Biden is delivering the fastest economic recovery in history. Why hasn’t anyone noticed? | TheHill – The Hill
Posted: December 13, 2021 at 2:41 am
Democrats are faced with a sticky problem: The economy is nearing full employment after businesses added 210,000 jobs in November, labor force participation climbed to its highest level since the pandemic and wages are rising across many industries. Yet most voters are increasingly pessimistic about President Bidens economic stewardship.
Im not exactly sure why whats happening isnt being characterized as a booming recovery from a worldwide shutdown, Hawaii Sen. Brian SchatzBrian Emanuel SchatzBiden is delivering the fastest economic recovery in history. Why hasn't anyone noticed? Congress should reject H.R. 1619's dangerous anywhere, any place casino precedent Alabama Republican touts provision in infrastructure bill he voted against MORE (D) mused in a tweet last month. The answer involves a bit of Democratic over-optimism and a whole lot of Republican messaging the Biden administration has been slow to counter.
Schatz is largely right: Under Biden, the American economy has recovered from its Trump-era lows with remarkable speed. Just a year ago, the unemployment rate sat stubbornly at 6.7 percent. Today, only 4.2 percent of Americans are out of work. Similar economic recoveries have normally taken three times as long. The Biden administration is delivering on the fastest sustained economic recovery in American history, yet its messaging struggles to tell that story.
More important for Democrats is that this isnt a paper recovery, where unemployment rates fall because more Americans simply give up looking for work. Much to Democrats relief, the opposite is true for the Biden recovery. The labor force participation rate, the percentage of Americans 16 and older who are working or actively looking for work, just hit pre-pandemic levels. Thats a hugely reassuring development for analysts who initially feared the global pandemic would be a drag on the labor force rate for years to come.
But a surging economic recovery doesnt mean that all is well for regular Americans, and if Democrats want to make jobs and the economy a 2022 campaign issue, theyll need answers for some of the recoverys potholes. Chief among them? Inflation.
A CNBC All-America Economic Survey released this week found that while Americans plan to spend 13 percent more this holiday season great news Bidens media surrogates should be shouting from it also found that more Americans are concerned about rising inflation than about the pandemic. While thats a promising sign that were moving forward from the coronavirus, Democrats are now faced with rising prices and unhappy consumers.
CNBCs survey found 4 in 10 Americans are pessimistic about where the economy is headed, but it should concern the White House that 7 percent more Americans think the economy is getting worse today than did a year ago at the peak of the third coronavirus wave. Not only is that incorrect, it points to Democrats' biggest problem: a conservative media machine pumping out economic disinformation on a 24/7 production schedule.
Republicans want voters to think of their economic gains as temporary and the inflation pinch as permanent. They get the story exactly backwards. That hasnt stopped some conservative outlets from crafting the bogus narrative that inflation is a result of Democratic spending priorities not a side effect of an economy rapidly expanding after a year with its head held underwater. They also fail to mention that wages recently rose by the largest amount in two decades, and American workers will still be pocketing those gains when our post-coronavirus economic supercharge wears off and inflation drops back to regular levels.
If the conservative medias framing is wrong, its also ruthlessly effective in scaring Democrats away from discussing all of the good happening in our economy since January. And like clockwork, skittish moderate Democrats are taking the GOP bait.
We urge additional action by the House of Representatives to further address the disruptions and higher costs our constituents are experiencing, a group of centrist House Democrats, including over a dozen in vulnerable 2022 races, wrote in a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) last week. If Democrats cant get their economic messaging together to convince their own moderates, how do they intend to persuade voters?
At this point, only Biden has the bully pulpit necessary to contain the jitters overtaking his partys lawmakers. Instead of focusing on the numbers, Biden should play to his strengths by connecting each element of the economic recovery to the stories and lived experiences of real Americans the recovery is helping.
It isnt enough to quote charts at Americans who think the economy is worse than it was a year ago Democrats must show them how the Biden administration has stewarded one of the most impressive economic turnarounds in recent memory. Bidens knack for one-on-one connection is an asset to humanizing Democrats economic message, but only if the party has the courage to counter months of unchallenged Republican disinformation.
Americas rapid-fire economic recovery is a historic event. Its time Democrats treated it like one worth celebrating.

