Dundalk Institute student presents at virtual reality conference – Louth Live

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) said they are delighted to report that Michael Galbraith, an immersive technology specialist with Arup and a current student of the MSc in Computer Gaming and XR in DkIT, recently delivered a successful presentation at the Meta European HQ office in Dublin in conjunction with Eirmersive.

Michael showcased various virtual reality projects he contributed to as part of the company's Immersive Technology team.

These projects exemplified the potential of immersive technology to transform designs and engage the public with proposed solutions, reflecting the practical applications of the skills he is currently honing through the MSc program at DkIT.

DkIT's MSc in Computer Gaming and XR focuses on developing software engineering skills within 3D game engines and the skillset to model 3D characters and environments with a focus on Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.

The course equips students with the knowledge and experience needed to excel in the rapidly evolving world of immersive technology.

Michael's presentation at the Meta European HQ office in Dublin serves as a testament to the quality of education provided by DkIT.
