Senior VP, Paige Leidig, said businesses will need to protect their data as they look to accelerate their adoption of Cloud based applications. <\/p>\n
Leidig expects this increased interest not only from the private section, but also in the public one. <\/p>\n
\"Governments in Australia have a Cloud first policy, and as we've seen that increase in the lead-up to the new privacy laws,\" he said. <\/p>\n
Sectors that have shown a interest so far include the government, financial services, and healthcare. <\/p>\n
\"Encrypting and protecting data, specifically consumer and customer information, will continue to grow as organisations use Cloud applications,\" he said. <\/p>\n
Clearer visibility <\/p>\n
Encryption is one of many security technologies currently on the market, though Leidig expects it to gain prominence in the coming months. <\/p>\n
