Ayuthaya was the Thai capital for well over 400 years and was founded in 1350 by King UThong. The city sits at the junction of three rivers Chao Phraya Pa Sak and Lopburi. While there we toured two Wats. Wat Phra Srisanphet was founded during the 15th century and was later sacked by the Burmese in 1767. For two centuries after the city of Ayuthaya's fall a huge bronze Buddha sat unsheltered a
