A protester has been charged with possessing a prohibited item inside the G20 security zone. <\/p>\n

A man who wore a Guy Fawkes mask during a G20 protest has been charged with carrying a prohibited item in the security area. <\/p>\n

The 44-year-old was arrested on the corner of Tank St and North Quay about 1.45pm on Saturday. <\/p>\n

He has been issued with an exclusion notice and will appear in court on December 4. <\/p>\n

It's the second such charge issued on the first day of the summit. <\/p>\n

Earlier two women were taken to police headquarters for reportedly carrying gas masks. One, a 25-year-old, was later charged with carrying an unspecified prohibited item. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a video of a protester - once jailed in the US for helping disable a war plane - being arrested for ignoring his G20 ban for a second time has appeared on social media. <\/p>\n

It shows Ciaron O'Reilly surrounded by police, yelling \"Free Julian Assange, Free Chelsea Manning\" (formerly Bradley Manning, the US Army soldier convicted for leaking classified documents) before entering a police van. <\/p>\n

Police could not immediately confirm his arrest. <\/p>\n

O'Reilly was issued with a G20 exclusion notice on November 9. <\/p>\n
