CBD oil, also known more formally as medical cannabis, is a term used to describe any cannabis-based medicine. A retrospective study in the US has found that CBD can improve sleep and anxiety. Conducted in 2019, they found that 25 milligrams of CBD oil daily for one month and in capsule form worked for 80 percent of participants in the study. CBD oil is becoming increasingly popular as a way to treat conditions that were otherwise treated with more traditional medicines.

Before this another review found that it could be used to treat some forms of chronic pain.

As opposed to its cousin, THC, CBD does not have any psycho-active effect on its users.

CBD oil can be used to help relieve the symptoms of other mental health conditions, such as depression.

Furthermore, it can also be used to treat some epilepsy syndromes and seizures.

Three years ago, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved it for use under the name Epidiolex in patients as young as two.

It appears 2018 was a big year for CBD oil.

During that year a small study investigated CBDs benefits for those suffering with PTSD.

Out of the 11 participants, 10 of them experienced a reduction in their symptoms.

Before you decide to buy some CBD oil for your ailments there is an important warning from the National Health Service.

A lot of cannabis products are available online.

This means you have a lot of choice.

Not all of them are safe and some are potentially dangerous so be very careful unless youre being prescribed CBD oil through the NHS or a private clinician.
