I urge you to    commute her sentence to the time she served in pre-trial    detention, and release her immediately.  <\/p>\n<p>    I also call on the US government to:  <\/p>\n<p>    - Urgently investigate the potential human rights violations    exposed by Chelsea Manning.  <\/p>\n<p>    - Strengthen protections for those who reveal information that    the public has the right to know, and stop using the Espionage    Act to prosecute whistleblowers like Chelsea Manning.  <\/p>\n<p>    During her trial, Chelsea Manning was not allowed to present    evidence that she was acting in the public interest, and was    only allowed to explain her motives at the sentencing phase.
