A dereliction of duty | Letters To Editor | thesunchronicle.com – The Sun Chronicle
Posted: September 1, 2021 at 12:41 am
To the editor:
President Joe Biden should not be impeached, he should face a court martial for dereliction of duty.
His decisions are 100% responsible for the needless death of 13 American serviceman and women in Afghanistan. There is no doubt he has blood on his hands. Every American should be outraged at his incompetence and total inability to be commander and chief.
Sadly we know more Americans will die because of Bidens decisions. Its heartbreaking to see all these families suffering because our supposed leader is not mentally strong enough to make the right decisions.
Because of our president, America is the laughing stock of the entire world.
Our enemies are celebrating how weak we have become.
Our closest allies have called Biden Gaga and his handling of the crisis a monumental blunder. Whenever he holds a press conference he appears to be in a trance and has to read from notes or a monitor, which appears extremely difficult for him to do. The presidents oath of office is to protect the American people. He has allowed thousands of immigrants into the country without knowing if they have COVID-19. And now his inability to make the right decisions are getting Americans killed in Afghanistan. Where will it end? Are we going to let this incompetent buffoon continue to destroy our country? How many more of our American heroes will have to die?

I didnt think I could feel empathy for Michael Gove. Then he hit the dancefloor – The Guardian
Posted: at 12:41 am
If you had asked me yesterday to imagine a scenario in which I experienced any kind of warmth towards Michael Gove, well I wont say I couldnt have done it, Ill just say it would have taken some time. But it turns out all he had to do was go to a nightclub in Aberdeen and dance on his own, and not only did I momentarily forget his drawling self-importance, but the people of Scotland did too. You would think the other revellers would have chased him off the dancefloor, pausing only to spray paint him first, like a fur-coat wearer at an animal rights protest. If Aberdeen is famous for anything but granite, its the oil industry and whatever you think of fossil fuels, that means the city is rammed with experts. So Saturday night could have been the perfect opportunity to express that, maybe, they had had enough of Gove.
Instead, they posed for selfies with him, swapped tall tales (did he, or did he not, try to evade the 5 entry fee by saying he was the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster?) and made the man feel like a visiting and esteemed dignitary to the land of trance and bacchanalia. Theres a Narnia thing, a code of values older than politics; its worse than unkind to mock someone who is dancing its also cynical, joyless and where does it end? You would be like that woman who put a cat in a wheelie bin. What else might she dispose of so casually? Your dreams?
In fact, I hadnt even seen the video of Gove dancing before I was moved to empathy by the fact that he staggered from a pub to the club upstairs at one in the morning, red of face, out of place, lit up like the Commonwealth (yes, I have been looking up olde worlde synonyms for drunk, thank you for noticing). I felt like I had been there (the scenario, I mean, though I have also been to a club in Aberdeen).
Add to that Goves recent separation from his wife; newspapers always cover prominent political divorces as if they were slam-dunk scandals, and they must be surprised, though they would never admit it, at how rarely any spontaneous grassroots opprobrium materialises. Its because disapproval is quite a shallow and, more importantly, abstract emotion, while those of us who have been divorced and there are tons of us experience a ravaged empathy that overrides our critical function. We might, on the surface, pretend to be thinking how outrageous it would be that Matt Hancock was paying his girlfriend while snogging her in his office, but our actual internal monologue is all, Poor him, imagine having to move out with the paparazzi watching when your wife wont let you into the hall but then, poor Mrs Hancock poor Gina Coladangelo, what if only Hancock thought this was a love match? Poor Oliver Bonas (or to give him his real name, Oliver Tress), he must have thought he was too tall for this to happen Poor kids, theyre going to be reliving this for years.
Finally, though, its because its quite hard to feel animus towards someone who likes what you like. There are provisos; if they sound like they are lying David Cameron and football, for instance disliking them is even easier, but if the preference is sincere, youre well into truce territory. I saw Ken Clarke having a curry once and asked him if he wanted to join me and my sister. It was only partly because I thought nobody should have to eat alone if they dont want to; it was mainly that I was so pleased he liked curry, even though almost everybody does. Anyway, turns out he also likes eating alone, but there were no hard feelings.
People make the point, and I take it, that if you dwell too much on the humanity of senior Conservatives, its a failure of solidarity to all the people whose humanity those same Conservatives dont care about. In the end, though, its not about Michael Gove and his moves. Its about not being hardened by the hardness of others and, it turns out, the clubbers of Aberdeen are a world away from granite.

