Konami has announced that its become the official video gaming partner of one of the most successful Spanish football teams in history, Valencia CF, for its Pro Evolution Soccer series. This will see the La Liga clubs full squad along with all the kits replicated in the forthcoming PES 2018. Valencia has won a number of trophies over the years, but recently its success has waned somewhat following the glory of the Benitez years, where they won two La Liga titles and a UEFA Cup.

This announcement is obviously Konami wanting to license some of the worlds biggest teams (and Fulham) for the PES series. As official partners, Konami and Valencia will launch a series of digital co-promotions throughout the year, with Konami contributing PES 2018 visuals for use on Valencias social media. Valencia will also host future PES esports competitions at its iconic Mestalla stadium throughout the season.

Jorge Garca, Valencia CF Head of Marketing, Commercial and Fan Experience Area, said that hes delighted with this partnership, and further showed how enthusiastic he was stating that, were looking forward to seeing the spectacular images of our players in the new and future editions of the PES series.

So now everyone is happy and understandably chuffed, we can move on with things in the world. Theyre happy, Valencia fans are happy and Fulham fans are happy. The full list of licensed teams will be revealed at Gamescom 2017 according to the PES Global Product and Brand Manager, Adam Bhatti.

PES 2018 will be released on September 14 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