All coral reefs in western Indian Ocean at high risk of collapse in next 50 years – The Guardian
Posted: at 2:40 am
All coral reefs in the western Indian Ocean are at high risk of collapse in the next 50 years due to global heating and overfishing, according to a new assessment.
From Seychelles to the Delagoa region off the coast of Mozambique and South Africa, the reef systems are at risk of becoming functionally extinct by the 2070s, with a huge loss of biodiversity, and threatening the livelihoods and food sources for hundreds of thousands of people.
The study, published today in the journal Nature Sustainability, examined coral reefs in 10 countries around the western Indian ocean. It analysed the health of 11 sub-regions using the International Union for the Conservation of Natures (IUCN) red list of ecosystems framework, akin to the method used to examine a plant or animals risk of extinction.
The assessment found reefs in island nations in particular were highly threatened due to rising water temperatures driven by global heating, which is making bleaching events when corals expel algae living in their tissue, causing them to turn completely white more common. Reefs in eastern and southern Madagascar, the Comoros and Mascarene Islands were all classified as critically endangered.
Reefs in north Seychelles and along the entire east African coast were classified as vulnerable to collapse due to overfishing especially of top predators which is altering their ecology and promoting a build-up of different algae that can smother coral.
David Obura, chair of the IUCN corals group, who led the study, said that while the global decline of coral reefs has been established for some time, region-specific assessments of specific regions provided greater clarity about the causes and the extent of the damage.
The most urgent threat is from climate change up to 50 years from now. But while we estimate 50 years into the future, whether we can meet the 1.5C [rise] future or not depends on what we do in the next 10 years. So, its really a 10-year horizon that we have to be concerned about, he said.
The collapse of a reef means it becomes functionally extinct as a reef system. You might still find some species there but they wont be able to construct a reef any more. All of the services we get coastal protection from sea-level rise, tourism, fisheries, especially for low-income households and communities are at risk. The tourism sector is huge in east Africa and it depends on heathy reefs.
Since the 1950s, the worlds coral reef cover has halved due to global heating, overfishing, pollution and habitat destruction. The decline of the ecosystems, which are vital nurseries for juvenile fish globally, is expected to continue as the climate continues to heat.
Mishal Gudka, a senior scientist at Cordio East Africa and a co-author of the study, said their assessment detected overfishing of top predators on all the reefs from which there was data.
These results highlight the need to improve local fisheries management to ensure the health of reef systems and secure sustainable fish stocks, which support jobs for a quarter of a million people in the region, Gudka said.
Alongside cuts to greenhouse gas emissions, Obura said better enforcement of fishery regulations and greater involvement of local communities in reef management could help maintain their survival.
This assessment reaffirms the urgency of the interlinked climate and biodiversity crises addressed by Cop26 last month in Glasgow, and Cop15 [biodiversity summit] in a few months in Kunming. We need to take decisive action to address both global threats to corals from climate change, and local ones, such as overfishing, he said.

Omicron: South Africa health minister declares 4th wave of COVID-19 – Down To Earth Magazine

South Africa was witnessing the fourth wave of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, its health ministerJoe Phaahla said in his statement December 3, 2021, days after the Omicron widget was detected in the country.
He added that the situation this time was much more concerning. There is a much steeper upward curve than has ever been seen in the last three waves, Phaahla said.
He appreciated the countrys Genomic and Surveillance Network for detecting and reporting Omicron.
But he criticised the travel bans imposed on South Africa and the neighbouring countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
These include Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe, the Seychelles and Zambia
Travel restrictions have also been imposed on Ethiopia in east Africa and Nigeria in the western part of the continent.
Doyin Odubanjo, a leading public health expert, said in an interview that such travel bans were of little value. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa too criticised the bans imposed on the African nations and said that they were unscientific.
The bans undermined international cooperation and solidarity in the common fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Ramaphosa said.
He added that South African epidemiologist Salim Abdul Karim had already warned about mutations, which could be more transmissible but less severe.
The number of daily new cases of COVID-19 in South Africa has increased by nearly 13-fold between November 24 and December 4. This is a steep 1,184 per cent increase in 10-days.
The number of new cases per day moved up to 16,366 new cases per day December 4, from a total of 1,275 new cases per day November 24.
Gauteng was the province where Omicron was originally detected. However, it has now been reported from all nine provinces. Of them, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, North West and Mpumalanga had high positivity rates, the health minister said.
Gauteng accounted for over 32 per cent of the 3,020,569 COVID-19 cases as of December 4 in the country, according to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases.
Each of the two provincesKwaZulu-Natal and Western Caperecorded 17.3 per cent of the total COVID-19 infection.
Phaahla said while the new variant had infected vaccinated people, it had led to just mild illness. Most of those admitted to hospitals were unvaccinated or young people below 40 years, most of whom were not vaccinated.
Just 36.8 per cent of South Africas population is fully vaccinated, according to Phaahla. All adults and all children aged 12 years and above are eligible for vaccination.
But, some 63 per cent of the population is yet to be fully vaccinated. The minister urged everyone to get vaccinated.
He called for more vigilance, along with health and safety measures, including wearing of masks, hand washing and sanitising, physical distancing, avoiding crowds and good ventilation to be prioritised.

