This is a US government standard for computer security which is    in place for the approval of cryptographic modules.  <\/p>\n<p>    By partnering with Fornetix, Seagate aims to strengthen    cybersecurity and simplify management of digital keys that help    secure data from HDDs and SSDs.  <\/p>\n<p>    This move provides yet another layer of security, meeting the    strict needs of federal agencies and helping them more    efficiently deal with external and internal cybersecurity    threats.
