1.The Serpents Lair Inis Mor, otherwise known as 'The Wormhole.'

The original name for this mythical looking location is Poll na bPeist.

The sharp edges in the Serpents Lair in the Aran Islands looks as if it was cut using 21 st century machinery. However, the Wormhole was, in fact, formed naturally.

The natural swimming pool was home to the Red Bull Cliff Diving Series in 2017.

2.Bull Rock

This attraction is situated on the Beara Peninsula, Dursey Island in Cork.

Visitors cant get onto the island itself however, you can have a spin around it on a boat tour. You will also get to see Bull Rock Lighthouse and discover the story behind the movie like island.

3.Doon Fort Donegal

This unique fort is situated in the middle of Loghadoon, near Narin and Portnoo. The fort is believed to have belonged to the Breslins and then the OBoyles over its lifetime until it fell into disrepair.

Although the fort is located on a private island, the family rent boats to those who fancy a visit to this fantastic floating fort during the summer.

4.Caves of Keash Co. Sligo

This unique location with jaw-dropping views is believed to predate the Pyramids of Egypt by 500-800 years.

Geological inspections led experts to believe that early man used to live in the caves at Keash.

There are 17 caves to explore in total, making this visit well worth the trip.

5.Donegals secret waterfall

Hidden on the Slieve League peninsula in Donegal, this waterfall nestled between Killybegs and Kilcar is otherworldly.

It is important to be aware of tide times before visiting this hidden gem, and permission must be granted from the local farmer before you can enter.

6.Gougane Barra

Gougane Barra in Co. Cork has the ability to take your breath away with its stunning views and picturesque location.

The rugged mountains encapsulate the large valley and lake, rising over 370 metres, making this a must-see location.

7.Victors Way Indian Sculpture Park

The garden located in the Wicklow Mountains is a one-of-a-kind attraction.

Designed as a meditation garden for adults, Victor's Way discourages family trips with small children as they may disrupt the garden's serenity.

Visitors will enjoy many impressive sculptures immerging from the water as they walk through this relaxing sight.

8.Diamond Hill

Located in Galway, Diamond Hill is perfect for those who enjoy the great outdoors.

It is well worth the hour hike it takes to get there, with breathtaking views surrounding the hill.

Hiking enthusiasts can also take a second track that can take up to three hours to complete.

9.The heart-shaped lake

Located in the Tonelagee Mountains, if you fancy seeing this spectacular lake grab those hiking boots.

The hike can take up to two and a half hours, depending on your pace, but it is well worth it.

The lake snuggled into the Wicklow Mountains makes for a fantastic day out with lots more to see in the area.

10.Aghaigh an Aird or the Devils Chimney

Irelands highest waterfall is a truly hidden gem.

To see this spectacular location, you must complete a 45 minute slightly strenuous walk. However, this hidden waterfall is well worth the sacrifice.

11.The steps on Arranmore Island

Arranmore Island, Donegal, is an unbelievable sight. This remote island is located 5km off the Donegal coast.

The island can be explored by day, having a go at the rocky staircase built into the landscape. At night relax in one of the islands lively pubs and enjoy some traditional music.

12.Downpatrick Head

Close to Ballycastle village in Mayo, the magnificent Dun Briste sea stack is definitely a hidden gem.

Located off the coast of Mayo, this beautiful coastline location is perfect for a day trip and some fantastic photo opportunities.

13.Drimnagh Castle

Irelands only castle with an intact moat, Drimnagh Castle, is straight out of a fairy-tale.

Dated to 1215, the ancient castle occupied a Norman Knight, Hugo de Bernivale, in return for his familys help in the invasion of Ireland.

14.Leap Castle

Believed to be Irelands most haunted castle, Leap is located 6km from Roscrea in Coolderry.

According to legend, a lady in red wanders the castle with a silver blade after dark. It is believed that the woman gave birth to a baby while held captive by the OCarrolls. After the birth, the O'Carrolls killed the woman's baby, leaving her to lurk in the halls.

15.Spike Island

A short ferry ride from the village of Cobh in Cork Spike island played host to a Monastery, a 24-acre fortress and the largest convict depot in the world.

Considered to be Ireland's Alcatraz, Spike Island has a dark and interesting past.