Euthanasia ‘only Option’ For Whale Washed Ashore – South Gippsland Sentinel-Times
Posted: at 2:40 am
posted by Sentinel-TimesDecember 8, 2021News
A LIVE Humpback whale which washed up at Honeysuckles on Ninety Mile Beach near Seaspray has been euthanised.
Rodney Vile, principal officer wildlife emergencies at Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) said: The Humpback whale is 10 metres long and was first reported on Monday by members of the community, with DELWP and Parks Victoria staff heading straight out to investigate.
The highest priority of crews and agencies working together at the site on Monday was caring for the welfare of the whale, he said.
The whale was assessed and cared for by veterinarians from Zoos Victoria and found to be in very poor condition.
Due to the whales condition, euthanasia was the only option to respond humanely to this event.
The whale was euthanised late Monday evening.
An exclusion zone has been established around the whale while DELWP considers all options for managing the carcass.
It is an offence for people or their dogs to be within 300 metres of a whale.
Whales are protected under the Wildlife Act regardless of whether they are dead or alive. It is an offence for a person to approach, interfere, take or be in possession of parts of a dead whale.
DELWP is working with the relevant agencies to monitor the carcass and determine management options going forward. Cultural Heritage specialists from DELWP, in partnership with Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC), are assisting in management advice for the carcass.
The public are urged to exercise caution as sharks may be present in higher concentration and closer to the shore than normal. A shark warning has been put in place for the local area. Keep informed of the latest information on the VicEmergency website and app.

Swiss Supreme Court overturn sentence of doctor who assisted the suicide of healthy elderly woman – JURIST
Posted: at 2:40 am
The Switzerland Federal Court overturned the conviction of a Geneva doctor who helped a healthy elderly woman in an assisted suicide so that she did not outlive her terminally ill husband.
Originally found guilty in 2019, Pierre Beck was sentenced to 120 days suspended jail sentence for breaking federal law. He administered a lethal dose of pre-anesthetic pentobarbital and a strong sedative to intentionally help end the life of an 86 year old woman. He was found guilty under the Therapeutic Products Act (TPA) and article 115 of the Swiss Criminal Code. That code states that assisted suicide based on selfish motives is punishable by imprisonment.
Appealing the case, the Federal Court overturned the 2019 decision finding that the TPA was invalid in this instance, as there is no medical indication for the prescription of pentobarbital, which is not used therapeutically with healthy people, rendering the TPA invalid. It was a case that divided the presiding judgesas the 3:2 decision also found thatpentobarbitalwas included in the Narcotics Act.
Switzerland is one of few countries to have legalized assisted suicide in the 1940s; it has long been knownas a place for people to travel to for euthanasia or assisted dying. This decision comes after the recent invention of an assisted suicide chamber, known as the Sarco device, was introduced and permitted under Swiss Federal Law.