Album Review: Tevvez keeps the legacy of Zyzz alive with ‘Phantom’ – The Stanford Daily
Posted: at 12:41 am
To honor the passing of Aziz Sergeyevich Shavershian better known as Zyzz, a Soviet-born Australian bodybuilder Tevvez, a prolific French artist, produced a prodigious portfolio of songs and video accompaniments in his album Phantom.
Deemed the son of Zeus, Zyzz revolutionized fitness by popularizing aesthetics training to look like a Greek god and ultimately inspired a legacy of pursuing dreams beyond the monotony of everyday life. Given Zyzzs passing 10 years ago on Aug. 5, I thought a dive into Tevvezs memorial album was fitting.
This 12-track, 42-minute album romanticizes the journey and legacy of Zyzz with layers of orchestra-like chords and intense, resounding kick drums that comprise the songs baselines and dictate the tempo. The songs names, such as Vision, Guardian Angel and Legacy, also pay tribute to Zyzz, and the album cover depicts him ascending to the clouds.
Except for bits of choir-like singing at the beginning of some songs, Phantom features almost no vocals. Essentially, any human voice functions as just another instrument in the symphonic masterpieces of Tevvezs tracks. The album also includes both major and minor tones to contrast the inspiration Zyzz provided and the sadness of his passing. With both computer-generated and classical instrument sounds, the musical style resembles a blend of techno, trance and hardstyle that is more sophisticated than either genre alone.
Generally, the individual tracks commence with simple, light melodies. Over the course of each song, deep chords, kickdrums, clap drums, among other features, are smoothly woven in. The songs later return to their basic melodies before building up to greater intensity than earlier, evoking fervent feelings of strength and determination.
The musical variation among the songs allows the album to string together different aspects of Zyzzs life and legacy in an elaborate narrative. The opening track, Vision, begins with a slow, brooding melody, as if symbolizing the bullying Zyzz suffered; Vision later progresses to distorted arpeggios, as though representing Zyzzs dejection from the bullying and his subsequent vision to transform himself. The track then diverges to portray Zyzzs hard work, exhibiting a faster tempo and exhilarating drum sequences, and concludes in the same way it began possibly to depict Zyzzs passing.
Continuing to tell the story of his life, Infinity begins with eloquent, high-pitched wailing juxtaposed with sorrowful chords, perhaps representing an individual mourning. The song then switches to a bouncing melody, evincing the sparks of hope Zyzz provided fans, and continues to add layers of chords and kickdrums to denote the individuals endeavor to achieve their dreams ultimately conveying that Zyzzs essence will remain on Earth infinitely.
My favorite piece by far is Legend. Compared to other tracks, Legend evokes the most emotion and displays the greatest contrast between its climax and mellower preliminary themes. The song begins with a short drumroll and an elaborate prelude that resembles funeral music. Then, after an epic crescendo, the air is quiet for a transient moment. A thundering beat-drop shatters the fleeting tranquility, and the ensuing climax seemingly portrays the awakening of a sleeping giant with its emphatic kickdrums, possibly corresponding to the posthumous popularity of Zyzz in the past decade.
Phantom proves useful for a Zyzz-worthy purpose: pushing past limits in the gym. Especially on high volume, the intense chords, beat and kickdrums evoke passion and motivation, perhaps in an attempt to drown out any perception of pain.
I would consider Phantom to be Tevvezs greatest album. It includes all the musical styles he utilized in previous albums Waves, Obsidian and Divinity while also sounding noticeably more refined and intricate than previous works, featuring cleaner and purer-sounding chords. I find no fault with this album. Considering its songs together, I feel that Phantom excels in generating a desolate depiction of Zyzzs childhood and death, as well as serving as a poignant call-to-action for listeners to better themselves. The distinct elements of each song and the albums short duration ensure that the listener never feels jaded. It is, therefore, no surprise that the comment sections of the songs of Phantom on YouTube are almost exclusively filled with praise for masterfully preserving Zyzzs spirit and inspiring millions to pursue their dreams.

ARTBAT have dropped a brand new track ‘Flame’ on their own UPPERGROUND label – Rave Jungle
Posted: at 12:41 am
On August 27th, almost six years to the day since their debut single Mandrake, ARTBAT launch their own UPPERGROUND label with brand new single Flame. The label is sure to become a go-to outlet for the emotive techno ARTBAT is now known for around the world.
