SportsHi to Give $35,000 in Scholarships to Female Student AthletesByAndrew CohenAugust 26, 2021

High school sports social media app SportsHi will give $35,000 in college scholarships to five female athletes. The scholarships are sponsored by SportsHi partners, including wearable tech firm Catapult Sports, Atlanta Dream center Elizabeth Williams, sports media startup The Gist, TikTok influencer Anna Shumate, and 1-800 Flowers.

The scholarship campaign was announced alongside Womens Equality Day on Aug. 26. Sports media startup Whistle and the WNBAs Connecticut Sun will also promote SportsHis campaign on their social media channels.More than 15,000 high schools and colleges use SportsHis app to help students athletes connect with college recruiters and scholarship opportunities.

SportHis five new scholarships are open to female students in the U.S. and Canada who are between 13 and 23 years old. The scholarships will be awarded based on a students SportsHi profile, in which they detail their achievements across academics, sports, and extra curricular, and employment. NBA center Andre Drummond previously awarded a $5,000 scholarship through SportsHi.
