Edward Joseph Snowden (Elizabeth City, 21 de junio de 1983) es un consultor tecnolgico estadounidense, informante, antiguo empleado de la CIA (Agencia Central de Inteligencia) y de la NSA (Agencia de Seguridad Nacional).[2][3] En junio de 2013, Snowden hizo pblicos, a travs de los peridicos The Guardian y The Washington Post, documentos clasificados como alto secreto sobre varios programas de la NSA, incluyendo los programas de vigilancia masiva PRISM y XKeyscore.[3][4][5][6][7]

Snowden naci en Elizabeth City, Carolina del Norte.[12] Su padre, un residente de Pensilvania, fue oficial de la Guardia Costera de Estados Unidos;[13] y su madre, residente de Baltimore, es una empleada del Tribunal Federal de Distrito para el Distrito de Maryland.[14][12] Tiene una hermana mayor que es abogada.[12]

So while they may be intending to target someone associated with a foreign government, or someone that they suspect of terrorism, they are collecting YOUR communications to do so.
#9 I believe that when [senator Ron] Wyden and [senator Mark] Udall asked about the scale of this, they [the NSA] said it did not have the tools to provide an answer. PanARMENIAN.Net - Oliver Stone's movie about NSA leaker Edward Snowden has targeted three more actors for the cast line-up. As AceShowbiz reports citing TheWrap, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto ("Star Trek") and Tom Wilkinson ("Selma") are in negotiations to play Laura Poitras, Glenn Greenwald and Ewen MacAskill respectively in "The Snowden Files".
Poitras is the director of Oscar-nominated Snowden documentary "Citizenfour" who was also a part of Snowden's revelations. Greenwald, meanwhile, is a lawyer/journalist who was chosen by Snowden to leak information to. MacAskill is a contributor at The Guardian who helped break Snowden's stories about mass surveillance.
Written and directed by Stone, the movie has secured Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the whistleblower and Shailene Woodley as his girlfriend. The movie will be based on books "Time of the Octopus" by Snowden's lawyer in Russia, Anatoly Kucherena, and "The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World's Most Wanted Man" by Guardian journalist Luke Harding.
Earlier this week, Deadline reported that Scott Eastwood ("The Longest Ride", "Fury") would join the movie. He is set to play a National Security Agency agent.

The stars are aligning for Oliver Stone.
The Wrap reported that Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto and Tom Wilkinson are poised to join the directors Edward Snowden film.
Leo is in talks to play Laura Poitras, the documentary filmmaker who directed Citizenfour, the acclaimed documentary about Snowden.
Quinto will play Glenn Greenwald, the lawyer and journalist to whom Snowden leaked sensitive information.
Wilkinson is in negotiations to play Ewen MacAskill, a correspondent for the Guardian who helped break Snowdens story.
As previously reported, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Snowden and Shailene Woodley will play his girlfriend, Lindsay Mills.
The plot will focus on Snowdens trek from Hawaii to Hong Kong, where he met with Poitras and Greenwald to deliver classified NSA documents. The film will draw from the books Time of the Octopus by Snowdens Russian lawyer Anatoly Kucherena and The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the Worlds Most Wanted Man by journalist Luke Harding. In addition to directing, Stone co-wrote the script.
Eric Kopeloff and Moritz Borman are producing the film.