ARTBAT have been prolific in the studio and have put out a steady stream of high quality, always innovative sounds that make deep connections with their audience. They have also just completed a US tour and will soon tour South America. But first they step out with their own label, which is named after the way they want to be perceived in the music world.
Says the guys from ARTBAT of UPPERGROUND, during the pandemic, we had enough time to work on new music and had our heads deep in the studio working on new ideas. Now we feel like we have the right tracks to be presented on our own label. Especially after a worldwide lockdown, we wanted to kick off with something fresh and new, filled with life, colour, spiritual uplift and emotion. Now feels like the exact right time to do so.
The ethos of the label is to be seen as neither underground nor commercial, but simply a mark of unique, high-quality electronic music known as the ARTBAT sound and accessible to everyone around the world. After all, when your photo is on a billboard, youre playing to tens of thousands of people at festivals and hundreds of thousands more tune into your livestreams to enjoy your melodic techno, is this underground? Probably not, which is what makes UPPER GROUNDsuch a perfect name. As well as releasing their own music on the label, Artbat will carefully A&R talented new artists and give them a platform to shine around the world.
The scintillating first single Flame is a dramatic mix of techno and trance that is awash with feelings. A tender vocal layers in deep feelings of introspection while the elegant synths flash high above the moody drums. After an artful breakdown brings big moments of emotion, the drums drop once more and are sure to carry the crowd to a whole new level.
This single is a fantastic way to start UPPERGROUND.

Can you bet on roulette with Bitcoins? – The Jerusalem Post
Posted: at 12:40 am
Just because you sign up for a Bitcoin casino doesnt necessarily mean that you will be able to bet on roulette with BTC stakes. On the contrary, you may still end up wagering in USD. How does this work, and why arent you assured of betting with Bitcoin at so-called Bitcoin casinos? Read on to find out more.
Bitcoin Accepting Casinos Don't Always Count.
Why Does This Happen?
Dedicated Bitcoin Roulette Sections
There are ways to see if a Bitcoin casino permits you to wager on roulette games with BTC bets. The best way to do this is to look for a dedicated section of games at your cryptocurrency casino. These may be known as "BTC games," "Bitcoin games," "Bitcoin Table Games," or something similar. If roulette games are found under such a topic, you can expect to play Bitcoin roulette with real BTC stakes.
Bitcoin Roulette Bonuses Are a Giveaway
Bitcoin roulette bonuses are another sure-fire giveaway that you can bet Bitcoin on roulette games at online casinos. Heading to the promotions page and looking for BITC bonuses (bonuses that payout funds in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies) eligible for use on table games only takes a moment of your time. If you find these types of bonuses available, betting on Bitcoin roulette games with the cryptocurrency will be a near certainty.
How Likely Is It That I Can Bet on Roulette with Bitcoin?
Youll find that there is a roughly even mix of both Bitcoin casinos that only accept BTC deposits and Bitcoin casinos that permit you to wager on Bitcoin roulette games with BTC. Of course, given a choice between the two types of casinos, we would always recommend playing at those Bitcoin roulette sites that actively allow you to stake money on games using the worlds most famous cryptocurrency.
You may bet on anything and everything online.
Is it possible to play online roulette with Bitcoin? Yes, you certainly can. You can now gamble on almost anything using cryptocurrencies, and as Bitcoin is the most well-known and commonly used of the lot, it goes without saying that BTC-friendly online roulette games aren't hard to come across. Almost every Bitcoin casino will teach you how to use them.
Is Any Casino Good Enough?
No, because here's the thing: just because all cryptocurrency casinos include roulette games doesn't imply you can gamble with Bitcoin. Some dodgy casinos may change your Bitcoin deposits into FIAT currencies, such as US dollars.

Ben Affleck And Matt Damon Once Won $35K On The Only Bet They Placed In Vegas Thanks To Larry Bird – BroBible
Posted: at 12:40 am
When Good Will Hunting came out in 1997, it marked the beginning of Ben Afflecks and Matt Damons ascension to Hollywood royalty. While the duo rightfully earned the trophy for Best Original Screenplay at the Academy Awards, they also deserve some credit for their performances in the film (which netted the latter a nomination for Best Supporting Actor), as they had some impressive chemistry on the screen thanks to their longtime friendship off of it.
