of the messages the sign has been vandalized, but he continues on. He pushed the envelope a little more this time with the profanity making the sign, for those we talked to, a serious concern or a minor nuisance.

You got kids; you got a high school all the way down to an elementary school right down the street.
