Will Twitter (TWTR) Stock Be Impacted By Censorship In Turkey?

NEW YORK (TheStreet) --A senior Turkish government official said Twitter (TWTR) will be "more sensitive" in its response to court orders from the Turkish government regarding content removal from the social media website, Reuters reports.

In addition, Twitter will set up a live customer support system in the country that will work to evaluate complaints against the site.

In March, Twitter and the Turkish government disputed leaked wiretapped recordings, which suggested corruption by those closest to Prime Minister Tayyip Erodogan.

Officials in Ankara blocked both Twitter and YouTube (GOOG) after the recordings were posted to the sites; the ban was lifted in April.