They mightve technically been acting, but its obvious theyd spent years honing their banter as high school buddies in Massachusetts and roommates in the Los Angeles apartment where they wrote the script. I also have no proof this is the case, but I really want to believe Affleck had a habit of going to Dunkin to grab some coffee before waking Damon up in the morning.
Earlier this year, Damon revealed he and Affleck resorted to showing landlords an article about the pending release of Good Will Hunting because they were too broke to pay rent. However, based on a story Affleck recently shared while chatting with Complex, there was a period where the two didnt have to stress as much after they hit it big in Las Vegas with a little bit of help from Larry Bird.
Affleck said that Damon joined him on a cross-country trip after the former traded coasts in the hopes of breaking into the movie industry, and when the two diehard Boston sports fans found themselves in Indiana, they decided to make the pilgrimage to Larry Birds house:
We went to French Lick and we were like, Where does Larry Bird live? So we drove up to his house, saw his basketball court, and were like, Is Larry home? Even though he wasnt thereor maybe he was there and he blew us off, I dont know, but we actually never saw him.
They also made a quick pit stop in Las Vegas toward the end of their journey, where they both agreed to make a pretty ballsy bet on a single spin of the roulette wheel in the hopes the jersey number Bird wore as a member of the Celtics was a lucky one:
We kept going and we were like, Yo, we were at Larrys house. Its a sign. We stopped in Las Vegas and were going to make one bet: were going to each put $500 down, which at the time was like an irresponsible fraction of our total net worth to be betting on a roulette number. But we did it nonetheless.
And I swear to God, I st you not, we walked into the casino, put the money down, looked around for the roulette tables. Both of us bet $500 on No. 33 and it fking hit. We walked out of there like, We have to leave Vegas now, we cant make any more bets. Got back in the car and went back to LA and felt rich.
When you consider a $1,000 bet on a single number in roulette nets you a cool $35,000, Id love to know how they ended up blowing through all of it, but when you consider Affleck and Damon now have a combined estimated net worth of $320 million, I think its safe to say it all worked out in the end.

Russian Roulette Of Time-keeping: The Conor Pass – Todayuknews – Todayuknews
Posted: at 12:40 am
Ive lost my composure, and now Im parked on Strand Rd
DEAR Diary Its Thursday afternoon, and Ive parked on Strand Road, Tralee, which is not all that near my office on Denny Street. I panicked, okay? I couldnt find a space in my usual haunt, the Brandon Car Park, and I fell apart. Graphically.
I was already late for my usual 2pm Thursday start. I was in Dingle this afternoon and decided to take the Conor Pass to work, and it was a very busy day on Irelands quirkiest roadway. If you catch the Pass on a good day, itll save time. If you dont, you are in Hell, my friend. The Conor Pass is to time-keeping what Russian Roulette is to the neurological system.
TodayI lost, and whats worse is my sister knows I lost. I meet her in the Brandon as shes awaiting a driving lesson. Its 2.10pm, and I should be working. She says nothing, but she knows. Shes shaming me through eye contact alone.
Butironically, a Fun Fair is set to make my day less fun still. I forget there was one here, in the Brandon, eating into the available spaces. This car park has nothing to offer this crazed motorist today.
Nows the time for cool heads, and thats where I fall down. I take a quick look for the spaces nearer the town square, there arent any there, but instead of heading out towards Denny Street, Ashe Street, that part of the world, I tear off in a temper towards Strand Road, which is metaphorically miles away.
I even pass a few spaces. I decide theyre not big enough, though they probably are; my mind is playing games with me, and Im happy to indulge my inner chimp because I lack composure. I am late, but Ill be damned if my mind cant make things worse.
I am now a liquid and might soon evaporate on top of that
DEAR Diary Im walking to work from Strand Road, so its still Thursday, although I feel like itll soon be Friday.
Im wearing a jumper, and it is roasting. Im in this situation because I dressed for West Kerry weather its not all that warm in the part of the world I woke up in today with no consideration for Tralees less temperate climate. As I pass the Bon Secours hospital, I observe that I have now turned from solid to liquid that is to say Im now sweat so I must consider my options.
But I only have one, and thats to go topless, which is not something I or anyone else wants to see happening. The Bon Secours is a hospital so, with the best will in the world and with all credit to the great work the people there do, not everyone there is going to be in pristine health. Thats just a fact of life in any hospital, and the last thing staff there need is for patients to look out a window and see a scantily clad me. I might be the cause of a bad turn or turns.
