Dr. Tippens is Provost of Pepperdine University having been a scholar, instructor, and professor for over 30 years. Dr. Tippens received his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University and did post-doctoral study at Yale University, University of Kansas, University of Chicago, and Johns Hopkins University. His academic interests include Shakespeare studies, 17th-century English literature, and spirituality and literature.
