DONALDSONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) The Ascension Parish School Board said yes to a one-time payment for employees in the district.

The payment is for the 2021-22 school year and the school system is providing a breakdown of who will get what and when below:

In a letter sent to employees, Superintendent David Alexander said that each and every one of you is deserving of this one-time payment, which will be distributed in December. You go above and beyond to serve the children in Ascension Parish to ensure they have quality experiences at every touchpoint. What you do absolutely matters!

These eleven Ascension Parish School Board Members approved this one-time payment:

Superintendent Alexander finished the letter by asking everyone to Please be sure to show your appreciation to our Ascension Parish School Board Members for this decision, in addition to the recurring pay increases implemented this past summer, that recognizes your hard work and your essential role in our mission, our vision, and our daily purpose.