I am now as far as the Island of Geese roundabout the Conor Pass of roundabouts and I can sense the town centre drawing nearer. That reassures me in my race against oblivion. The next logical step after becoming a liquid is to evaporate, and I am dangerously close to the final phase of diffusion. Thats hardly ideal when Ive a Teams meeting at 2.30pm and it was already pushed back to give me time to participate.I cant tell the powers that be that I cant log in as I am now a gas.
Going for a pint: breakthrough in arduous negotiations
DEAR Diary Its now the following Wednesday, I did not evaporate last week, and life has instead taken a positive turn in that Im in the closing stages of negotiating a meet-up for a pint with a friend.
Im not sure how my friends feel about me identifying them in the newspaper, so Ive tended towardsgivingthem new identities when writing about them. Youll have read about my buddies Chad, Preston, Herb, Crystal I pick names nobody in West Kerry has but this is a friend who is yet to make his Diary bow. I will call him Tyler, and Tyler is a genuinely sound man.
One does not simply meet up with a friend. Tyler and I began this process back in April, when he suggested we meet up for a cup of tea or a walk.
We did neither, but weve since thrown some fine suggestions back and forth on WhatsApp. We could have played pitch n putt or gone for a spin. He informed me last month that there was Smithwicks back in stock in Garra, which was his way of saying Your drink is there, but you should join me as I drink something thats not Smithwicks in your company.
Suggestions, suggestions. Thats all they were. But now its almost September, and the negotiation process has reached a deal. He thinks we should meet up this week. Again, I agree, but this time we settle on a time and date. I enjoy the atmosphere of Flahertys Bar in Dingle, and thats where we will meet tomorrow night. Im looking forward to it and to filling you in on events in the next Diary.
Do you want to hear about it? No. Will I tell you anyway? Youre God damn right I will.

Big Brother 23s Derek X Admits He Should Have Played Chopping Block Roulette: I Was Overly Confident – Us Weekly
Posted: at 12:40 am
Derek Xiao became the second member of the Big Brother jury when he was voted out on Thursday, August 26 and he is owning up to his mistakes.
The start-up founder, 24, was voted out 5-2 after being targeted by Head of Household Sarah Beth Steagall. She originally put up Claire Rehfuss and Derek Frazier but the Chopping Block Roulette game let winner Alyssa Lopez remove someone from the block. After she took down Derek F, Xavier Prather was the unlucky houseguest to land the replacement spot.
Derek X wasnt picked to play in the veto competition, so when Xavier won and took himself off, SB used that opportunity to backdoor him. He had put her up during his HOH reign in week five.
Its the roulette wheel, Derek tells Us Weekly exclusively about his biggest game regret. I just should have played it and I think going back, I had everything I needed in front of me to realize that I should play the game, but I was overly confident in what I thought. And ultimately, thats what sealed my fate.
Watch above or scroll down to read our interview with Derek X where he also talks about his closest ally, who he wanted to go to the end with and whether he would ever play Big Brother again.
Big Brother airs on CBS Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.
Us Weekly: Do you think there was anything you couldve done to change your fate this week?
Derek Xiao: 100 percent. Its the roulette wheel. I just should have played it and I think going back, I had everything I needed in front of me to realize that I should play the game, but I was overly confident in what I thought. And ultimately, thats what sealed my fate.
Us: So you regret not using your BB bucks?
DX: Thats probably the biggest regret I have.
Us: Who was your closest ally and who did you want to go to the end with?
DX: My closest ally [was] Hannah by a slight margin, but I would say Hannah [Chaddha], Tiffany [Mitchell] and Claire were all up there, top tier for me, and I would have loved to go to the end with all of them. But probably a final two with Hannah. Me and Hannah just had a great personal relationship. I love that girl and we had a great game relationship too, where I thought we complemented each others weaknesses.
Us: Who do you think is playing the best game thus far and why?
DX: I think X is playing a very, very good game. I think he has an amazing reputation in the house. I think hes playing a great social game where everyone wants him in the house just for the entertainment. And then also, at a game level, he is not viewed as the biggest comp threat, but now that Im out of the house, I guess that goes up a little bit. So honestly, hes been executing flawlessly.
Us: Would you ever play Big Brother again?
DX: 100 percent. I would love to come back for an all-star season, but I dont know if people would consider me an all-star.