Vicky Phelan and the right of terminally ill people to end their suffering – Irish Examiner
Posted: at 2:40 am
Vicky Phelan, the terminally ill cervical cancer campaigner, has urged politicians to pass legislation to give people like her the option to be medically assisted to die. She justifies this request by appealing to the right of a terminally ill person to end their suffering.
Vicky Phelans last wish to the Irish State will be met by predictable resistance, by many of our politicians and a sizable section of the public more broadly. Securing justice is always an uphill battle, and no one knows this more than Vicky Phelan.
Even if Vicky Phelan is successful in this campaign for justice for terminally ill people, it is unlikely that she will benefit from it herself. Moral progress moves at a snail's pace in Ireland, and time is not on her side, as she knows only too well. But that is inconsequential; Vicky Phelans latest campaign is in keeping with her immense commitment to civic duty, public spiritedness, and indomitable sense of justice.
Before going any further, it is imperative to clarify a key point: euthanasia is not a disability issue.
In seeking assisted suicide, a person who is terminally ill is not trying to escape their disability. Instead, this is a debate about the right to choose in the face of death.
It is also about fundamental equality: someone who is terminally ill has a right to be treated as a moral agent on a par with every other person in society.
To be an agent, or to have agency, is to have the capacity to make choices. This is the essence of our personal autonomy. There is nothing more disrespectful to a person than to have their ability to choose being taken away from them, or to be impeded from exercising their self-rule.
Another way of expressing the same idea is that there is nothing more empowering than the ability to make a choice about oneself, about ones own life. It is our duty, as a society, to empower people, and that includes those who are terminally ill. Perhaps especially them.
In certain circumstances and under specific conditions, being able to choose when to terminate our life is to make a statement about our autonomy, our moral agency, our self-respect.
Oxford Philosopher Joseph Raz famously defined autonomy in terms of being the author of our own life. Authors write books. Think of your life as a novel, part historical and part fiction perhaps. Your autonomy is what makes it a book about you, it is your book.
The ability to make choices is pivotal to making our life-book our own original, unique work of art. All books must end. As any author knows the ending of a book is crucial to the success of the book, often the most memorable chapter of our magnum opus.
As American philosopher Ronald Dworkin says referring to euthanasia, none of us wants to end our lives out of character; we want the last chapter of our life to be consistent with all the previous chapters. How we die matters to us because we want to retain control over our life, all of it, until the last moment. The ending of any story should be congruent to what came before.
For those like Vicky Phelan tragically forced to contemplate assisted suicide, some of the most pressing issues are about being themselves until the end, and not be forced to write the last few pages of their book out of character.
They want to maintain their dignity. They want to be remembered in a certain way, and not in the condition they find themselves in. They dont want to be degraded into becoming the object of continuing anguish.
French philosopher Michel de Montaigne, writing in the 16th century, encouraged us to face death head-on, without fear. Today a terminally ill person like Vicky Phelan is being denied the vital character-defining moment of being able to choose when to end her suffering.
Death is the last chapter of our life-book, and we want to be ourselves, and maintain our character, until the very end. This is the reason why euthanasia under certain conditions ought to be a choice.
To impede or obstruct this choice is to take away someones dignity, to subtract someones autonomy, and ultimately to disrespect their moral agency.
That cannot be right. It would have been inconceivable to force Tolstoy to write a different ending to Anna Karenina, and similarly it is wrong to deny a terminally ill person authorship of the last chapter of their life.
After the divorce referendum, the same-sex marriage referendum, and the abortion referendum, assisted suicide for the terminally ill is the next chapter in Irelands unfolding history. Exactly what will be written in these pages will shape the future of Irelands own life-book.

Woman compared to the Grinch after showing lip filler results on TikTok – indy100
Posted: at 2:38 am
A TikToker had her lips done but instead of being compared to her favourite celebrity, she has instead been likened to the Grinch.
The LA-based 22-year-old took to TikTok to share the results of her cosmetic procedure while her lips were still swollen.
In the video she posed for the camera, showing all angles of her face.
U guys I just got lip filler and its so f-ing swollen is this bad [sic], she wrote.
Since uploading the clip it has received over 1.7 million views, 31,000 likes and 1,100 comments.
One viewer said: Giving Grinch for Christmas.
I dont think thats how its supposed to look, another wrote.
Another assured her that it is normal, adding: Everyone commenting has clearly never had filler, everyone swells differently. Mine were worse.
TikTok plastic surgeon Dr Sagar Patel put her mind to rest as he said this is the perfect example of trust the process.
In a video uploaded the same day, she asked if she is maskfishing.
Maskfishing is when someone may appear more attractive because they are, er, covering up half of their face.
The TikToker eventually provided an update assuring us that she is okay.
She said it has happened to her before, and her doctor confirmed that she wasnt having an allergic reaction. She said she appreciated the concern, but just wanted to share how hilarious the initial results were.
Would the healing process put you off getting fillers?

