Spiritual Books
In this video I talk a little about some of the Spiritual Books that have had an influence on my life or been useful at some or other stage in my life. I discuss 39 or 40 books that I still have in my possession. Many of the best spiritual books I have read have moved onto another life. Some of my favourite spiritual books include an Occult book given to me by a practitioner of Catharse, The Dalai Lama #39;s Dzogchen : The Heart of the Great Perfection, OSHO #39;s : The Buddha Said, Gabor Mate #39;s : When the Body Says No, Lawrence Leshan #39;s : Cancer as a Turning Point , Ainslee Meares #39;s : Relief Without Drugs, Peter Meyer-Dhom #39;s Fragrance of the Heart - Encounters with Dadaji, Ken Wilbur #39;s : Integral Spirituality and Julia Cameron #39;s Walking in the World. I also talk about some important Buddhist books - but I try to keep it general and do not talk about any books from within specific schools of Buddhism (apart from Dzogchen). Among books I talk about are some whose authors have dubious reputations like OSHO and Sogyal Rinpoche - I don #39;t get too concerned about the author when I read a book and I #39;m more interested in his work. Of course the best teachers are the ones who consolidate their words with appropriate actions ! I am conscious that there is only one female spiritual teachers mentioned here and I #39;ll try to rectify that at a later date.
