For the third month in a row, New Jerseys online gambling industry took in record revenue. According to numbers shared by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the total online win for the month of September was $41,138,257.

The totals narrowly beat out Augusts high of $41,101,587, and is a nearly 60 percent increase year-over-year from 2018, when the state brought in just $25,752,461.

The Golden Nugget continues to lead the way, with a record $15.6 million in September. Incredibly, this is just $547,763 shy of what the land-based casino brought in during the same time period.

Atlantic Citys smallest brick-and-mortar property earned $16.2 million during the month, showing just how important online revenue has become to the industrys bottom line.

Of course, the vast majority of online gambling revenue comes from other casino games. Poker represented less than four percent of revenue, totaling $1.64 million.

New Jersey is one of four states that offers legal internet gambling. Online gambling made its debut in 2013. Last year, revenue reached a record $298.7 million, which marked a 21.6 percent increase over 2017.

The state taxes online gaming revenue at 17.5 percent.