Latest Information And Guidance On Travel From India – Forbes
Posted: at 2:38 am
As the world witnesses the emergence of a new variant of the novel coronavirus, governments worldwide are continuing with strict vigil on what would make travelling from one country to another safer and convenient.
As a general mandate, all international travellers from India are required to submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel, including details of their travel during the last 14 days.
Passengers are being asked to upload their Covid-19 RT-PCR report from tests conducted within 72 hours prior to undertaking the journey. A negative test result is needed for the passenger to continue their travel.
Before boarding, passengers originating or transiting from at-risk countries are mandated to undergo post-arrival testing, quarantine if tested negative, stringent isolation protocols if tested positive, in line with the mandate communicated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Countries including the UK, Brazil, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Hong Kong and Israel are in Indias list of at-risk countries.
At the time of boarding the flight, only asymptomatic travellers are being allowed to board after thermal screening.
All passengers are being advised to download the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile devices.
Children under five years of age are exempted from both pre- and post-arrival testing. However, if found symptomatic for Covid-19 on arrival or during home quarantine period, they are expected to undergo testing and treated as per laid down protocol.
Passengers from key countries including the U.S., UK, Canada, Germany, Singapore and Dubai have to follow the following guidelines.
All international air passengers boarding a flight to the U.S. who are two years or older, including U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (LPR), need to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 viral test administered within no more than one day before their flight (regardless of vaccination status) effective December 6, 2021.
Travel to India for tourism and other short-term purposes resumed fully on November 15 for individuals holding tourist or e-tourist visas issued on or after October 6, 2021.
Tourist visas issued before October 2021 are not being honored and travelers attempting to enter India using one of these visas are likely to be detained and returned to their point of origin.
Additional categories of travelers including certain business travelers, as well as individuals moving to India as residents, are permitted.
The regulations for travel from India remain the same as notified by Indias Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that require all international passengers to submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel, including details of their travel during the last 14 days along with uploading their Covid-19 RT PCR report of a test conducted within 72 hours before departure of the flight.
The Britain government has made it compulsory for travellers to follow protocol such as taking a Covid-19 test two days before travel to UK.
Travellers need to book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test after they arrive in UK. They are needed to complete a passenger locator form, which is to be completed in the 48 hours before they arrive in the UK.
If youre in the UK for less than 2 days, you still need to book and pay for a day 2 Covid-19 test. You must quarantine at home or wherever youre staying until you receive a negative test result, or until you leave UK, whichever is sooner. You can end quarantine if your PCR test result is negative or 14 days have passed, whichever is first.
If your test result is positive, you must self-isolate for 10 full days. The day of the test is day 0. If your test result is unclear, you must self-isolate for 10 full days. The day you took the test is day 0.
If your PCR test result is delayed, you must quarantine until you receive a negative test result or until day 14 after arrival, whichever is sooner.
To qualify under the fully vaccinated rules for travel to the UK, you must have proof of full vaccination with a full course of an approved vaccine.
You must have had your final dose of the vaccine at least 14 days before you arrive in UK. The day you had your final dose does not count as one of the 14 days. Both Covishield and Covaxin are recognized as approved vaccines in the UK.
There are different rules in the UK if you are in a red list country. India does not fall in the red list and hence those travelling from India have to follow regulations mandated for the general public.
Children aged 4 and under do not have to take any Covid-19 travel tests. Children aged 12 to 17 must take a Covid-19 test in the two days before travel to England. Children aged 5 to 17 have to follow the testing and quarantine rules for people who qualify as fully vaccinated on arrival in England.
Direct flights from India to Canada have resumed. Passengers eligible to enter Canada and travelling on those flights must follow the general mandate by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
This includes obtaining a pre-departure negative Covid-19 test at the airport within 18 hours before their scheduled departure. Alternatively, travellers who have previously tested positive for Covid-19 can present a positive test issued by a certified laboratory in India. The date of collection must have been between 14 days and 180 days before their scheduled departure to Canada.
