Washington at Vikings: Pioneer Press predictions

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III (Associated Press) and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (Pioneer Press).

BRIAN MURPHY

Vikings 17, Washington 14: Relevance is at stake for two teams coming off emotional overtime victories. It will be close. It will be ugly. Home-field advantage trumps all.

TOM POWERS

Vikings 23, Washington 21: RGIII returns for America's most politically incorrect sports franchise. But he is going to be rusty and the Vikings defense has been very solid. As long as Bridgewater doesn't turn it over, the Vikings should squeeze by at home.

FRAN TARKENTON

Vikings 21, Washington 13: Both teams are coming off overtime road wins, but Washington has the short week after playing Monday in Dallas. RG3 is expected back, but I actually think Washington is better off without him.

CHRIS TOMASSON

Vikings 27, Washington 24: Everson Griffen has enjoyed having quarterbacks for lunch lately. The often-injured Robert Griffin III might still be elusive but he's not the same guy who scorched the Vikings with 138 yards rushing in 2012.