Super-gambler gets banned from another casino – and shares his secret – Birmingham Live
Posted: at 12:40 am
The undisputed king of the roulette wheel - a super-gambler who says his winnings run into seven figures - has been barred from yet another casino.
Balvinder Sambhi boasts he has developed his own system based on simple mathematics. That system, he says, has earned the Stourbridge 50-year-old a small fortune - but made him the scourge of casinos.
He no longer plays, but teaches the tricks of the trade - all above board, he stressed - to others. And it was while with two clients at Manchesters Napoleons Casino that Balvinder picked-up another ban. he says. The list is long and getting longer.
Read more: Why Tesco shoppers are emotional
He alleges the three won 1,000 on Tuesday night and he received his marching orders after collecting his winnings the following morning.
Im not a cheat, he protested, Im winning fair and square. These casinos want losers, they dont want gamblers.
Over the years, this paper has carried Balvinders allegations of being banned from Birminghams Broadway Casino, Five Ways, Rainbow Casino, Edgbaston, and the Grosvenor Casino on Broad Street.
Balvinder says he is walking proof roulette is not all about luck. And he has penned a book about his system, Breaking The Roulette Wheel.
He has travelled to Amsterdam and Frankfurt and won big on high-roller tables.
He said: On Tuesday, I was playing only two numbers on the roulette wheel and still won.
The bizarre part is I had to become a member at Napoleons to get my money, then they banned me. Basically, I had to become a member to be banned.
Experts have always said that winning at roulette is just down to luck. But Ive developed a system based on simple mathematics which helps me win every time I play.
In 2019, Balvinder told the Sunday Mercury: I have had 320 winning days and only 19 losing days since June, 2018.
I have taken around 70,000 off the casino in 16 months playing a small 200 bankroll. Ive never lost with my system over a sustained period and the casinos dont like that. Some days I win a little and some days a lot. My biggest single daily win was just over 4,000.
But the fact is I was winning consistently and nobody has ever done that before with roulette.
The A&S Leisure Group, which runs Napoleons, said the Data Protection Act prevented them from commenting on Balvinders claims.
But two years ago a spokesman for Birminghams Broadway Casino was more forthcoming.
He told our reporter: People have been playing the roulette for 200 years. If Mr Sambhi was winning consistently he wouldnt be coming into a casino in Birmingham. He would be a millionaire and playing elsewhere in the world.
Balvinder has shared his casino busting system with readers. He has dubbed it the two corner fraction betting system.
The system sees Mr Sambhi play eight numbers by placing a chip on two corners.
He waits 12 spins where the numbers 8, 9, 11, 12 AND 26, 27, 29, 30 do not win.
Then he places two chips on two corners, to ensure he wins if the ball lands in 8,9,11, 12 or 26, 27, 29 and 30.
He then waits another 12 losing spins with no winning appearance of those numbers, before repeating the bet - which he says offers him odds of 4.5/1.

‘Where is Doug Ford?’: Ontarians want premier to take action, as residents ‘play roulette’ by not getting COVID-19 vaccine – Yahoo News Canada

Ontario's chief medical officer of health, Dr. Kieran Moore, is indicating that we're starting to have to "live with the risk" of COVID-19 into the future.
"The higher we build our population immunity, thats somewhere over 90 per cent, the less this virus will be able to spread amongst vaccinated and unvaccinated," Dr. Moore said at a press conference on Tuesday. "The virus wont have a chance to mutate because there will be fewer opportunities to mutate within Ontario."
"Then our strategy is to prevent mutations coming in through our international borders... Once you leave this country your risk may go up to get exposed to a new variant, anywhere around the globe, but our strategy in Ontario, if we want to get back to a new normal, is to build the highest level of protection."
He indicated that, through this strategy, Ontario will see "small outbreaks" instead of more impactful "waves" of COVID-19, adding that it could happen as early as six to eight months from now, as more people receive their COVID-19 vaccines.
"You're actually playing roulette by not getting vaccinated with Delta being so aggressive and wanting to spread so rapidly across Ontario," Dr. Moore said.
He confirmed that 27.6 per cent of hospitalizations in Ontario are now in individuals under the age of 50.
"This is not just a disease that impacts the elderly," Dr. Moore said. "They are actually the most protected now with the highest rates of immunization."
As COVID-19 continues to be more of a concern heading into the fall, several people have taken to social media, particularly to questions why they haven't seen or heard from Ontario Premier Doug Ford.