Passengers who travel from India to Canada via an indirect route still need to provide a pre-departure negative Covid-19 test result from a third country before continuing their journey to Canada.
Things to keep in mind include:
You should hence carefully consider your itinerary, transit options and entry requirements for third countries.
On arrival foreign authorities might not recognize or accept proof of vaccination issued by Canadian provinces and territories. You may need to obtain a translation, a notarization, an authentication, or the legalization of the document.
With effect from September 19, 2021, Germany no longer lists India as a country with a significantly elevated risk of infection. This means that the obligation to submit a digital entry declaration when entering Germany does not apply to those travelling from India.
Nevertheless, EU-wide travel restrictions remain in place when entering Germany from India or Bhutan.
Currently, the so-called 2G regulation applies in many parts of Germany. This means that access to accommodations, restaurants and events is only possible for those who are fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19. Additionally, it may be required to show a negative Covid test.
At this point, people vaccinated with Covaxin do not count as vaccinated, since this vaccine is not yet recognised by the German Paul Ehrlich Institute.
Only digital vaccination certificates recognised in Germany (Digital Covid Certificates according to EU regulations) are generally accepted. Travellers may therefore be denied access to events or facilities if they have only an Indian vaccination certificate. It is advisable to check in advance whether they can travel under the new restrictions by contacting their host or checking the website of the event that they are planning to attend.
Persons vaccinated with Covaxin or any other vaccine not recognised by the Paul Ehrlich Institute have to carry a negative PCR test report which is not older than 72 hours on entry in Germany. Please note that in these cases, travel is permitted only if there are urgent reasons for entry.
If you were vaccinated with Covidshield, please note that your vaccination certificate must contain your passport number or date of birth. Reference to Aadhaar number is not sufficient.
Singapore has implemented the SafeTravel Lanes to facilitate travel. The Singapore-India Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) came into effect on November 29, 2021. Under the VTL, fully-vaccinated travellers from India on VTL flights are permitted to enter Singapore without quarantine and need to undergo Covid-19 testing.
Short-term visitors and long-term pass holders need to apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass to enter Singapore under the VTL.
Travellers travelling on non-VTL flights from India into Singapore will be subject to the prevailing public health requirements based on the corresponding Singapore Ministry of Healths country or region classification for border measures.
As of November 18, 2021, India is classified under Category II, which implies travellers will have to meet stringent public health requirements that require evaluating where the traveller has been in in the last 14 consecutive days before arrival in Singapore.
Tourists travelling to Dubai from India are expected to follow specific protocols that include:
The certificate must be a RTPCR test. Other test certificates including antibody tests, NHS Covid test certificates, Rapid PCR tests and home testing kits are not accepted in Dubai.
The government mandates travellers to bring an official printed or digital certificate in English or Arabic to check in. SMS certificates are not accepted.
Passengers arriving in Dubai from India will be required to take another Covid19 PCR test on arrival at the Dubai International airport. If the test result is positive, you will be required to undergo isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.
Passengers are also being recommended to download the Covid 19 DXB Smart App.

Janet Hubert, famously known for her role as the original Aunt Viv from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, took to Instagram on Dec. 7 to deliver a message to those she deemed as vultures following her recent hospitalization.
This post comes three days after the actress revealed she was in the hospital for undisclosed reasons while uploading a cryptic post that received mixed reactions about how not making peace with individuals can cause harm to ones body. Hubert also thanked her former co-star Will Smith for telling the truth regarding their former feud.

Smith and Huberts public quarrel reportedly began in the 1990s, after she was replaced by another actress for her role in season four of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The pair ultimately reconciled in 2020 during the shows reunion special, where Hubert admitted she blamed the star for her career stagnation after her firing.
In the recent upload, Hubert brought up the negative portrayal of her now-deleted health post and called out the media and some unidentified individuals. In addition to her rant, she also informed her followers that she had returned home.

Hubert said, To the many of you who helped me feel better with your well wishesTHANK YOU! Positively heals, negatively kills. LIVE YO LIFE, IM LIVING MINE. #nowrunandtelldat. As Huberts post went viral, many pointed out the stars feisty attitude.
Aint even cut off the hospital band off her wrist yet and still sassy.

Among the comments regarding Huberts attitude, other people brought up that the flak she received regarding her health post was her fault because of how she shared the news on her social media page.
